I stepped into your channel a few months ago, maybe more, I don’t remember, it seems I’ve been knowing you forever, and I chose to follow you because I liked the way you talked, the sound of your voice, your storytelling, the fact that you live in Portugal and you know which is the struggle of getting brand new trandy make-up if you live in Europe but not in the UK (I’m Italian!😅), the strenght you show while dealing with your life and the necessities of your son, the fact that you are not afraid to talk about your feelings, the way you store your make-up in a simple and messy drawer😂, and I could go on and on. I’ve been following you because you are the way you are and I like you for that. You looked and look like a person I would hang around with in my real life because of many different reasons, but your phisical appearance is not included among them. I never cared about that because it is not important to me, you have much more to offer than a pretty smile or a perfectly combed hair! Although I think you have a pretty smile and your hair looks perfectly good to me, please focus on your being such a nice soul and don’t compare yourself to idealised and unreal beauty standards. I think you’re just having a very natural low self esteem period. I’m having one. I can’t bring myself to post and my mind and body image are basically in the toilet lol. A lot of it has to do with what we expose ourselves to on a daily basis. Comparison is natural but it’s true what they say that it is totally the thief of joy. What I would say to you and to myself is “do you really want to be conventionally attractive? Do you want to look like every other influencer and tik toker etc who look like cookie cutter versions of each other?” I know I don’t. I’ve always been very proud to be different, to be the weird girl. I think we have to learn to embrace and celebrate our differences and not allow our brains to deter us from that. Hello, friend (I feel like I’m hanging with a friend when I watch you so that’s what I’m calling you). Ok so first of all, I understand what you’re feeling. I have deleted many videos and selfies because I feel like I’m never good enough or can’t measure up. Your dentist was awful for saying what she did. I notice your eyes more than anything while watching your videos. I am so self conscious about my teeth. A kid in elementary school told me my teeth were yellow and gross. It’s never left me despite the ridiculous amount of whitening I’ve tried to do. I also don’t feel like I fit in anywhere. I’ve lost every single real life friend. I made new ones after we moved and I just never feel good enough for any friend group. I only have online friends and I’m so self-isolating at times that I don’t tend to keep them for long. I have no actual words of wisdom here, just want you to know that you aren’t alone. You are seen for who you are (pretty freaking awesome) and appreciated for the content you make. Thanks for opening up and sharing what’s been on your mind and heart. ❤

hey girl, I don’t comment on videos often but just like all the other wonderful people commenting on this video I had to. Everything you are feeling is normal! Does it suck to feel this way? YES! But….this too shall pass. Embrace it and try to get to the root of what is causing it (sounds like you already have) and be ready for the next time it happens because it probably will. We’ve all gone through similar things. Just two days ago I went to work with my husband so he could drop me off at the airport later that day. Everyone was in business attire. The ladies looked very put together and I was in jeans, a t-shirt, and a ponytail. I felt so inadequate in that space. I immediately started thinking all kinds of negative, destructive thoughts. So I had to figure out why and put it into perspective and make changes to make myself feel better bc this had less to do with them and more to do with my insecurities. I feel better just talking it through. I, too, watch your videos bc you are relatable. You’re not going into debt to buy makeup. You seem to buy when the budget allows and I like that. I don’t even really watch you for the makeup anymore I just enjoy your content so I keep watching. And I happen to think you’re gorgeous and always love your eye looks. I hope just venting to a couple thousand friends helps you feel better too. Be well and take care.

Just so you know, your videos make me feel like watching a friend. I think you have the most beautiful eyes on UA-cam. I think it is refreshing to watch someone who looks like a normal person, not just a perfect model. I think you are beautiful but it is so refreshing to hear someone else who feels the same way as most of us do. Keep doing what you are comfortable doing.

We don't really need better editing, what you're doing works and we enjoy it and come back for more. I completely get you, doesn't help when you're an overthinker too on top of everything else! I know what you are growing through. Do you and pay no mind to those who tell you things are wrong with you or ugly. Hurt people hurt people. I love watching you and honestly never paid any mind to your teeth. I’m not on here to nit pick at someone but to enjoy their company (even if it’s via video). Sometimes not reading all the comments helps. If you see a negative comment just delete it. That’s what I do.

