    I have a question about PrTMS since you are knowledgeable about it , is an accelerated protocol possible if not is it because noticing changes on the qEEG takes time which makes it a non viable protocol ?

    • @italktms

    There are TMS injury groups on Facebook that say that they were injured by TMS , I find it interesting because I am unable to find any trials that mention such effects and my only conclusion is that those people are possibly suffering from neurosis , have you had any patients that brought this up ?

      @zorintoto Gotta remember that some of those groups, people have had standard TMS where they reach motor threshold. PrTMS uses 1/4th of the amplitude and is more precise. There are so many factors such as amplitude, whether the clinic is using EEGs to track progress, etc.

    prTMS/TMS has given me a great deal of memory trouble. Memory loss was one of the first side effects for me (as explained to me by others who witnessed me at the time - I do not remember not being able to remember in the early stages of post-TMS shock). It has been roughly 15 months since I completed the treatment, and I still struggle remembering things that I have known most of my life, such as how to turn on the dishwasher, remembering important safety things such as switching off heating devices, locking doors, etc. I also seem to have lost a fair bit of memory concerning interpersonal relationships; e.g. remembering what a friend does for a living, or when I last saw them, etc. Memory loss is not the most significant complication I have had post-TMS, and I am aware that my situation/response seems to be exceedingly rare, but a) I am still human, and; b) it's not as rare as it is made out to be, as a significant number of other people are having similar problems post-TMS, and were similarly lacking the appropriate medical warnings. *edited for typos only.

I was devastated the other company wouldn't let me get into the chair even though I'm in recovery myself and was making nearly all the sales for their services it was not a good fit for me personally so I left. I understand family business but when your son moves from Arizona and walks right into NFB and TMS full session treatments after you hired an employee whom was sought after for personal experience and was also selling the services to be denied care....well when you just buy franchises and businesses and your spread out between rental properties, restaurants and hotels I wouldn't expect you to really understand and or care about the ends and outs of taking care of your employees especially within the mental health and substance misuse field. Little mind-boggling but I definitely don't hold anything against anyone anymore. God bless you and yourcontent.

    I wish if it was cheaper for the general public , it's a miracle for sure Is there a concerted effort to bring down the cost of TMS ? I could have sworn that there was a foundation or group that's trying to help pro Bono but can't seem to find it , TBS was thought to bring down the price of sessions since it's just around 5 min a session but sadly they still cost the same . It is such an issue for people who have tried TMS and benefited and can't afford it again that it came down to buying Used TMS machines for home use.

      FACTMS.org is the one that I work with. Everything you said is 100% true and part of the reason for this channel I know there are good providers out there that are trying to get it / keep it at an affordable price! I also know that there’s plenty that want to charge an arm and a leg for it!

      No tms at home … yet, I’d say 10 more years! As far as the cost of a chair, it depends on the maker but in average $100k

    I finally got up the nerve to try TMS. It hurt (like a light saber through my brain) and yes, my depression skyrocketed. I had to stop after two weeks. My TMS team wanted to keep increasing the intensity. They kept saying things like “ it’s not supposed to hurt”, “ it’s early yet, just stick it out”. That my treatment was not personalized (and that I felt like I was buying a used car) felt reckless. it makes more sense that the right spot and the right intensity is selected with intention and refined as needed. in addition to depression and anxiety, I have multiple sclerosis and was hoping for MS symptom improvement because WHY WOULD IT NOT help all function of a nerve, not just one aspect. Anywhere up near San Jose, CA that does this personalized treatment? I actually think it was working when the intensity was very low.

      @italktms 3 місяці тому

      At this time there is no PrTMS location in San Jose, ( prtms.com )the closest listed is Modesto :( A quick google search shows that San Jose is saturated with clinics and I saw some claiming to be EEG guided! If they adjust amplitude, we’d have to ask them directly. Kyle@italktms.com - I’m more than happy to help!

    • @andreacatura3382
      @andreacatura3382 3 місяці тому

      I would be super grateful for some speaking points/questions I can ask when calling a facility asking for PrTMS (whether or not it’s exactly the same as EEG guided TMS I’m a little unclear). Like you said, the bay area is saturated which puts clinics in the position of having to “sell themselves”. I need direct answers to specific questions instead of relying on vague promises of their being accommodating. Thank you!

    • @italktms
      @italktms 3 місяці тому

      @andreacatura3382 I’ll tell you right now you’re not going to get prtms unless you’re willing to travel:( I feel that you’re very knowledgeable about this already to be perfectly honest. Adjustable amplitude & personalized treatment is what you are seeking. EEG guided is going to help but doesn’t ensure the adjustable amplitude

    I want to give this treatment to my 7yr old daughter who has a dual diagnosis of Down Syndrome and level 3 Autism. Not looking to treat DS of course but definitely her stimming and lack of speech. Do they recommend more sessions in addition to the initial 6-8 week treatment? How is prTMS different from MeRT?

    • @italktms
      @italktms 3 місяці тому

      I love this comment, thank you. Regarding the # of sessions - this is going to depend on the brain and how the paitient responds to the initial stent of treatment. In life, will they require additional rounds of tms? It’s safe to say, most likely. When, would be the appropriate question and I can’t answer that. Regarding the MERT vs. PrTMS question, Wave Neuro agreed to do a podcast with me on 2 occasions now, but both times, didn’t follow through. They were kind enough to send over some reports and brochure to sell me their product. Peak Logic has been extremely transparent and helpful with educating us with their tech. After speaking with many, MERT is closer to standard TMS but they do an EEG every 10 treatments. PrTMS takes the approach of utilizing the lower amplitude and adjusting the dosage to the clients response. Also, EEG guided, but every 5th session & the eeg appears to be more intricate. Please see my video in “is tms safe fire kids?” For more details on that.

    As someone who has been dealing with depression, anxiety and panic attacks for my whole life, medicine treatment worked well to me, but after finishing the treatment and quitting the medicines, after 6-7 month, my anxiety(GAD) and panic attacks came back... So my psychiatrist recommended me to try rTMS for 20 sessions... I've done 2 sessions now and honestly, even after first session i started to feeling better,, my anxiety is very decreased now, and i hope it get better and better after full treatment... If you are suffering by mental issues and you're reading this comment, and if you are nervous about this treatment (just like i was), i want to say there's nothing to be afraid of... there's no side effects or pain or burning or anything else... it's just so relaxing and calm... I hope anyone be able to get this treatment and live their life happily ❤
