Back to back testing the best 2024 KTM Enduro bikes.
KTM Demo days at Crow Canyon Turkey run! Testing the new 2024 450xcfw, 300xc, 250xcw and 500xcfw against my personal 2020 350xcfw. I came away really shocked at how great the new 450xcfw was! This will be my next bike for sure. Perfect power, great chassis and suspension. Not corked up like the 350 and 500 are. Loved it!

Scenic Fire Road trails at Hatfield McCoy Rock House.

Exploring the amazing fire road trails at Hatfield McCoy Rock House in the fall! So beautiful. Riding my 2020 KTM 350xcf-w. Most of the Rock House trails are geared more toward side by sides and ATVs as they are really wide but they were a lot of fun to ride 100 miles on dirt bikes as well. Great video but that’s crazy using power tools on an oil change especially a dirt bike with weak aluminum. 30 plus years in mechanics and electrical metal fabrication I’d never in my life recommend power tools to tighten something like this.

    • @913outdoors
      @913outdoors 4 місяці тому

      These tools have a low power setting that only torques to 3-5 lb/ft. As long as you feel the thread start and light touch to start threading its a huge time saver and does no damage. Come back through with a torque wrench as needed. To me I have more feel and control than using a T handle or socket wrench. If you barely touch the trigger you can run a bolt extremely slow and know instantly if its cross threading. Its been over 20 years since i've stripped or broken a bolt. Definitely impossible to get that feel with air tools. I'm using a Milwaukee Fuel M12 3/8 impact gun. Try one out on something you don't care about to test and you will see what I mean. They are amazing how much feedback and control they have.

      @@913outdoors I have tons of power tools impact guns I have switched from using air tools. Yes I use them all the time taking bolts off but Almost never use them threading on always use your hands to thread it in first. You do understand how an impact works? It’s hammering down on the threads. Especially dirt bike engine casings are very weak cast aluminum. I dunno your bikes you do what you want your video was very good and informative also I just won’t use impacts on my dirt bikes. Besides on the wheels.

    when you buy a bike you have the books of the bike or car or what ever. ( STARK VARG DONT GIVE ALL THE SPECS). they always stick on there's lying from the 80HP. when i go on the site i chat with a kind of stupid human. Who flush me right when i ask a Q. for the motor specs. He or She right 80hp and QUIT. (is there anybody in there! ) HEY! CHOW!

  • @paulbernier3484
    @paulbernier3484 4 місяці тому

    hi! the manufacturer never give the specs of the bike! Do you have the specs, motor specs for exemple; if you really have 80HP/hrs🤣🙂 it's = to 60 000watts/hrs. WELL with a Battery from 6000watts you understand you ride arround 12min. IN the best conditiion for the motor with free shaft, your weight, bike weight etc, etc, etc. drop the autonomy a lot rest maybe 2-3-4 min. BUT I'm sure it's very cool to ride but the real power of the motor is arround 8000watts/hrs or if you prefer in HP it's (( 10.2HP )).HAVE FUN! check sig.plate on the motor.real power it's the continuous power. ohm's law(MATH) can help you a lot to understand how that work's.

    I have a 2009 sxf 250. How many liters of oil does it take when you change both the filter and oils

    • @913outdoors
      @913outdoors 4 місяці тому

      1.1 liters is the capacity on your bike. If you change it every 5-10 hours, use 1 liter exactly. If you go longer than that use 1.1 as those bikes burn off a little bit of oil typically.

    Never ever use any power tool to start a thread unless you don’t care about cross threaded and ruining your bike. Always thread by hand then you can use whatever you want after.

    • @913outdoors
      @913outdoors 5 місяців тому

      Definitely always make sure the threads catch before cranking. The 3/8 impact on the low setting won't break a bolt but if not starting at slow speed to feel it out or turn the first 1/2 turn by hand to be sure threads catch is important.

    You did not mention anything on the weight? With real tubes and Dunlop tires it will be close to 270lbs Are you able to hip the bike up on the tall Stark stand ?

    Do not use an impact to install bolts 😬

    • @913outdoors
      @913outdoors 6 місяців тому

      On setting 1 the most it puts down is 8lb/ft. And that's if you really crank on it. Just zipping bolts on I measure 5-6lb/ft and that's the spec. Trust me I get it! Lol. But these new Milwaukee tools are really accurate and make service work a breeze.

    • @stevesmith756
      @stevesmith756 5 місяців тому

      I believe he’s trying to say it’s REALLY easy to cross thread using an impact while installing. Thread by hand always then you can use whatever you want

    • @913outdoors
      @913outdoors 5 місяців тому

      Yes always either super light/slow spin them to start or turn by hand slightly to make sure threads catch. I've been working on bikes for over 30 years and have never stripped a thread. Just have to be careful.
