Lovely wee video, well done. 10 mins walk from my house ;)
Sadly that view is completely ruined by a sea of wind turbines
Waa in 1897 my nan was born here. Love to Imagine her
Great video, brought back so many happy memories of travelling up from London to Arbroath in the 1960's, travelling up on the overnight sleeper train, and across the Forth Bridge, with my parents to visit grandparents. loved walking on top of the harbour wall, the crates of fish from the fishing trawlers, the scary wind-swept wooden footbridge in the harbour, and I was later taken to my first ever football match at Gayfield Park. Still follow Arbroath's football results today. Up The Lichties!
beyond amazing, the train and the car thing at the end is genius. as a man from Arbroath, thank you !
Great footage
seaton woods was my schools cross country route :/ but nice to see it 40+ years later
Arbroath is a lovely fishing town on the North East Coast of Scotland but we have our bad points including lack of decent clothes shops and the amount of empty shop units on our high street witch was a busy town centre once other bad points about Arbroath is the lack of investment in our town and the lack of management from our local authority councillors who are supposed to manage our town they do nothing for the town like encouraging investment to the town to encourage more jobs to reduce the high unemployment in the town all they do is organise unsuccessful community events like the reason Karty Kapers event witch was organized by one of our local councillors. We have about five big parks 1 Victoria Park 2 Springfield Park 3 West Links Park 4 Inchcape Park 5 The War Memorial Park witch would be ideal venues for open air music festivals or other large open air events the largest of the parks is the Victoria Park but our local councillors don't let big open air music festivals happen in these parks when a good few years back the Victoria Park was a popular venue for the Angus Agriculture Show the Arbroath Highland Games and it once played host for the World Pipebands Championships and it also played host to the Arbroath Seafront spectacular but none of these events are held their anymore which attracted loads tourists to the town.
The only good thing is we have a great football team Arbroath FC
Only good thing in arbroath is the road leading to London!
Horrible camera work.
Nonsense
The place doesn't look like this anymore. The person employed by the owner has been on a mission of total destruction for almost two years. Broken Windows, collapsed ceilings, dismantled bathrooms ( copper pipes sold to top up his salary, trees with conservation orders cut down, statues stolen, buildings that belong to the hotel also vandalised. The place looks and is a real mess. When the golf club was in operation the grounds and even the main building looked clean and tidy. The owner Peter Liu put this place in the hands of a guy who doesn't give a toss about the place .The individual who is supposed to be in charge of keeping and maintaining the place has backfired. . The owner or owners are oblivious to what is going on. The man in charge of LOOKING AFTER this beautiful place has been telling people that he can shut the place down whenever he wants and has nothing to lose. Scary because some people have said that he seems mentally not right. This has made some people tthink that perhaps one of these days , not contempt with the massive destruction he and his friends has caused he, will finally burn the place down and walk away like nothing happened. It is worrying indeed to see such a beautiful place being destroyed by an employee and an owner who has placed his trust in someone who is reckless and irresponsible. Let's hope someone informs the the owner what has happened before is way too late.
LC flying four twos colours?
Could I use please use this footage for my channel, I will give you all credit of course, totally no offense taken if you decline
Absolutely, use and enjoy.
Being assigned to a lighthouse that was built on land was a gift. Many, like in the Florida Keys were build on the reef. Very restrictive for sure.
Not the lighthouse, that's the Signal Tower Station. The Bell Rock lighthouse is 13 miles out on the almost entirely covered Inchcape reef. It's the world's oldest free standing, seawashed, Lighthouse, in existence at over 200 years of age: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Rock_Lighthouse
My wonderful boys, so proud of you all.You all,are the envy of the whole world.
It is probably a good idea for the future to mention what part of the world this is in. Assuming everyone must already know is never a good idea.
The Bell Rock Lighthouse, Arbroath, Angus Scotland (See: ua-cam.com/video/YRDK2uyw3GU/v-deo.html ) The Bell Rock Lighthouse, off the coast of Angus, is the world’s oldest surviving sea-washed lighthouse. It was built between 1807 and 1810 by Robert Stevenson on the Bell Rock (also known as Inchcape) in the North Sea, 11 miles (18 km) east of the Firth of Tay. Standing 35 metres (115 ft) tall, its light is visible from 35 statute miles (56 km) inland. The lighthouse operated in tandem with a shore station, the Bell Rock Signal Tower, built in 1813 at the mouth of Arbroath harbour. Today this building houses the Signal Tower Museum, a visitor centre detailing the history of the lighthouse. Searched UA-cam and found this about a minute after reading your comment. Hope this helps everybody else.

Fantastic light house. Built so long ago too!
Does anyone remember a club called the manhatten think that's what it's name was went there at nights when I was a teenager mid to late 70s
It was the function suite of the Alma Bar (my local in the 70's and 80's) owned by Chic and Betty Mitchell and, latterly, by George Hall. Neither place exists now, they're offices of some kind. Still remember the look on George's face when I would go in and he would say "No Perty, you're not playin' "Every Breath You Take" all night on the bloody juke box again!". 🤣🤣. Sorry I don't recall you but it was a busy place back in the day!