If it helps then I don’t think your appearance has anything to do with your success or lack of success here on UA-cam, and it unfortunately just has more to do with the current climate of the beauty community on the platform. I’ve noticed it’s a lot harder for beauty content creators to enter the scene in the past few years which probably has a lot to do with the emergence of TikTok. Less people are seeking out long form beauty content and those that watch it aren’t really expanding the pool of creators they watch. I also think the type of content you’re making, panning content, is just out of vogue at the moment. Looking at the biggest name on UA-cam atm, it seems to be mostly first impressions, commentary and rapid review content that’s getting the big numbers. So if the numbers are important to you, you’ll probably have to shift around the type of content you’re creating. Selfishly though, I would prefer if you keep going the same path you currently are as you’re one of the few beauty creators I’m watching on here these days since you’re one of the few creators that don’t feel like you’re trying to sell me something. I had to purge my feed a few months back as I was finding that the creators I was watching were causing me to have very toxic spending habits to a point where I had to fully remove any review-type content from my feed. Panning content has made me have a much healthier relationship with my makeup collection and caused me to stop splurging unnecessarily when I have more than enough makeup in my collection that I could focus on instead. So I really appreciate what you’re doing here and I hope you keep at it, even if you need to take a break to decompress for a moment. <3

I don't comment much on here but I just wanted to say I think you're gorgeous and I love your content 💓 Don't take your dentist's comments to heart, she's probably just trying to sell you on more products. I also got Invisalign for bite issues and when I went in for the consultation my dentist told me "your profile will look SO much better" (eye roll). Hang in there! 💞

Maybe instead of going from the top down, you snaked (so top to bottom, then bottom to top)? That way you could work on more shades at the bottom. Also maybe give yourself a "skip" option? So if you're really hating a shade you can skip it and start working on the next shade in the column. Obviously you can do whatever you like, but those came to my mind if you wanted to stay with *in order* aspect of the project. Great job regardless! It's so hard to pan a shade you're not enjoying.

You should do whatever you like, we like to see the progress anyway. If you want to stick to the PTP in order project, you could try to pan the eyeshadows in order and at the same time pick something else that you like more or that pairs better with the eyeshadow you are trying to pan and go on with the two of them at the same time😘

What if you changed the project name to something other than pan that palette in order? Linear pan that palette? Pan that palette in (my) order? Or maybe you could tack this on to pan those eyeshadows and always pick a shade from earthy to work on in that project? Just brainstorming! I personally don't mind but people do get hung up on the project names sometimes

Tbh I do think it’s cheating to pick a shade BUT!! What I think you can do is pick a shade that’s really calling to you right now but then you have to pan two shades across from it in any direction before moving on! So if you pick a shade, pan that shade and the two shades after it in any direction you want. Does that make sense? I hope so haha. I think that keeps the spirit of pan that palette in order while also giving some flexibility to have a successful project. :)

I think the beauty bay palette is very big. Doing it shade by order, I can see it becoming boring, specially cause you’ll be stuck for too long on the same colour even if it’s a different tone. I just love seeing the progress so if you want to mix it a bit go for it 🎉

I hope too that they bring back the vintage and dancing in the sky pallet. Love to buy them. I have now the colours of rain, new neutrals, the Jupiter and the get nude. Love them all. Even with a primer and a glitter glue they crease. More when is is hot outside. But i just tap with my finger in the crease and it looks great again. I dont mind because it is a easy fix😊

I think there’s shadows that you can get pan somewhat very easy… but when you try to finish that same pan it takes forever to finish it! I think some shades just move around a lot which allow us to pan faster… but not use up as faster 😂😂😂 my crazy thoughts on that

I go in hard on my pans and pack a ton of shadows on , it's just makeup and not yours , so why do you care so much? I love a used looking palette, the dirty the better ... people are silly , I paid good money for my makeup I'm definitely going to use it !
