I've known three junkies that finally got clean and they're all arrogant, selfish assholes now. Which is the main cause they became addicts in the first place. People spent their lives work and earnings getting them clean and all they do is use them now and blame them for everything. Its the disease of the selfish and shameless. Find me addict who hasn't had a long history of using people and being extremely selfish (even before they became addicts). You can't.

As a part Irish-American I was surprised to see how hostile Dublin was. Don't get me wrong, it's an adorable city and I still love the Irish....but. I had several really aggressive junkies approach me and demand money. I had a few overbearing Cops demand my passport at the Dublin Airport (once while I sleeping waiting for a flight). I had another Dublin resident at the airport intentionally make me miss a flight by taking over 25 minutes to check my bags (pretended to drop items on the floor and very, very slowly pick them up, etc). I'm certainly not gonna let a few isolated instances make me feel ill will about a people, but there were some downtrodden, flat out assholes there. Far more than I encountered in the rest of Europe.
