31:30 variables must be defined in the class the program is ran in. defining them in helping classes such as util will not work you can place variables in your main tho or within the function that is using them
Another great video really and intresting to know that you can just make a callback like that
Can I ask what education do you have to be able to do this? How much experience do you have to be able to do this all by your self? This is just insane to me 🤩 Great work
Learning how to debug is a very important lesson so i think this is great because this is how it goes in coding you run into problems and then have to find solutions to fix them.
That's exactly that XD
Very nice information once again the doorlock info was very interesting
Thank you thank you. I agree it's quite interesting, would like to dive a bit deeper into doorlock sometime.
appreciate you posting these videos 💚 also what are you using for your project board?
Eyy it's nothing, you're welcome. For the board I'm using Obsidian.
Nice vid and I had a question, is it better qbcore or esx to build a server and the scripts? and also wouldn't be more easy if the tittle of the videos are the main thing you are doing? I got confused trying you search for when you made the minigame.
Thanks for the feedback and kind words I appreciate that! Noted, and from now on I'll make an effort to do just that and provide some more info in the titles and possibly the descriptions. In an honest opinion, I believe both have their strengths and weaknesses, so when it really comes down to it it's purely personal preference. The biggest difference between the two is that ESX depends on databases whereas QB-core and alike mostly rely on tables within LUA itself. Therefore, if you prefer databases over the table setup then ESX is for you. On the scripting side, I can't tell you which core is better and to me they both seem equally simple and complex because at the end of the day they all rely on functions to execute certain tasks and give certain results and it's up to you as scripter to utilise that. My opinion is however that QB is more malleable and allows more freedom regarding scripting and features which I prefer both as server manager and scripter. Thanks for the question, you really made me think and right now I'm actually really curios about it myself.
@@b0thatv Thanks for the response! i'm trying to built a server of my own
@@JkaynTV You are most welcome! That's pretty awesome, building your own server is quite the journey. What are your goals with it?
@@b0thatv Learn scripting and try to make a playable server
@@JkaynTV I dig it. Really plausible. If you have any question you're welcome to ask in the DC.
can you create ep about drug system creation
That is something I can look into. What features are you specifically trying to understand?
brother keep up we need you you are the best
I appreciate the kind words mate! Thanks a mil.
The glow minigames are great i also used them before in some scripts great video
This would be my first time using them. They do look awesome I'll admit. Thanks again!
The target almost worked right away that's nice great video once again
Thanks so much. Yea I was quite surprised XD, not always that easy.
Another great video do you have something where people can donate to you?
Thank you, I really appreciate that! Your support is worth more to me at the moment, you're already giving more than you think <3
@@b0thatv Your doing a amazing job showing how it really is when you coding we so i think thats amazing really
@@BansaGaming That's all I aim for really. It's something I enjoy and not something I do for donations :D. I'm stoked you find these videos helpful and worthwhile.
I think the final product of this script is going to be amazing even for a small MLO so much options to choose from
I think so too, it's quite exciting.
What is the name of the program you used to make the list of things done and things missing? (Nice vid by the way, i've been learning five m scripting and haven't a lot of tutorials or guides so this content is great)
Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you enjoy the content. That program is called Obsidian, it's a note making program.
@@b0thatv Thanks! hope to see more content
@@JkaynTV You're most welcome! Working on it every day.
Very nice tutorial quick and easy
Thank you!
i got a question how to convert this mlo who is ADD-ON to fivem working interior?
I will upload a quick tutorial later today to help with that :)
Uploading a quick how-to, you're welcome to view it at ua-cam.com/video/Qs_qhrOKiTY/v-deo.html
Thank you so much
@@nex_xxone7279 you're most welcome!
You are awesome please continue this tutorial😊
Wouldn't say I'm awesome, I do appreciate the compliment none the less thank you! I certainly will!
Making the functions more useable for all the items is amazing because you need a lot less code amazing video really
Thank you mate! For sure, being able to use a single function like that is a big part of optimization too.
the key E wont work it doesn't interact with the button and not detecting control just released debug. what should I be looking for to fix this? the sphere does detect me from all positions.
Hmmm, there are a few things I can think of. Would be much easier to assist if you could post a screenshot of your code in the discord, but here is what I think you can look at: 1. In this line [if IsControlJustReleased(0, Config.Ped.Key) then] make sure the number just after the "(" is a zero and that you have the correct button assignment where I have "Config.Ped.Key". Use docs.fivem.net/docs/game-references/controls/ to make sure you have right key and ENSURE that the value is an integer not a string. 2. The "IsControlJustReleased" native has to be run in a loop, so make sure it's within the function called "inside()" To debug, add a print() statement for when the key is pressed so you can see if it picks it up.
