Husband and wife duo, travelling the world one step at a time. The children have left home and now it's our turn to see the world, in between working! Both of us love an adventure, arrange our own travel/accommodation using online booking platforms and it's not unusual for us to booking as we go along. We love a bargain and will try and find the best deals. We're happy to backpack and have a bit of luxury now and again.
Back in the UK, we travel in our motorhome Whitty and are usually accompanied with our one eyed rescue dog Buddy.

Solemn and crazy things in Phnom Penh
Follow us as we embark upon a very mixed adventure in Phnom Penh Cambodia. We visit the very solemn killing fields memorial and the S21 museum before embarking upon a crazy tour of the central market. Things hot up as we head out to dinner and get stopped for not paying the bill?
We stayed at the Stay Sweet homestay in Phnom Penn, we do not feature the homestay in this video but cannot recommend it enough.

Train from Hanoi to Hue, SUSPICIOUS Goings on with the Train Staff (SCAM ALERT?)

We took the SE19 Lotus Train from Hanoi to Hue/Da Nang overnight. Shortly after boarding, we were offered an "upgrade" to a private cabin for cash. We managed to negotiate a 50% reduction in the price and were then moved to someone else's cabin. The original residents of the cabin had also paid for an upgrade and then a group of four people moved into our original cabin. The price of beer on bo...

Thank you,
Awww! What a lovely couple. Welcome to Cambodia! ❤
Thank you, we loved it and hope to be back.
Thanks for the nice video.
Glad you enjoyed it. thanks for watching!
WHAT .. in upper case to make it look more , important , "GOD LOVES A TRIER " , DIV ....
He certainly does 😉
That food market is awesome
It was great and so much choice, highly recommend
i watch your videos they are really beautyful
Glad you enjoy them , thanks for your comment🙂
Sounds like there is a lot of passenger shuffling going around, to make you feel like your getting "upgraded" , but in reality, if the train was not t too full, if you stood your ground, and declined the upgrade, the additional passengers destined for your room, would have been upgraded anyway, and you could have saved the 1.1M dong. Perhaps you should come to Australia & travel coast to coast on the Indian-Pacific …..
Yeah we definitely felt like that at the end, when we reflected back on the whole experience! On the bucket list for sure.
អរគុណអ្នកទិញទឹកដូងនាងខ្ញុំ❤
you're welcome, it was delicious 😀
Apart from all these “upgrades”, how was the experience on this train? Scenery, speed, food on the menu, etc etc?
Train was comfortable and a good nights sleep. Breakfast pack was as described and we didn't eat anything else. Unfortunately didnt see much as it was an overnight trip but in the morning saw a few villages but weather was dull and dreary, so not much to comment on I'm afraid.
That hotel looks beautiful. What was the name of it?
@@tdoonie8244 It was the Lavender Central Boutique Hotel. Very nice hotel in the heart of the old quarter.
@@LouAndStew Thank you!

