Hmm that is a good one! I'd definitely try using Mocha to track the moon-footage as best as you can. Then spend a lot of time manually match-moving the clip until your have a nice track. Let me know how it goes, I'm curious to hear what you end up doing as well :) Best, Leo

@@BlauwFilms aw thanks. I'm a beginner so i don't know if I'll succeed, but then i guess my best bet right now is to track the camera itself somehow and place a 3D object at infinity or something.

@@Drag0nStorm1 That would exactly be the approach! :) I'm sure you can do it. But it might take a few tries and some frustration to get right hahah If you have Cinema 4D you could give their "Camera Tracker" a try as it's usually a bit more accurate with shaky footage.

Absolutely :) Maxon Cinema 4D is the 3d software that I'm using. But I'm using an additional render engine that's not the standard one called Chaos Corona. Good luck!

Hmm did you set the Colorama mode to Ramp Gray? You might have to pre-compose your layer if you want to Luma matte to work.

Hello Elias, it would be pretty much the same type of layers and technique as in this video. Most screen replacement videos on Nuke that you can find on UA-cam cover the node-setup you'd need to follow :) Good luck!

Hello Alicia, that sounds like an annoying issue! So the Material Manager simply showcases all the materials/shaders. If there are no unique texture maps included in each material, there will be no mention of them in the Project Asset Manager. A few things to check: 1. Are the texture maps that are imported in a supported file format? (I've had issues with .dds files before) If so you'll have to manually convert the texture files and re-import them. 2. Are the shader settings correct? 3. Are you in the wrong render-engine? And you're simply getting a rendering error? It would really help if you could send a screenshot of the issue to leo@blauwfilms.com Then I'll give it a look and I can hopefully help you more. Best, Leo

Thanks a lot! Yeah I noticed a while back and asked the Corona Forum what the best alternative solution is... But no real luck as of yet. For the intersection you can make use of a Boole object and then apply a Luminance material to that section. However that's just faking the laser that hits the surface. For making an actual laser I haven't found a solution at the moment. Will ask around and get back to you! - Leo

My apologies for having cut that out in this video hahah! Inside of the Boris Mocha panel you have to first hit "save" on the top left corner (a button with an arrow pointing down). Then the mask you've made is locked. Inside the Mocha "effect" in your Effects panel there is a dropdown for "Matte". Click on "Create AE Masks". It will create the mask directly onto that layer. Ahh nooo... That's unfortunate! Yes the download can take ages. The texture sets are huge. I'm sure it would look epic through. As of yet I don't have any pre-rendered HDRIs completed. I'm soon going to be looking at optimizing the setup to be a smaller download size. I'll put both of these things on the list of to do's. Good luck! - Leo
