One thing I'll add to your analysis of the Diavolo v Metalica fight (my favorite as well), is that it's so fitting for the boss of a mafia to be able to manipulate groups with several allegiances into fighting each other for their own benefit. Manipulating Narancia into killing Risotto is, in a way, what he's done the whole part, manipulating Bruno and his gang into dispatching the hitman team

Ghiaccio vs mista will always be my favorite

Only one I disagree on is the Ghiaccio fight. The action is some of the best in JoJo and Mista shooting himself over and over just to try and kill Ghiaccio is so cold (pun unintended)

We have a different opinion regarding who the best-written character is but I have to admit that your reasoning (and the way you tell your perspective) is amazing. Liking your style.

Best character in Part 5? Maybe, in contention with Diavolo. Best animated character? No. Jolyne, Pucci, Kira and DIO far exceed him. Best in the whole series? Part 7 and 8 (prolly 9 in the future) would have something to say about that. Johnny, Gyro, Valentine, Gappy etc are 3 tiers above Buccarati.

I still prefer Giorno, but Bruno is my fav JoBro for sure.

Finally someone talking about how great is Bruno Bucciratie he’s for me the best character of part 5 by far and the fan base underrated him a lot they often talk about Ceasar, Kakioyine or Gyro in term of jobros but never about Bucciratie.

Had this in my recommend lately, gave it a good watch and I gotta say, this is great! Diavolo has always been a character that got a lot more outright flak just for how different he was from the others, but I think what youve managed to do is succinctly explain the aspects of his character that make him unique in that regard. Great work with the editing and narration too, you convey your points well! The only critique of that is that maybe for future vids, would you be able to provide sources for the fanart you show? Its just so your viewers can find/follow those artists, and you never know, you'd probably be able to get some original pieces for your videos with those good connections. Yknow what I mean? Kinda adding onto your section about the duality between Diavolo and Giorno: there's an argument to be made concerning how their individual backstories make them who, and what they are. Think of it this way: Giorno is the son of a mass-murdering vampire who stole someone's body, murdered, impregnated multiple women - then take into account the kind of hell that Giorno went through as a kid, until the lone mafia fella intervened as a thanks for Giorno saving him. Despite the circumstances and nature of not only his birth/lineage, but his childhood, Giorno went on to be a good person who's stand imbues and manipulates life, giving things a chance to grow in the way he never really had. Diavolo meanwhile, was born from a two-year pregnancy in a prison, had a nice life in sardinia, had goals, aspirations, family, a girlfriend...and he torched it all and went on to rule italy, his dominance over passione and the country turning parts fo its populace into addicts, violent stabbers, weak, etc. Its worth looking at their duality that way, that someone who has nothing goes on to help everyone but someone who had everything goes on to help nobody but himself. Even the stands are parallel: Giorno has a stand that makes life and encourages its growth in direct opposition to his lineage as Dio's son, Diavolo has a stand that actively destroys and tampers with the naturality of life, despite being human and having a seemingly normal childhood. I feel like people dont get diavolo because they immediately compare him to Kira, but to me, Diavolo is an embodiment of the worst of humanity, the kind of person to hide in the shadows and let people destroy each other and chase after ghosts while he sits back in his throne and watches the carnage for sport.

Full Diavolo character: King Crimson+Diavolo+Doppio = AT LEAST objectively top 2 villain character writing wise. Valentine possibly can be put ahead and p1 Dio is the only one close

for the question of who the original personality is; I don't believe there is an original, that Diavolo was born this way. We see the two sets of eyes of Doppio/Diavolo in the anime, but I don't think it is shown in the manga so that evidence won't work for everyone. But I believe Dop/Diav were born that way and are two sides of the same coin, Doppio being the clumsy, open-hearted personality that Diavolo hides behind. I find it so fascinating the idea of the "Devil" being hidden inside somebody unremarkable, so that you would never know he is operating in their shadow.

He’s actually my favorite Jojo villain. To put it short, he’s the most menacing to me. He’s just pure evil and cruelty and unlike the other villains there is no joke to it. DIO was a showman, Kira was an absolute freak but Diavolo was just DEATH DEATH DEATH. Almost every scene he shows up in features him killing or severely injuring the main cast or other people.

What I don't like about him is that we have some kind of egotistical monologue of him wanting to be "king" without any scene of him growing in the mafia or any detail of why he became a mafioso whatsoever. It's like Araki was trying to build an objective/ a purpose that the character has but was too underdeveloped in my opinion. His duality with Doppio is really cool though, to manipulate a person that lives in your body is truly evil.

Finally, some appreciation for Diavolo. Fantastic editing and explaining! Only one little complaint, tho: the music was sometimes a bit too loud, making it difficult to hear you. Oh, also, one more thing: the line "nothing he's got he really needs" was interpreted not very correctly. It rather meant that Diavolo doesn't really use all that power and money he's got as a mob boss - like, he doesn't enjoy successful, luxurious life, he doesn't triumph as an owner of the country - he just sits in a dark corner, fully covered in paranoia and fear. Really fascinating.

I agree with everything except that Diavolo should have looked like a mob boss like he does when shadowed. It just looks so cool

I do think is less of a matter of being underrated and more of the fact that Jojo have soo many amazing villains that is inevitable to choose who is less and who is more. Diavolo main issue would be lack of screen time because other then that i think is a very good and interesting villain, is just the competency is very rough.

Omg, Diavolo is lowk more interesting to me than Kira or Dio, I couldn't really explain why but I knew I loved his character throughout Golden Wind and how he opposes with Giorno is mwahhhhh. The son of god defeats the devil is so mwah mwah mwahhhhhh. Overall, Golden Wind and SBR best jojo parts lol.

Diavolo had to lose to super plot armor and Giorno being a Gary Stue. DIO lost cus he underestimated Jotaro. Kira lost from being overconfident in Bites the Dust. But Diavolo? Plot had to beat him

Little funfact about DiD: As 9:54 adresses this, DiD-Systems do not necessarily have an original personality. It is rather that they split during developement and the "original" is either lost or never formed in the first place as the development of an integrated healthy person only happens in later stages of childhood.
