I don't get it. For someone who has that kind of money to spend, are they really just going to accept the present interior decoration? Surely they'd want to make their own statement on the place, even gut a lot of it?
I don't think the furniture comes with the property. It is usually professionally staged to showcase the place. Once you bought the property, you could do anything you want, interior-wise.

How can house prices go up for the next five years as inflationary costs drive up homeowner expenses. How can the FED lower interest rates while inflation is not under control. Inflation will only get worse as government continued to borrow a trillion dollars every 100 days? Set yourselves up to survive. These clowns won't warn you of the impending economic collapse until its obvious to everyone.
Those are all good points. I think what Ramsey is saying is that there are still other forces at play that will drive pricing up for the next 5 years that are stronger than the factors you mentioned. At end of the day it’s a supply vs demand fundamental and there is still strong demand and limited supply. But your point about the US having too much debt is definitely an issue not just for real estate. It could blow up the dollar entirely or the US might figure out a solution. Who knows. But until then we just try to make the best investment decisions we can that sets us up for growth with what we can control.
