bike looks sick yello or grey booth, Great tut on that star nut ! thanks
Closed trail but she has a dog off leash and she's on the trail
@@devinpena10 yeah, she was unhappy in life😜
OMG‼️ UA-cam, Enough with the commercials‼️
Your body position is quite off and as a result, your trajectory is off... Try to squat into the travel before the jump to maximize leverage. When going off the lip your weight is just central, it should be leaned back more and when you are the apex start leaning forwards, instead you're sort of doing a drop motion.
Honest advice - You're not using the lip. You should be pushing into the lip all the way through your back wheel, but as soon as your front tire leaves the lip, you're giving up on the jump. Essentially, you're doing an "English" style bunny hop instead of "American" style. Skills with Phil has a great video on the difference. If you focus more on the jump technique, you will notice that the lip does a lot of the work for you, and you can clear the jump with much less speed. If you watch the video in slow mo, you'll notice that you are completely decompressing before even hitting the lip, when you should be compressed throughout the lip, exploding upwards as your back tire leaves it. Sorry for the paragraph, but keep up the hard work and you'll be there in no time man!
No worries on the “paragraph” I appreciate it👍🏻That’s exactly the kind of feedback I need. Thank you for your time and pointers. I’ll definitely check out the Skills with Phil video, I watch him but don’t recall that specific one. Thank You

I learned how to mountain bike on bikes in the 90 that explicitly said not to jump them. I can’t get the hand of it either
Chicks dig scars
Absolutely legend worked for me
@@hasanals6156 nice👍🏻
Your legs are bent when going off the jump. They should be extended and pushing down into the jump.
Your acting like your going off a drop, pulling your body back instead of your bike ip
Thanks. I need all the pointers 👍🏻
You got too much travel on that bike for that jump
You know what, I was thinking that too. Going to take my ebike and try it. See the difference if any
Got that stink bug look 😂
Crouching Tiger😉
Any pointers? Love to hear them. Comment below. 🤙🏻
That's crazy work, love it 🙌 That thing's a beast
I'm surprised 67 was the trailhead recommendation for your weight. For my weight (175), it recommends 85-95 for my Lyrik (which is only 35mm stanchions - maybe that's why).
Yeah this fork is not on the system for some reason…
Even budget forks have come a long way. Sag sets your ride height. Compression adjustment would give you the same effect of the support in corners if it is sensitive enough. Now that you've got the feel, you'll be able to feel the difference in the compression and rebound (usually work in concert) as well as be able to adjust for different tire pressure settings. I was running my Lyrik the same as you - maybe used one or two compression off and on. You'll know if the rebound is off as it will feel vague if too slow and bounce all over if too fast - I pumped my fork up to 85-90 ( from 80) and had to click rebound down two - felt great. Nice video.
@@user-vf7gp1hr9c thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it. I will definitely keep messing with it to get it just right.
Good place for testing is Rocky Peak Trail (the doubletrack at Simi Valley) - You can get nice speed on the downhill and let the suspension work and it will let you know right away whether your rebound is good or not - it let's you go for extended periods and really feel what's going on. Need to be in the ballpark on the sag of course.
I got a trek rail... 5
Then don't go out there: Problem Solved🔥👈🤣
Not a problem for us uk mtb guys 😂 angry badgers is about as bad as it gets and they’re nocturnal
I just changed my riser from 35 rise with 800mm wide now it's 90 rise with 720 wide and I feel super comfortable like riding a BMX. Like my old bar is making me lazy because it hurts my back and my nuts cramps when riding too long because my reach is quite short LOL. Now with new one like yeah, I'm loving it. Like I can ride all day!
@@glennhuinda9783 nice Dude! Love to hear reports like this. I don’t understand the “flat bars” unless you are 100% into climbing and wanting to keep the front end down…but eventually you want to get rewarded and come down! That’s where my head is at! 🤘🏻
Nice video! Actually you raised the bars 12 mm up because it went from -6 to +6 mm.
@@pacoperez2780 I guess😆I’m not good at numbers but thank you for computing that! Yeah, I’ve discovered the more the rise…the more comfortable the ride
How tall are you? Do you know the reach of this bike?
470mm reach as this was a 2017 Specialized Enduro XL and I’m 6’ 1”. Also as a side note, bike always felt a little on the smaller side for being an XL. But the shorter stem length didn’t really affect the feeling negatively
They usually will leave ya alone since yu AND a mtn bike isn't small.
Is this actually true wild cats attack bikers ?
@@jamieink6976 oh yeah for sure
@SimplePleasuresMTB .....blimey that's crazy lol .....glad I'm in the UK.......only domestic cats here lol 😆
I want to get a 7050 aluminum Thomson 20mm or maybe their 35mm rise bars (💰175.00🍁). Or maybe a pair of 7075 T73 aluminum 25mm riser bars from Deity; they're only about 💰145.00🍁🤙🤙
@@glen3509 yeah, good bars cost some money. I have on my Trek Rail some Renthal Carbon 40mm risers that are 800mm wide. They were a little more difficult to find in those dimensions and it were close to $200🫨 Thank you for watching and commenting 🤙🏻
@@SimplePleasuresMTB Thomson's 3/2.5 Titanium riser bars are well over 💰💰500.00🍁; maybe close to 💰💰600.00🍁. I saw them on Amazon for over 💰💰700.00🍁 🤨
It looks like if you want Thomson's Titanium risers, you have to order directly from Thomson🤙🤙
Once again Joe Rogan is spewing factless bullshit. Nobody gets killed by mountain lions. A quick google search says there's been over 130 encounters and 28 fatalities in the last 100 YEARS. Probably children, women, and really unluckily struck men
Agree , I’ve worked in the Los Padres Forest for years and seen 3 mountain lions
that's one sick build of an emtb...+1 subs
@@nicholaschai4458 Thank You Very much! I appreciate that. This bike was one heck of a platform to build from being the first of its run (and only run from Sondors) too bad the company went away.
@SimplePleasuresMTB hey,I'm currently riding a cube attention SLX,with 750w mid drive motor , nothing fancy but it comes stock with Rockshox Judy,so do you think swapping to the Domain is an upgrade?
The gram counters should love these knock offs. As long as they work I don't see the point of paying twice as much.
@@patmarlin2935 gram counters😁love it
Love my Trek Rail 🎉
No. Good god
@matthewcurtis4083 just for backup…got as a gift.
Cool edit, I just can't have any wireless stuff on my bikes. I have had too much bad luck with batteries in my life. Wireless dropper would be the sweetest.
@@hammertime7740I got this bike with all the goods, otherwise I could never afford them. Thanks for watching
I personally think its more fun to have space.....can ride faster with better vision of the trail. Love that trail in Sycamore Canyon :)

Has anyone thought about taking a bluetooth meat thermometer and using it somehow to check motor , controller, battery temperature? 😮
@@dennisd7451 I used to have a stick on thermometer on my other ebike motor. It never got hot enough to register any high temperature past 80* or whatever the normal temperature was. Here’s a link www.denniskirk.com/factory-effex/temperature-stickers-08-90225.p528282.prd/528282.sku
Do you have an update? Is it still working with no error code?
I removed the speed de-restrictor and no more issues. I’m thinking it’ll that was the problem.
Where is this ? VRP?