Glad you found it useful and it was breath-taking.
2:27 I am very happy that you have visited my Hometown. I was born 60 years ago in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi and my House is right next to the Opera House. I love my Hometown even though it is very noisy and chaotic today ❤
How lovely. It was a truly wonderful place and we loved the food and the people 🙂
Takes me back. Loved Hanoi.
Can’t wait to see the Asia videos now!
Good video; what's the name of the hotel?
Hosteria y Restaurante America
Your Content is good but you didn't get proper audience views and subscribe because of your lack of proper SEO.
Do you have something to charge your camera battery or cellphone in the camp?
Hi, no where to charge anything but we took 2 power banks with us and seemed to last. However we didn't go on any social media as no signal, so only using phones for photos really.
What month did you visit?
we went in October.
I’m trekking in January, this was helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful, enjoy!
Glad it helped, hope you have a great time.
Hi it's me Ronaldo. U made nice video in Bolivia. I hope u come back one day. I wanna see u again in mirror or reflect on Uyuni salt flat. Have good trips in Latin America.
Thank you, we loved Bolivia so much, we hope to be back for sure.
Truly amazing and your training clearly paid off. Not for the faint hearted and Louise I can now see why you were awarded your Certificate of Endeavour by Staffordshire Regiment for an earlier 95 mile walk which compared to the Inca Trail must have been a walk in the park😂 Well done Stew for continuing when you felt so poorly on day 2. Could you come home safely now please!!❤
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
Really interesting. Such a great experience xxx
Thanks for sharing.
What's happened to the £50 a day limit. Lot of Cocktails, Beers and Meals being consumed.😁Enjoy and have a great time.
still on it, if you take an average over the last 8 weeks!
how did you get puerto natales from el calafate ? how long & how much ?
we went via bus and mainly used rome to rio for ideas of travel and then busbud to book. it cost about £26 pp and didnt take too long, from memory about 4-6hrs.
We are really enjoying your videos in Argentina and around the region! We are heading to Buenos Aires in December. Would you mind sharing if you needed an onward ticket when you went through immigration? We hope to stay for as long as our tourist visa lasts and then figure out where we go from there.
Hi thank you! we werent asked in immigration for an onward ticket. We travelled to Ushuai Patagonia after BA. However, we arrived in Argentina via the land border, so it might be different if flying, Happy travels.
A chilly frontier with a Flamingo club and our favourite geezer. Louise, you are a lucky lady!😊❤😂
I am indeed!
A bikini 😂. Goodness me. I bet that was invigorating. Wonderful sights. Llama!

Ohh god what a beautiful accent, welcome to our city darling ❤❤
Thank you and what a beautiful city it is!
Gee,,,you've done your homework re local information ,,,, have a good time in Argentina,,, best wishes from London
Thanks!
The duty-free shopping is not seen in Asuncion so much as it is on the border with Brazil, in Ciudad Del Este (City of the East), about 340 Km from Asuncion. In that region of the country you can also visit the second largest hydroelectric dam in the world (the first one is in China), by the name of Represa Itaipu, a binational (Paraguay-Brazil) entity. Paraguay is one of few countries with totally clean, renewable energy. In fact, it produces more energy than it consumes, and the surplus is sold to Brazil,
Thanks for sharing :-)
@@LouAndStew Nice videos; safe travels!
In the war of the Triple Alliance, Paraguay fought against 3 other countries, Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. After 5 years (1865-1870), Paraguay lost not just the war but 80% of its male population and a lot of its territory, including the famous Yguazu waterfalls. The country was left in ruins with mainly women and children. The whole world was at war then, for example, in the US you had their Civil war going on,
Amazing views. You guys would be perfect for the next series of Race Across the World!
That would be a dream!
Thank you for a fabulous video & what a stunning hotel, glad you made it both ❤❤
Thank you
Fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyed this update. Kept looking on maps to see where you are. Loved it. What an amazing journey xxx
So do we!
thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
contemplating Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side is like "watching the movie", while from the Argentine side it's like "being inside the movie"...
Totally agree, on the Argentinian side you feel totally immersed.
omg! the views! those trees! amazing journey, guys! keep on going!!
Thanks so much!! There's a great one coming soon about spending 3 days in a Land Cruiser, you should watch that one 😅
Loving your adventures. Really interesting xxx
Love myself some Buenz Areus!
Argentina 80% of the Falls .Including all important ones ,Garganta del Diablo included. Nature and walks .. No doubt for me
The time is typically 20 minutes or 30 minutes, it will depend on long the journey is, if they are late, the time of the day etc. You can just ask the driver but you can also go inside and keep an eye on other people of your bus, or even the driver, who will also leave the bus
They do normally count the passengers before departing, too, so there's little risk of missing the bus during the rest stops.
There's no necessity to do border control if you are in the border area, only if you want to go further inside each country
You guys could go to Itaipu dam, the second largest in the world
