    I've never personally had to ever take a timming chain off to change a water pump! Where have you seen that? I curious as to why you would even say that other then that say you did a fantastic job . No

      There is a device called a fuel sock which acts as a fuel filter inside this particular fuel pump

    i used the $35 belt and it broke in just 6 months. I am now replacing it with the $55 belt.

    Just incase anyone has a jack, the bottom bolt is 10x easier from the bottom! you can turn the wheel to the right and see where youre working with more room to wrench!

    Thanks man! 122k 2.5L went out in mine. I was homeless for a bit so idled mine more than i should have during the hot days. Im good now and replacing mine now as we speak. Best video on the net for this problem/fix

      Good morning, no use only transmission fluid for you dodge unless you have cvt transmission

    That helped a lot. I found that alternating hits on the water pump snout and the forward mounting tab worked well without any need to pry on anything. Somehow I didn't have any flat blade screwdrivers - #$++&#+€°!

    Did you check the fuel line under the hood first to make sure there was no pressure is that how you knew your fuel pump was bad?

    2:15 Awesome video...That top idler pulley now makes sense to me, I have a 2012 2.5L Fusion, and depending on the date of production that year, the idler pulley bracket has a third bolt fastening it to the head. I have 3 bolts on my idler bracket, and when I ordered a new Motorcraft pulley (part# YS356), they included the third bolt in the package to secure it, since some brackets during production only used two bolts.

      You can use a universal antifreeze, just ask at the auto parts given the make and model .
