I am a daily medical cannabis user and also go to group substance use and mental health classes and it’s hard to explain to them but I have healed trauma from cannabis and group therapy at the same time. Helped me ease myself through it without pain and anxiety

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to treat depression, anxiety posttraumatic stress disorder, and other conditions.

Accelerated protocol is 2 a day max. My understanding on the reasoning behind this being the max is sustainable benefits - if you pick someone up too fast there isn’t enough proof of long term benefits

I’ve tried to join these groups but am denied every time! I would love to interview some of these people. I don’t deny their beliefs and would love to hear them out! I have had a few patients that did get horrible headaches migraines during and after TMS but that is the most that I’ve personally witnessed/ had reported.

@zorintoto Gotta remember that some of those groups, people have had standard TMS where they reach motor threshold. PrTMS uses 1/4th of the amplitude and is more precise. There are so many factors such as amplitude, whether the clinic is using EEGs to track progress, etc.

YES!! I agree 100% There are clinics that insist that clients continue getting tms when they clearly shouldnt and I do feel that play a major factor into the equation

@@italktms Ok just stay safe buddy. I have heard there is a rare chance a seizure can occur from TMS. I actually came across your video because I was interested in TMS to induce Savant Syndrome as previously done many years ago by Snyder

@@italktms I have severe social anxiety disorder. Medication still doesn't effects any !! Can I try this ? Does it work for social phobia? Or not

TMS is better then any med- combination of meds in my opinion. As far as the phobia - this is going to depend on the locations treated/ protocols used! To answer your question- I would say, there are absolutely protocols that will significantly help with this!

Im so sorry for your troubles, this sounds very troubling! I’m a little confused though, did you do PrTMS or did you do standard TMS? I’d also like to know if this is something that you noticed post TMS or if your memory started during your sessions? Thank you for the information and again I’m so sorry that youre dealing with this. @@italktms As I understand it, "TMS" is a term for the general application of this technology. The treatment I had was repetitive. There were no brain scans done prior to treatment. [To speak plainly; I had 34 sessions of 5Hz on the left hemisphere, 4 treatments of 1Hz on the right hemisphere, although these treatments were combined, such that the total was still 34 sessions, Monday to Friday] (Thank you for the question) No; memory loss started about three weeks after the cessation of treatment. Feel free to talk to me further.

@@italktms it means we don't need to be happy much...its just a temporary and symptoms will come again soon...do you know poor people can't take booster sessions time by time in their lives.... Do we need to happy again ?

@avchannel2559 I know that everyone can not do TMS. I know not everyone is willing to do TMS. I know so many that are uninformed on what tms really is but most importantly, I know that TMS saved my life and insurance covers it :)

@avchannel2559 where are you located? You have no insurance? It sounds like you’ll meet criteria to get insurance to pick up the bill and yes- depending on a few things and protocols used, I’d say yes tms will help you!

FACTMS.org is the one that I work with. Everything you said is 100% true and part of the reason for this channel I know there are good providers out there that are trying to get it / keep it at an affordable price! I also know that there’s plenty that want to charge an arm and a leg for it!

You can get a used mag venture R20 for around $5k but do NOT do your own TMS , targeting the wrong area is a recipe for disaster

At this time there is no PrTMS location in San Jose, ( prtms.com )the closest listed is Modesto :( A quick google search shows that San Jose is saturated with clinics and I saw some claiming to be EEG guided! If they adjust amplitude, we’d have to ask them directly. Kyle@italktms.com - I’m more than happy to help!

I would be super grateful for some speaking points/questions I can ask when calling a facility asking for PrTMS (whether or not it’s exactly the same as EEG guided TMS I’m a little unclear). Like you said, the bay area is saturated which puts clinics in the position of having to “sell themselves”. I need direct answers to specific questions instead of relying on vague promises of their being accommodating. Thank you!

@andreacatura3382 I’ll tell you right now you’re not going to get prtms unless you’re willing to travel:( I feel that you’re very knowledgeable about this already to be perfectly honest. Adjustable amplitude & personalized treatment is what you are seeking. EEG guided is going to help but doesn’t ensure the adjustable amplitude

I love this comment, thank you. Regarding the # of sessions - this is going to depend on the brain and how the paitient responds to the initial stent of treatment. In life, will they require additional rounds of tms? It’s safe to say, most likely. When, would be the appropriate question and I can’t answer that. Regarding the MERT vs. PrTMS question, Wave Neuro agreed to do a podcast with me on 2 occasions now, but both times, didn’t follow through. They were kind enough to send over some reports and brochure to sell me their product. Peak Logic has been extremely transparent and helpful with educating us with their tech. After speaking with many, MERT is closer to standard TMS but they do an EEG every 10 treatments. PrTMS takes the approach of utilizing the lower amplitude and adjusting the dosage to the clients response. Also, EEG guided, but every 5th session & the eeg appears to be more intricate. @@italktmsso far it’s been good, I’m a little worried about the seizure threshold, my providers never warned me.. and I’m on a regular TMS machine with NeuroStim, not the kind of machine he’s talking about here with pTRMS
