>when I see people commenting they're still in the closet I want to give them a big hug I have the same reaction to people on coming out videos, especially when they get emotional or talk about some sad past experience. I've been binge-watching coming out videos for like the past couple of weeks and there are just so many interesting stories (thanks for telling yours, btw) and so many wonderful people telling them that I just want to hug you all. xD You know... it's kinda ironic that during my teenage years (~15 years ago) I sort of had easier time with self-acceptance than a lot of people on the videos I've watched (mostly US/UK/Canada) even though I live in this very homophobic country called Russia. Like, I was bullied in school (for being a quiet nerd) but not much and I don't think anyone really thought I was gay. I don't think I've heard any homophobic jokes, instead my classmates expressed their homopobia in rather funny way: they liked messing with each other by sneakily approaching each other from behind and pretending like they perform... you know. Which was just ridiculous to watch rather than offensive. F-slurs were used in speech pretty frequently though. Then in high school I had those strange occasional "encounters" with 3 guys who were older than me (I was in 9th grade, they were in 11th), who... I don't even know how they noticed me or why the decided to pick on me, but they teased me with "gay" remarks from time to tome. Like "hey, why so sad, did your boyfriend break up with you?", but nothing serious/physical. At some point a girl I was friends with who heard it told me "[leo], it's almost like they're hitting on you" lmao. I've always been an atheist (like my mother) and non-conformist so I kinda just skipped the entire "acceptance" stage. Pretty much the moment I realized I'm attracted to guys (it was when I was 12 or so), I was like "Welp, crap, I'm gay". I never had those "I have to change [because parents/society/hell/etc.]"/"It's not who I am" thoughts. I just admitted it as yet another fact on the long "why I don't fit in" list. I never had any actually close friends so I never needed to come out to this particular group (lifehack! lol) and never feared someone would stop being my friend. I didn't have siblings, didn't have dad, didn't have any important/close enough relatives, aside from my mom, who needed to know about me. And my mom took it well, I told her when I was ~14 (and there was no crying and only like 5-second hesitation before "I'm gay" words). The only thing that tormented me for many years was an enormous crush I had on one of my university teachers who was a perfect human being and my type in every way but for multiple reasons I never dared to do anything about it. And other than that, I never felt like dating anyone at that time and just enjoyed gay films and video games like Mass Effect (Kaidan uwu) instead. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your story. I will never be a doctor or surgion because you will have to spend almost a decade of school just to legally be called a doctor. But it's good you're almost finished with your goal. Also your screen name sounds familiar so I looked up all your previous videos. Yes I do remember you have previous videos of your music, but I also am sure you had a really old video(might have been your first video?) where you talked about your coming out expereince. I don't see it there anymore. I hope you didn't take it down because your parents told you too. Or did you take the video down because it's the only way your parents will pay for your education??

Hi Carlos, I wanted to reach out to you. I watched your coming out video and the two year update. I saw the look in your eyes as you were making your video. It looked like you were in a lot of emotional pain. I am glad that you did not commit suicide. I dont know you but you have to know you make the world a better place by being here. I know the videos were a long time ago, but I wanted to see if everything turned out okay for you. I have also dealt with being gay and hiding it all my life except for a couple of people who I told. You strike me as being a really descent guy, I know first hand living with the fear of other people finding out and the risk of them turning on you. It struck a chord when you mentioned that straight people right away may think of you as a pedophile. Im older than you are and my generation does not accept it as easily as your generation does. It definitely is a curse, but we were born this way and as you know it is not a choice. I hope to hear a reply from you, but I understand if you stopped checking your channel. There's nothing wrong with getting angry at homophobic people. It's healthy in fact. I came out at 18 in 1974. We were always angry then. I wish that hadn't been necessary, but we had it rough in those days. I'm glad it wasn't that way for you and younger Gay people. But when the situation calls for it, you should stand. That's what it means to stand. You'll feel better about yourself, and antigay folks need to be confronted. Lastly, thank you for making this video. It will help lots of people.

What you needed in that office was a big, long, close hug. Sadly, that's not seen as professional, but the nature of the human/ Great Ape type beast is that (and a lot of the animal kingdom,) is physical contact- affection. We have so much good chemical compound release that heals the body and the mind through this physical contact. In peak anxiety/ stress and trauma, one needs that physical warm, kindly touch. Hugs.
