I met up with Chad from @SquarebodyStuff and we visited a salvage yard that’s very local to Chad. The yard is John’s Salvage in Cabool, Missouri There are cars from just about every decade here, and Chad and I had a great time exploring what’s been super close to both of us this entire time!

Addressing Oil Leaks and Doing Some Tuning on the Daily, my 78 K15 with @SquarebodyStuff
Переглядів 3509 місяців тому
Time for some long overdue maintenance on my daily driver K15. I tear the top half of the engine down to get a few leaks taken care of, and then call in the reinforcements, AKA Chad from @SquarebodyStuff, to help with getting it back in time and tuning the carb, even though, let’s face it, Chad did all the work. Big thanks again, Chad!

Nice n clean
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Great video! I am starting a restoration on an 82 Monte, looking forward to seeing more of your content!
Thanks for watching! I hope you find the video helpful.
Would be great to actually see how to do it instead of watching the back of your sweatshirt for five minutes
What happened to the cutlass?
It’s still around, just haven’t worked on it much in the last several months.
@ we need the cutlass updates
Thanks man! I have a 74 that I know nothing about so it's good to get info on this stuff. Appreciate it buddy. Cheers!
No problem at all! Thanks for watching! If you want a lot more information than what my channel has to offer, hop over to the @squarebodystuff channel. He’s got your fix for sure!
Where did you get the weatherstripping?
It’s been long enough now that I don’t remember for certain, but I believe it came from www.thepartsplaceinc.com
eBay also has them for a real good price. Just bought a whole set for 119.00
cant a guy get a FREE 2 INCH LOWER by just relocating front spring perches higher? or even removing them and swapping them from side to side n turning them upside down like the new perches?
Thanks for the perfect video I was looking for💯
Thanks for watching!
U made it look easy
Thank you so much for this video! I have a g body 85mcss and this helps!
No problem! I’m happy that I was able to help.
Hey, Where in Mo are you? I grew up in Central Missouri, I'm in Myrtle Beach now. I just bought a 75 F100 Drove down to Jacksonville to get it, I'm doing a 4" drop in the back and a 2" in the front. I'm doing it the easy way though, I'm doing a frame off build on mine, the bed was shot so since the bed was off I took the cab and front clip off too. I wasn't intending to do all that but it needed to be done.
Nice job replacing ur starter. 👍 Not too difficult of a job, just a little heavy when you're trying to hold it in place and get the bolt started.
I won't know who to vote for until I hear from Alec Baldwin... I hear he's a straight shooter.
My LM7 has 214k miles and prolly needs to be torn down and gone thru
Yeah, this one ended up in much better shape than I expected.
Nice work
Thank ya sir!
Awesome video!
Thank you. I appreciate it!
Sure let it rip
Sure show us what you do
Describe, I'm really struggling with my. Appreciate it weather stripping on my El Camino. Had a shop installed and I don't think they put it in right. Think the windows sit on the outside of the seals and I cannot get them adjust it out
More videos. From there😂
You ever heard of double wrenching? Probably save a lot of time waiting on chemicals to work (that will not) and trying to use air tools if you would learn that. Also, if the nut is accessible, you don't turn the bolt, you loosen the nut, then if you still want to you use the power tool. Save yourself some heartache learning that lesson.
Any links to where you got your parts from
I believe most everything we’ve done came from www.thepartsplaceinc.com
Can you tell us where this place is, and if they still sell parts or projects??
This is John’s Auto Salvage in Cabool, MO. They do still sell parts, and there’s several cars out there that could be built.
To much walking and showing the road and trees we want to see cars.
Hate that you see it that way, thanks for watching.
Nice job on this video… makes me want to go check it out.
Thanks, it’s definitely worth the trip out there!
Cool
There is definitely a lot of cool to take in out there
way to much footage of my backside!!!
Oh wow, didn’t notice until now. Someone needs to tag whatever Jean company that is 😂😂
B5 blue on the last demon
Or petty blue some called it
Good to know. I sure do appreciate you watching!
What shackles did you use? Beautiful truck!
They were just the cheap shackles from off the shelf at O’reilly. P/N 13-4100. Thanks for watching!
@@bustedgrillegarage Thanks!
pretty stoked i found your vid, Ima about to install the exact same one you got on a 79 k10 i got. easy to hear, easy to follow. big thanks bruthur
Man that’s good to hear, I appreciate it!
buy one of those 55 gallon drum wood stoves lol looks cold in there
It was just a bit chilly 😂
All that plastic stuff gets brittle with age.
Sure does. It’s bound to happen at some point.
Oh man, now you made a clean spot. 😀🤣😎😎
Those dang clean spots. They stand out around here!
Wouldn’t it be great if most projects on our vehicles were the easier ones like that !!! Mine usually involve dumping oil of somekind all over and now that it’s winter, back to busted frozen knuckles again. 🤬 lol Nice job on the grill. Looks good 👍
Thanks, I appreciate it!
We all want a nice looking grill! 😬
True story!
Hey bud where did you get the weather stop?
I don’t remember off the top of my head, but most everything else we got for the car came from the parts place inc., so I would imagine the weatherstripping did, too
So da weather strip glue is just an option?
It’s a good idea to use it to hold the ends in place.
It was rippin that day !! Sounded great !!!
I did all this now my doors have a hard time closing
Because now you have thicker weatherstripping compared to the smashed out worn original. They will press in and contour to the window in due time.
Me too
I was more than happy to help out. I appreciate you letting me come over and play in the shop.
Any time! And thanks again.
I've had similar issues before, glad it's running good!
Thanks
Right on! Took care of some CAR WARS. 👍
Thanks! It seems like a constant battle.
Do you still have cutlass?
Cool video
Thanks
That was a fun video😅 i seen your parts store shackle set and realized did i brain fart ? When i bought the DJM shackle set for $ 98.00. I didnt even think about looking for a cheaper set 😮oh well i enjoyed the video .
Thank you, I appreciate it!
All the sbc guys hating you right now for putting money into a 305. But I respect it. It’s something different. Sure, it doesn’t have the headroom for power that a 350 has, but you are showing that with enough money and time you can make any engine make power, regardless of whether it’s cost effective.
Exactly. I completely agree!
When you se the numbers ,you ll see the point
Nice & Ratty, love it brother!
Thank you sir! I appreciate it!
Kroil > PB. Just sayin.
I agree. Haven’t had too much luck with PB recently.
Beautiful Car
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Good stuff buddy
Thanks, man. I appreciate it.
