Nice pickups! One title I always recommend is Marketa Lazarova. It’s a Czech film from the late 60s. Bleak but beautifully shot and very stylish. If you want another interesting war movie, The Ascent is excellent. It’s actually directed by the wife of the filmmaker who made Come and See.

I'm thinking about upgrading my To Die For Blu Ray to that 4K. Great video and welcome back! We Have Missed You!

Bro I think you have an addiction lol. Trust me, new shiny stuff is super fun! For like 5 min, but let’s be real, you actually going to rewatch most of those movies ever before you die? I’ve come to terms with the fact that I might as well ONLY buy movies and games that I know for a fact that I will at least watch/play a few more times before I go, we have a very finite time on this planet, the collection does look dope though, not trying to be a troll, just some serious pondering on what’s important in this life. It is an absolute underrated masterpiece. It has surpassed time and is still relevant to today, and absolutely hilarious. I just got my blur copy too. I love that fucking movie. It never gets old.

' Fox and his friends. ' Fassbinder's best film. ' The Vanishing ' I wish had never been made. A cruel film that could mark some for life. Awful film. I do not like banning films, but if I did it would be my number one. Perhaps a suggestion: ' Crazed Fruit ' a Japanese masterpiece. I have an excellent Criterion of this film. Suggest too ' Gertrud ' directed by Dreyer. I admire you as a serious collector of film.

Alright, fully convinced, I think Portrait will be my next purchase this month. Miller’s Crossing is my least favorite Coen bros film. I’m with you there. I’ve watched it 3 times trying to like it 😆. Those criterion breaks were bangers! I’m so curious about Wings of Desire. I didn’t end up grabbing it during the sale. But your description and non-rating intrigue me more on the film. Also, I forgot I wanted to pick up Portrait of a Lady during the sale - gah! I’ll have to wait for the next flash sale or something.

I thought that when you said it. im surprised you didn't dig American friend but try again some time. glad you liked midnight cowboy though, one of my favourites in the collection. I think I love black and white films from the 30's-60's probably more than u do. oh man I love southpaw!

I also watched Insomnia, my major complaint is that they didn't depict insomnia that well in the movie. More of a style over substance film, I still enjoyed it.

Wings of Desire, the two Terry Gilliam films, and Midnight Cowboy are the best of this bunch for me. Dustin Hoffman's Ratso Rizzo character from Midnight Cowboy is among the most indelible performances ever committed to American film; once seen, never forgotten. Thanks for the video and for taking chances on films outside your comfort zone. I bought Baron Munchausen, Time Bandits, Jabberwocky, Three Fantastic Journeys by Karel Zemen, Inland Empire, and Thelma and Louise--- all on blu-ray, as i'm not into 4k. Thanks, enjoy your viewings.

American Friend gets better with every rewatch. I find it to be an almost perfect film. Super glad you liked Midnight Cowboy. Of course After Hours was a must buy. I have to watch my copy of Portrait of a Lady on Fire still. Great grabs brotha!
