To be fair... This deck was the best deck in an open decklist tournament against primarily MTG players moonlighting as lorcana gamers for stream views. I main blue yellow, but this version of the deck will absolutely fold to early aggression and would not survive the field in a tournament with the size/scale of miami or other ppg level event.

Maybe show it versus other decks not two games vs the same colors.

Definitely showed why this deck is meta! The deck really bulldozed through the match. Quick question since rapunzel is such a staple for midrange amber-sapphire. Would you still play this color combo (or another) if you were using 0 copies of rapunzel, but still using Surfer stitch?

Wow, we have never seen this version of the deck played. Cris from our teams remembers just one game where the opponent was able to bring out the shifted Amber Hades. We may have to try this deck during our stream tonight. If you want to check it out, it will be from 8-10pm EST on Twitch.

No matter how many times i run top deck it NEVERRRR wins against anything. I go against sapphire steel and destroyes the entire deck quicker then i can build

No such thing as a budget deck in the competitive scene or even league play after a month of product being out there

Honestly, Steelsong has come along as the second biggest metadeck lately. Because it relies heavily on Ariel and Rapunzel, I might actually consider Poison Apple here, just to tech against that.

What happened to amber/emerald (aka Lemon/Lime Aggro)? Wasn't that considered 3rd best behind ruby/amethyst and amber/steel just a few weeks ago? Not having invested a ton in expensive singles, so just playing with what I have, my Lemon/Lime deck is the best I've managed to come up with. Just came in 3rd at a local store League tourney with it yesterday. Given how many of the key cards for the meta version of that deck I don't have, or only have one or two (Lilo, Kuzco, Genie on the Job, Rapunzel, Hans, etc), I'm kind of surprised by how well I can do with this thing. Steelsong is definitely my worst matchup with this deck, and it's becoming much more popular lately. I tend to win more often than not against ruby/amethyst, which is surprising to me.

Could you make a few common uncommon only decks?

I appreciate that this video is probably aimed at those totally unfamiliar with the meta (or seemingly perhaps even Lorcana altogether), but instead of just reading card effects (which hopefully the viewers are perfectly capable of doing themselves), it would be more beneficial to offer insight into why the card is ran, the role it plays in the deck, the matchups it's valuable in, etc. For example, when talking about Steelsong, your only comments on Hakuna Matata at 14:52 is that it "let's us remove up to 3 damage from each of our characters". In this case, the cardtext itself is practically irrelevant (as 99% of the time you will never use its effect) and it's simply ran as another *inkable* song for Ariel to hit. Or not mentioning that Beast and You Have Forgotten Me are key cards in the Amethyst/Ruby matchup. Or that another key use of baby Tink is having a low cost 4 willpower character that can take 3 damage early in the game for maximizing Rapunzel value, etc. Most of the other deck breakdowns are similarly devoid of insight and so the use of "DEEP DIVE" in the title seems rather generous. Indeed, I think this dive is so shallow it might struggle to drown a small rodent.

I've never played Lorcana, this is my first time hearing of its actually mechanics, but so far an Amythest and Amber seems like they'd match well. Being able to get cheap cards into your hand and onto the battlefield seems like an interesting game plan

8:46 Amethyst/Emerald is straight up a counter to Amethyst/Ruby. We keep stats at the official discord under this deck's discussion thread and we are well over a 90% winrate against them. They cannot keep up with responses, emerald cards will quest for lore. Keeping a timely kuzco after be prepared or bouncing aladdin with genie are key plays. 👍 Very good summary!

My brother got an enchanted giant fairy Tinkerbell card. I don't play that color but I was so jealous! Especially since I've been able to get my hands on probably two or three times as many boosters as he has and have yet to get an enchanted myself. Lucky him. It's a great card in play too.
