  • @ChristophHenry-m6p
    @ChristophHenry-m6p 10 днів тому

    Were you ever legitimately sick at any time and if so... How does the Airline treat you? I understand that American is extremely unforgiving and will assign you punitive points for things that were not entirely your fault or there were extenuating circumstances.

  • @ChristophHenry-m6p
    @ChristophHenry-m6p 10 днів тому

    Can you go into more detail about how much pressure you were under NOT to make ANY mistakes... Such as being 2 minutes late or being at the wrong gate after a sudden gate change? How quickly did your Supervisor contact you and how was it handled?

    😊 When based in NY, was it at LGA and then you could do either JFK or EWR?

    • @brinersealey
      @brinersealey 27 днів тому

      At my airline they can call you out of LGA, JFK, or EWR if you're on reserve! I have personally never flown out of EWR or been called to work a trip out of there. I split my time between LGA and JFK, but it is possible to make all of your trips out of one airport if you are on a line so... do with that information what you will :)

    Love the update! I’d be curious to see which base you feel has better flying - PHL or LGA. Before I worked as a FA, I lived in South Jersey. You’re in a great area. I love Suraya. I heard it’s gotten hard to get in. I used to take free tango lessons in Fishtown the first Friday. A fab yoga studio that has since closed down was in Northern Liberties. I remember there were a lot of NY transplants living in Fishtown. It is a vibrant area.

    I could be wrong, but you look like your wearing contacts? I used to date a flight attendant a few years ago and she had contacts but when flying she always wore her glasses because she said the air conditioning caused her eyes to dry out and then her contacts would start bothering her eyes.

    Anyone who applies for the FA postion has to realize it is not a routine job. You are going to be working weekends and holidays and your working hours are going to be all over the map. But the job has tremendous benefits also and lots of flexibility. you are not locked into a 9a-5p Monday-Friday lifestyle. That is what I loved about it. I was someone who never liked working 9a-5p so this job was perfect for me.

Please, if you have anymore tips for interviewing and are willing to share any other details about your F2F interviews, I would be so grateful!
