*THANK YOU* JL for uploading all of the extended versions of *Riverdance 1995* , *Riverdance: A Journey* , and *Riverdance: From New Your City* I had them all downloaded but it was years and years ago. They were short and edited and compressed horribly. I was so excited to find your uploaded versions. I've watched two of them twice. A Journey about four times. I just can't get enough. I'll have to give it a rest now, I think. I go to bed and wake up singing songs from the show. And usually hum something all day long. But I know where to find them now when I need another Riverdance fix. Thank you. ❤❤

This is not the same version there's some that weren't on my vhs type on this one

What I love the most about this, is that they had to search the world to find the few Irish dancers that were left, as the dance was dying out. So a lot of these people are just regular people, with regular jobs, who was taught the dance as kids and who were then asked to be part of the cast.

I am so proud the Irish had figured out a way to dance and hold a pint at the same time. If you are having a pint and someone asks you to dance, because you are only moving your legs, you can enjoy your pint and enjoy dancing as well.

Along with great talent and showmanship, Flatley has a lot of ego. That's what got him to the top. I fell in love with Irish Dance because of Butler and Flatley. But Flatley does have that reputation of being a bit self-involved. Dunne was a spectacular dancer, he just didn't love the spotlight like Flatley. That said, both did an amazing amount to promote Irish Dance and both are still fun to watch on video.

The absolutely stunning Riverdance concert. The best ever! I have bought the tape long time ago (there were never DVD's because of the quarrel between Michael Flatley and Riverdance). The inimaginable beauty resides in the combination of specific style of dances and the Irish one. I have tears in my eyes the entire concert, and I can barely breathe!

Nothing has quit captured me like the live music during this show - so grateful of the incredible quality I get to enjoy over and over again!

Ok, having just watched the Flatley show from 1995 (emphasis on the 'Flat') and then this (for the sixteenth time since it came out, I think, I can safely say, without the shadow of a doubt, that this is the surperior one. There's more dancing, Jean gets to shine more, she smiles more, and literally everyone is having SO much more fun. Colin doesn't make sure the show is mostly about him, but let's other dancers take center stage. There's more singing (Katie and Morgan will forever be the most precious thing I have ever seen, ever), more music, and there's symbolism and there's bowing to the Sun, there's just SO MUCH MORE and oh, sweet gods, it's just SO MUCH BETTER. Even the audience is more enthustastic for Jean and Colin, and I am sitting here, loving every second of it.

I was 6 years old when this came out in the 90's I'm 36 now I still love all this music all these years later and yes I still have a huge crush on Jean Butler 😂

I used too read and play this too my two sons when they were little . They loved this story . And me being half Cornish. It still brings tears too my eyes now all these later .

They compiled artists that are as musicians go is on another level, and it took a great show and turned it into an awesome once-in-a-lifetime event

I remember my sister calling me one day and telling me to turn the TV on to our local PBS station, where this video was playing. Wow...just wow. I was blown away. We were fortunate enough to be able to see "Riverdance" when it came to Atlanta in 1998. By then Michael Flatley and Jean Butler had left the show and were replaced by Colin Dunne and Eileen Martin as the principal dancers. Absolutely fantastic show.

I read the original book to my son when he was a child (he's in his thirties now!) and we also watched this film back then, too... it was wonderful to watch it again, here. Thank you for making it possible for me to relive those happy memories.

This takes me back to my daughters first Christmas 31 years ago. She had a nasty cold so she and I stayed home on Christmas Eve when the family gathered at grandmas. I rocked her and watched this program. The best Christmas Eve ever.

Flatfootedly is making this a parody of Colin Dunn. It's everything from the waist above and also this general imprecision about him. I watched the 1996 classic first (and always) and it's impossible not to compare every other version with that one. (Though everyone else in this 1995 recording is great.)

This stunning, beautifully written/illustrated/told story has been part of my life for around 30 years. Having just watched a video relating the death of a young family man, lost attempting to cross the Tasman sea in a canoe, I was minded of Tom’s words to Mouser. It should be he who should go out fishing, not a young man with a wife and young children. Would that he had heeded such a message.

Irish dancing was outlawed by the British during the Penal Days. This is what creating the step dancing you see today in Riverdance.
