Exploring Itoshima | Klook Tour From Fukuoka | Ichiran Ramen Factory | Fukuoka, Japan
Itoshima is a city on the northwest coast of Japan’s Kyushu Island. It’s known for Futamigaura Bay, where the sun sets over 2 rocky outcrops known as Meoto Iwa, or the Married Couple Rocks. The “singing” sands of Anego-no-hama Beach are southwest along the coast. To the east, archaeological finds are on display at the Itokoku History Museum. In the southern mountains, Shiraito Falls is surrounded by maple trees.
The further you get into Itoshima, the prettier the beaches become. Futamigaura is considered the sunset strip and is home to several excellent beachside cafes and a couple of surf shops where you can rent surfboards, bodyboards and standup paddleboards. Futamigaura is also home to Meoto Iwa, a pair of frequently photographed "husband and wife" rocks linked together by a rope.
Keya Beach is equally scenic, and there are several surf points between Keya Beach and Futamigaura Beach. The sunset at Nogita Beach is ranked in the top 100 sunsets in Japan and has several well-known cafes, including Hinode. This local favorite serves tacos topped with locally grown vegetables at reasonable prices.

      Hi! Thank you for watching my videos! With regards to your query, as mentioned in your other post, I personally found the bed in this hotel comfortable enough. It may not be the best but I had a good sleep and I didn't find the bed hard or difficult to sleep on. But yeah, it all boils down to one's personal preference too. Some may find the beds firm, but others may see them as good enough. Hope this information helps. :)

      Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, I think it is just a matter of personal preference. Some may see the beds as firm but others may find them comfortable enough. Based from my own experiences in several APA hotels across Japan, the beds are comfortable enough and comparable to beds of other business hotels. I also know a lot of friends (and family) who are regular guests of APA hotels and I have never heard of any complaints from them pertaining to the beds. So yeah, as I have said, I guess it is really just a matter of personal preference. I hope I was able to answer your query. Hi, so coincident I have booked this hotel for my next year stay in osaka. May I know is there any nearby exit with the elevator from train station? Coz need to carry luggages. Another question, isit able to put and open 28 inch luggages?

    • @wheretonext1190
      @wheretonext1190 3 дні тому

      Hi Carol! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your queries, Nankai Namba station is just a 3-min walk from the hotel. It is just almost diagonally across the hotel so you would have no problems in walking to the hotel even with luggages. You can take the Rapi:t Limited Express train from Kansai Airport to Nankai Namba station. There are elevators and escalators there so it would just be easy even with luggages. As for the rooms, the size of the room would depend on the type of room you have booked. It may be tight but I think you can still open a 28-inch luggage by the doorway. You just have to make some adjustments in your movements, like if the luggage is open, then naturally, you cannot use the door to go in and out of the room. You can also open your luggage with one side resting on the wall (L-shape) to save some floor space. I hope I was able to answer your queries and help you in my own small way. With regards to your query, I am not sure how much their monthly rate is, but I guess they should have discounted rates if you are going to stay for like a month or so. You may email them directly indicating the possible dates you plan to stay, as rates are also dependent on the dates/season. For easy reference, here is their email address: reservations.osaka@frasershospitality.com As for other serviced apartments, you may want to check Hotel Mystays, Mimaru Apartment Hotel or Citadines Namba Osaka, although I haven't tried staying in them yet. I kind of like your thorough presentation of the room, but I have a special interest🙂. Clearly a very high quality property, but the vibe (in the room) was perhaps a bit to clinical, it resembled a luxury businesshotel? And the blinds and curtains felt slightly clauatrofobic. Great bathroom with a healty spread of amenities. The Breakfast was truly impressive. Hope you enjoyed your stay👍.

If money was not a concern, I would have wanted to stay longer. I loved the room, the facilities, the breakfast, and the overall luxurious feel of the whole hotel. But yes, reading your comment, you are probably right too to a certain extent with regards to the vibe of the room. Or maybe it was the way I took the videos? @@wheretonext1190 I have stayed in many 5 Star hotels in Asia and elsewhere (and in a few not so good hotels as well🙂) The room is only one aspect of the experience. Hi again Anders! Yes, I definitely agree with you. More than the room itself, I actually find the kind of service offered by the hotel staff more important. Not that the quality of the room is secondary of course, but it really makes a lot of difference if you are treated well during your stay. The reviews on service and location have always been my top considerations. But yeah, thank you so much again for your very kind words. Hi Amirna! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your queries, hotel guests can use the microwave oven and iron for free. For the iron, you just need to return it back after using. As for the free drinks, there are plastic cups available which you can bring back to your room. For the breakfast, I am not really sure if it is Muslim friendly, but I am sure you can find dishes there that you can eat. Unfortunately though, I don't think the hotel allows using personal food containers for refills. I hope I was able to answer your queries. @wheretonext1190 11 днів тому

      Hi Tammy! Thank you for watching my video and for giving such positive feedback! I really appreciate it! With regards to your query, I did not use the hotel's luggage shipping system or Taqbin during our stay in this particular Sotetsu Fresa Inn hotel, but I have used it several times in other hotels and other Sotetsu Fresa Inns. Most hotels in Japan offer this kind of shipping service and so I am sure that this Sotetsu Fresa Inn Osaka-Namba has it as well. You just need to email both the originating hotel and the receiving hotel to confirm that they are able to ship/receive your luggage and that they will receive your payment as well when they ship. This is so because I had one experience where the hotel was willing to ship my luggage but they don't receive payments and so I had to make the payment via 7-11. Incidentally, most convenience stores like 7-11, Family Mart and Lawson can also ship luggages within Japan. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

But if you want, you can try and explain your case at the ticket counter and maybe, just maybe, they could allow you to have 2 bags stored under the bus, especially if the bus is not full. I have heard cases like that where they were kind enough to accommodate such requests, and so you might probably be able to do that as well. I hope I was able to answer your query. Hi Shawn! Nice to hear from you again! I hope you are doing well. And thank you for watching one of my videos again. With regards to your query, summer is actually a lean season when it comes to tourists visiting Japan, so hotel rates should ideally be slightly lower during summer. That being said though, and considering the drop of Japanese yen against USD, yes, hotel rates seem to be increasing. Gone are the days when you can easily find $70 rooms in good areas. I guess the demand plays a big factor too, with the recent influx of tourists. But yeah, if you are basing it on the value of USD these days vs JPY, things can still be really cheap in Japan.

