The first three games have overall great soundtracks. In my opinion the first games is the best, but the original is only in mono. But i think someone made a stereo remaster here on UA-cam. I would say its best to see the environment the track is attached too forsure. Definitely one of the PS2 era gems. They also have an assortment of exploitable bugs speed runners use to go fast which is fun to watch and attempt.

The main theme of mhw is not the main menu theme. There are also a lot more good themes.

Always love Ace Combat song reactions. You're in for a wild ride if you keep listening to more. Funny you mention owning AC7. It has a great main song called Daredevil, which it's motif is played throughout the game, even in the first mission a bit. Other AC songs i highly recommend are Unsung War from AC5 and Liberation of Gracemeria from AC6

When you see the MV when the girls were 12 and 13 the song makes total sense. Plus I think Su's rap singing through the verses is cool. That chorus is so fun and catchy.

Welcome back. Doki Doki is onomatopoeic for a fast or excited heart beat, the song is mainly about a girl waking up late and rushing to get ready for an exciting day at school with all her friends. As you have been told, it was originally recorded in October 2010 when Su was 12, Yui and Moa were both 11. They made their live debut with this song in November 2010, the single was released a year later along with their very first music video. The first album was released lat February 2014.

This is my first video I’m watching from your channel. This is a completely different vibe but check out KIV Orchestra, my favorite song is either Maki or Zaklyuchenny. They’re a Klezmer punk band.

They debuted this song in October 2010 during a Sakura Gakuin music festival, so this song is over 14 years old. At that time, Su-metal was 12, and both Yuimetal/Moametal were 11, this means Moametal (now 24) and Su-metal (now 27) have been in BABYMETAL for more than half of their lives! Since the girls were not even teens yet when BABYMETAL was formed, plus the fact that their original goal was to make metal music that young Japanese kids could relate to, the early songs sounded extra cute/kawaii and were about topics like getting ready for school, eating snacks at midnight during a sleepover, wanting chocolate, etc.

Doki Doki is onomatopoeia for the sound your hear makes when you're excited in anticipation, and it's racing and you can hear it in your ears. I personally would not translate it any more than I would translate woof woof. But if I were to translated, I would translate as excitement because that's what it conveys. I think this is great. It's good to hear a different perception of things.

They are so freakin adorable performing this, even as adults 10+ years later.

Agree about the energy. This performance is basically three young women (successfully) channeling their inner pre-teen schoolgirls -- search "making of doki doki morning" and you'll see how ridiculously young they were when they recorded and first performed this song.

Nice one, thanks and welcome back! "Doki Doki ☆ Morning" was their very first song. They originated in 2010 as a subunit of a larger j-pop idol group formed by girls between 10 and 15 years old. So, it had to be necessarily poppy (and it's also a bit childish and silly) but we have to admit that it's also crazy metal for that same context. 🤣 In later live versions like this one, Su-metal imitates her younger self. Moa admitted that Su is very good at that. They don't play it live much anymore lately. Now, this is more like their version of "fan service". So, I'm so glad and honored to have experienced this very same performance in Yokohama last year. 😊 🤘🦊

So, to fill in some extra context. The full choir section is a near identical call back to the title song of the prior Ace Combat game, AC 5: the Unsung War. The male voices are singing a Latin poem written about an in game fairy tale about a demon called Razgriz. The abridged of the tale is Razgriz appears during times of great change (such as a war). His first appearance is that of a demon, bringing destruction. Zero is a prequel to the Unsung War, in which an equivilant of Razgriz makes his destructive appearance and it is up to the player to stop him. The solo female voice is only in zero and can be interpreted as the hero's voice dualing against Razgriz's. The second part of his tale is after a long slumber, Razgriz returns, but this time as a great hero. In AC5, the player's squadron takes up the name as the Demons of Razgriz and are the heros who finally save the world from the weapons and organization behind both the final fight in AC Zero and conflict of AC5. I highly recommend listening to The Unsung War next to get the musical connection.

Sorry to be that guy but it’s “The Belkan War,” not “Balkan War.” The Belkan War was an event in Ace Combat lore when the country of Belkan attacked its neighbor Osea as well as former Belkan territories. Due to the efforts of the player the Belkan war goes very badly for them, and Belka responds by detonating seven nuclear weapons on its border in an attempt to stop Osean invasion. On the musical side, Zero is up there with some of Keiki Kobayashi’s best works. To put this final boss song into perspective, you and the final boss enter into the fray, your missiles unable to reach him due to advanced jamming. In the chorus the boss gives his speech about a world without borders, and how the V2 nuclear missile will erase all borders. Then he says the fateful words: _”It’s time.”_ The Spanish guitar-and the missile-takes off. Your faithful AWACS sends you a message: the control system for the V2 is in the boss’s cockpit, and to stop the missile you must shoot him down. They also analyzed a weakness in the boss’s jamming system: it will not protect him directly from the front, so frontal attacks are your only option. With the second chorus taking to sing you make your charge, like an Arthurian knight, jousting your enemy with AMRAAM missiles for lances, passing again and again until you emerge victorious. The “Arthurian knight” bit is also not prose, the game is littered with Arthurian mythos references-the battlefield called “The Round Table,” the enemy superweapon “Excalibur,” the final battle taking place over the Avalon hydroelectric dam, the final boss’ fighter designated the ADFX-01 “Morgan” (after Morgan le Fay). The final dogfight can be seen exactly like I described it: two knights of the sky, jousting again and again.

Some cool added details, the music for this game actually plays in the MCs head as a form of magic. So this song is his minds interpretation of how the fight is going