Its very helpfull this videos and its very chill i like it a lot thanks for all you do
I'm stoked that you find them useful, you are most welcome! And a big thanks to you too for your continued support!
I'm using VS code and i cant do count += 1 in the += it has a unknown symbol error I eve have the lua extension in VS code
@@g_omega4322 that was an error on my part. Use count = count + 1 The ‘+=‘ is an operator that works in C++, I believe in JS too but not in LUA hence your error. We did fix it in the following episode.
Great progress so far you really i should also put comments in the config what value does what but i'm never really sale my scripts.
@@BansaGaming of course, however the comments are both for customers and JUST as much for myself to remind me what each variable does. It’s good coding practice to use comments. I should actually comment more around functions and such. As always, thanks for the kind words🙏🏻
Another great video i will also download the MLO and try to build this just for fun.
@@BansaGaming it’s a great project. If you need any help with the MLO just give me a shout in the discord, the files are in a .rpf file when downloaded.
@@b0thatv Thank you will check it out.
Nice videos, pretty interesting if I was actually doing FiveM servers
It's quite an enjoyable process, might be worth a try. What is it you are doing other than FiveM servers?
Nice code helped me out
Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad I could help!
I really do like it that you explain many things what does what and the reason why i think its adding so much more value to a dev video another great one i still need to watch the other series but had less time and was curious about this one
Really glad you're enjoying it, the fact that you notice it means I'm on the right track. Thanks for the kind words. I totally get what you mean, I was so excited to start this series I couldn't wait until the other one was finished XD
This is looking like it will be a amazing script small MLO but lot's to do very nice choice
Thanks a milly. The concepts will be transferrable to other projects. I appreciate your kind words, will make sure it turns out amazing.
This one was complex working with ropes and bones can be something very intresting but can be hard
Interesting for sure, first time working with them so we'll see how it turns out in the end XD
I would love to be part of the community i think it will be amazing i'm already joined on the Discord
Really awesome mate! Glad to have your support.
Its really cool that the ox_lib has so many options also great menu's to work with
It's my first time using ox_lib's menu's but will admit the UI is quite pleasing and the functionality is fantastic.
way to go
Thank you mate. Getting close to the finisher, quite excited.
A way to check if the IsVehicleDamaged can also be done with the player_vihicles they have a body damage row there maybe you could use that to check if its broken or not and just let the target check from db for on that specific numberplate or something really enjoy watching the videos cant wait to see it in action
I appreciate that feedback thank you. Glad you're finding some worth in these. That is not a bad suggestion, however, one thing to keep in mind is that some function has to be called to set that value in the database and that would in most cases be the native to get the vehicle health. I know jim_mechanic has a function to get the vehicle properties similar to QBCore and those also have to use natives to get the vehicle health in order to send it wherever OR to update the DB. Great looking out though, that's a great mindset o have when coding it could lead to creative solutions.
Another great one i also started with a small project again after watching your video's
Thanks again for the kind words. That's awesome to hear, if you need any support the discord is there. Excited to see what you come up with.
This looks like a very cool script with ui and everything
Was a lot of fun exploring HTML and CSS for the UI, though a bit overkill but necessary if I am to implement the features I had planned.
@@b0thatv It's really fun i also did try abit of ui but need to get into more
@@BansaGaming It's quite fun true. Not too difficult but it has it's quirks.
This became pretty complex but great video and nice explanation about the client/server scope events i think many have problems with that when they learning
Hah lol yea it did . I think every script has a phase where everything seems detached and after a few more lines of code it's like pulling on your shoe laces where everything just comes together and makes sense. Glad you found it helpful. I make silly event mistakes every now and then 😅always learning.
here
Took me a while to understand the emoji XD ngl. But I got you now
This one was a big one ropes and so on can be so difficult to add and getting the prop to hold correctly in the hand can also be painfull and hard to do amazing video.
Facts. Props can be a pain, luckily not this time 😅. Appreciate the compliments!
Nice video it makes me really want to create custom scripts again because it's so fun really
Hell yea! Thank you. Go for it mate! It's really rewarding.
Great video with lot's of information i do code myself but there is always room to learn more what is most intresting is the thinking process and then the results that come after keep up the amazing work i also need to start to watch the serie from the start
That means a lot, thank you for those kid words. I'll be sure upkeep the standard!
Another great video its nice to see some database logic
Thanks for the awesome feedback!
Amazing video i love to logic thinking just cool to see
Awesome feedback, I really appreciate it thank you! Glad you enjoyed the content!
keep it up man good content
Thank you mate, I appreciate your feedback <3
yo bro can you do tutorials for ESX grave digging, robbery scripts
I can definitely look into that. Once this series is finished I have a tutorial series planned in which we can do exactly that.
Tutorial series starting today. First episode releasing in ~2hrs
