G#7 is also a secondary dominant here, leading to the C#m7. Tritone substitutions are also fun to play with. You can always substitute a secondary dominant with a flat II7#11. For example, the E7 can be replaced with a Bb7#11. This is something you hear a lot in jazz.

Yes it is all those things, boom-chicka strum pattern, turn around includes hybrid picking with descending 6th's, and ending the run with an old school country lick in G major pentatonic, with the use of bending the minor 3rd (Bb to a major 3rd B - 5th string). Seen you on Dave's show chat. You asked for details after I mentioned my theories about the firmament. I'm not a flat earther. Most of this is personal speculation from my own research. I believe there was a physical structure/barrier we called the firmament. I believe it was a layer of fine ice crystals suspended high in the atmosphere. It was thin enough to let light through from the sun but it was too thick to see most of the stars or the Milky Way belt. I think a catastrophic event of some kind caused it to collapse in a short time, likely a CME, causing massive rain fall on a global scale. It could also explain why people lived so much longer before the flood since there wouldn't be as much UV radiation getting to earth. I see this a the reason why rainbows only appeared after the flood since the firmament caused a hazy sky that filter the light in a way that the sun didn't make a rainbow. It could also explain the extreme obsession early people had with the sky if you imagine them seeing the clear night sky for the first time after ages of it just being too hazy to even see the Milky way.

Yes, I find it all so interesting. When I learned about Wernher Von Braun and him being a nazi scientist who was at the forefront of rocket technology from WW2 . He was part of Operation Paper Clip and started NASA. His tombstone says" Psalms 19:1 the Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handywork" Operation Fishbowl 1962, U.S. Govt. Conducted a series of high altitude nuclear tests. In one of his books he mentions that the rockets kept hitting some kind of "sheild", they thought it was possibly made of Diamonds.