      @wheretonext1190 18 днів тому

      Hi Axios! Nice to hear from you again! I hope you are doing well! Thank you for watching my video again and for giving such positive feedback! With regards to finding an $82 room, I remember staying there on a Monday night which is probably why the rate was slightly cheaper. As you know, room rates really vary depending on the day you are staying. Weekend rates can be very expensive, sometimes even more than double the normal rate. Reading your comment, I tried to randomly check the room rates of this hotel via Agoda and I found $85 rooms for 30-31July and 5-6Aug. For 14-15Aug, I found an $89 room. I guess it pretty much depends on luck as well, wishing that your travel dates fall on weekdays with lower rates. It also helps to book way ahead while rates are still relatively low and just choose one with a free cancellation option so that you can just easily cancel if and when you find a better option. Hope this helps Axios! Thanks again! :)

      Hi Linda! Thank you for watching my video and for appreciating my work! I am happy to know that my video is helping you plan your trip to Tokyo. With regards to your query, for Japanese onsens or hot springs, you cannot actually wear anything. Japanese onsens are enjoyed naked. Swimsuits or underwear are not allowed. There are separate facilities for men and women if this helps. They also have lockers to store your clothes. If you feel conscious, especially for first-timers, you may cover yourself with the small onsen towel provided, before entering the water. Just place the small towel nearby so that when you get out of the water, you can still cover yourself if you still feel conscious. I hope I was able to answer your query. However, if your final destination is another area in Shinjuku, you can still take the limousine bus which runs up to 10:55pm. Here is the link of the timetable for your easy reference. Whats that thing about no tattoos in the spa?

    • @wheretonext1190
      @wheretonext1190 22 дні тому

      Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, most onsens or public baths in Japan do now allow people with tattoos. The Japanese taboo toward tattoos stems from their association with members of Japanese organized crime. Gangsters in Japan are typically heavily tattooed and so this is the reason why the Japanese, mostly the older ones, do not want to be "associated" with tattooed guests. But in the recent years, more and more public baths are already allowing tattooed guests to use their onsen. For those with smaller tattoos, some even cover them with bandage strips so as not to attract attention. But yes, if you have bigger tattoos and want to use the public baths, you can just probably search for public baths or private hotels which allow tattooed guests. Or better yet, if you have the extra budget, there are also hotel rooms and Japanese inns (ryokan) with private hot spring baths. I hope I was able to answer your query. I stayed at a couple of APA hotels on my first trip to Japan. I knew they were going to be small, but it's hard to imagine how small until you are in the room. The bathroom is as tight as an airplane lavatory. Since then, I pay a few more dollars to stay in a larger, more upscale room. Like most hotels in Japan, the rooms are clean, quiet, and safe so if you're not claustrophobic and on a budget, then you may find this chain acceptable. The Gracery Hotel, in the background walking on the street in the beginning at 1:30, is the tall building with blue horizontal lighting, and the Godzilla statue on the 8th floor is much more upscale. The bed area is fairly small, but the bathrooms are very spacious which makes the room seem a lot larger. The location is really nice, in the heart of Kabukicho, just steps from the food court and entertainment areas at the new Kabuchiko Tower which is very new, the Toho movie theaters on the first few floors of the Gracery Hotel building, and too many restaurants to count.

Yes, I agree with you. Most rooms in budget business hotels in Japan are really small where even opening a big luggage would be a challenge. But yeah, as you said, it is still a good option for those travelling on a budget. The location is really nice especially if you want to be in the center of Shinjuku's happening place. There are a lot of food options and many shops to explore too. And as you said, there are other hotel options in the area which are more spacious and would be suited for travellers who have a bigger budget. Hi Jean! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, we were at Shibuya Sky then a bit early, I think around 3pm, because that was the only time slot available closest to the sunset, when we booked our tickets. Usually, people want to be there before sunset to see the beautiful Tokyo skyline in the evening. Tickets for those time slots are the first to be sold out though, and so if you also want to see the sunset and want to come late afternoon, you need to book your tickets online much, much earlier. Otherwise, you can also book an earlier slot like what we did, when there were also less people still, and then just wait there until sunset, when more people begin to arrive. Hi Sheela! Thank you for watching my video and for appreciating my work! With regards to your query, it actually depends on your itinerary in Tokyo and which tourist spots you plan to visit. Personally, I would want my hotel to be in the area where I plan to visit the most tourist spots. That way, I can maximize the 3-4 days I have in Tokyo. But if you really have to stay in the Tokyo Bay area, of course it is still ok with the efficient train and bus systems of Tokyo. Just be aware that travel time from the Tokyo Bay area to the usual Tokyo tourist spots may take about an hour or more, depending on where you want to go. In a sense, that would take a bit of time from your 3-4 days, which could translate to lesser time to see the tourist spots. In any case, I am sure it would still work out if you have planned your itinerary well. I hope I was able to answer your query and help you in my own small way.
