The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (Russian: Микоян и Гуревич МиГ-21; NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. Its nicknames include: "Balalaika", because its planform resembles the stringed musical instrument of the same name; "Ołówek", Polish for "pencil", due to the shape of its fuselage, and "Én Bạc", meaning "silver swallow", in Vietnamese.
Approximately 60 countries across four continents have flown the MiG-21, and it still serves many nations seven decades after its maiden flight. It set aviation records, becoming the most-produced supersonic jet aircraft in aviation history, the most-produced combat aircraft since the Korean War and, previously, the longest production run of any combat aircraft.

It's originally from Hasegawa. The former Revell kit of a Bf-109 G-6 had also engine details and a retractable landing gear.
very good video and amazing detail! but "611" had a whitewash camo in real life, so you could maybe try to do research before making models! :)

Very nice work! How did you achieve the black shadow along panel lines? Is that pre shadowing or airbrushed after the camouflage colors?
@@michael-4681 Thanks. I applied post-shading with airbrush. I mixed too much thinner into too little paint.

@@Cyan1deFPV I recommend you to make this model if you have it in stock. If you don't have it in stock, it would be better to make it from 1/35 scale models.
A good portion of the Type VIIc deck is wood, that was stained with a blue/black paint. Why would you rust it?

Hello modellmate!i build exactly the same kit 3years ago.i must say the kit is tamiya quality and very well Engineert&i had alot of fun building it.there were no flesh or ejecktor pinmarks on viewable places.the manual was easiely 2follow.the kit build like from itself.and I totatally not regret the purchase.i hope you had the lot of fun building like I had.with sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
