This feels good man!!!!!!! I love your stuff
How to Chart in 60 Seconds Charting is the one habit that has helped me become a better musician. Whether it’s a cover gig with 40 songs or a live album recording, charting will help you learn the music faster. I’d encourage you to figure out your own method however the standard is simple 1. Identify structure 2. Write out your parts If you don’t know how to write out parts, here is an example of other methods. Boom boom boom boom ka, is perfectly acceptable if you’ll understand what that means. “we will Rock You” or 👟👟🥁 👟👟🥁 Whatever will help you memorize parts I’d suggest doing that! If you have any questions drop a comment! Hope this helps! Choose Kindness™️
Having a groove partner playing that tasty helps, too. Sounded awesome!
It is very helpful! Haha
😮🤯 WOW!!! I just found this last night and I’ve been watching on repeat lol!!! Great job on this one!! Subscribed and liked keep em coming Sir!!!
Grateful for the kindness! It was a fun service!
That was 🔥
Appreciate you!
@ love you bro God bless you and the team
Thanks for the idea!! Really helps!!
Anytime! Hope you apply it soon!
There is always a good reason for a sub drop
Many many many facts!
Wow! I forgot all about this song haven’t heard it in years! Great job man!!
It’s been ages but thankfully our leader pulls them out of nowhere sometimes! Appreciate you
I so miss having a trigger for sub drops! It was my mission every service to find the “perfect” place for it.
There is always a perfect spot! Hope you get the trigger back!
What’s the name of the device for counting the intro
Ableton or multitracks
I wish I could do that lol
Me too 🙃
Bro😂😂
🤣
There’s always a reason…..😭😭😭😂😂
Couldn’t agree more!
Aw man! Perfect drop!
Appreciate you, felt right!
Those are some crazy thin cymbals
They were haha
I tried to slap this one in a couple of Sundays after seeing in on the backline channel, it did not work well at all. Awesome you guys could pull it off! Kudos.
I know that feeling! It works when you have some support within that song or groove, if not it falls flat 🥲
That's just a stupid person.
So sad they made the livestream private. This song gives me so much strength (especially this version) but this is the only way I get to enjoy it now :( love what you do!! love from the UK xx
I know! I was bummed when they took it down! Grateful for your kindness and appreciate you from ca!
Kim!!! Give her a hug from me!
I will! You still in Nash?
That’s some baby makin worship right there! And MD even talked low and slow. A true slow jam for JC!
He deserves it all! Even the baby makin music 🤣
@ 😂🙌
@cmcclarney 🙃🙃🙃
Playing with a click is a skill to learn in and of itself. Just make sure you can hear it.
Couldn’t agree more
Musicians who don’t know the value of playing to a click are poor musicians.
Great response and double meaning. Poor in their skill & poor financially in being a musician. Every paying gig I’ve had required a click
Dude has no idea what he’s talking about
Fully agree 🤣
That comment is nothing but trolling
BEAUTIFUL TRANSITION
Thank you so much!
When that happens 🥹🥹🥹 best feeling !!
Nothing like it! 🙌🏽
That 24 k light is a beasttttt🔥🔥
Such an amazing cymbal!
Pocket is tight bro !!!! 😳🔥
Grateful for you brother!!!
Been a church drummer my whole life. We never really had clicks but im thankful for it because now that i do have a click, even if its turned off like in here it doesn't bother me lol
Well said! Being able to do both is crucial and glad it comes easy for you since you’ve gone without it.
@chrisgarciadrums yesss everything has its pros and cons. I may have a lot of feel for music but when it comes to practice I'm slower on the learning then say someone that grew up learning with a click and music sheets Also the kick sounds immaculate btw
@lucidstudious750 totally understand you and learning by feel is so crucial! Thank you! They’ve done a great job with it!
Graves into gardens
Great answer
If I can't play it a click, I have to hum
I’m assuming hum the melody? Makes sense to me
Love this!! Any chance you have a list of your cymbals/equipment somewhere?
Thank you so much! I don’t have a list however this setup with a Ludwig 13” & 16” Toms with a 20x20 kick 8x14 black beauty Zildjian dark lite 16” HH, k con renaissance 22”, k con thin hammered 22”, heartbeat epic 21”
@@chrisgarciadrums BOOOM! Sounds like magic, my man. You're amazing. Your videos are a constant encouragement to me.
That drums on this song is🔥
@ashwinalexander7974 grateful for the kindness and humbled to be an encouragement! Keep striving!
@WhiteVX couldn’t agree more! Such an amazing song!
I play at church as a bassist you just glue a track to not get out of tempo there’s nothing wrong with it 😭
Thank you for what you do! Lock it in!
Nice work, brother Chris! Blessings, Adam
Grateful for you Adam!
@chrisgarciadrums I hadn't seen your content. So glad you appeared. Praise God
@777Noz me too! Grateful for you!
In what way is that preparing for worship? You are about to be leading people before the throne of a holy God. Play a favorite worship song, pray - prepare your heart.
Exactly man like that in the altar God will Humiliate you
Exactly man like that in the altar God will Humiliate you
Worship has everything to do with a heart posture not a ritual you do beforehand. If you live a life of worship, your heart will already be prepared. God is always with us and we have access to His throne room every moment. I respect your approach in how you honor God and I give Him everything, even this song
Why would He humiliate me when He is with me everywhere? That would mean He would humiliate me anytime I play a song that isn’t dedicated to Him, which doesn’t sound like an all loving and knowing God but more like a dictator. If you worship God in all things, it means in everything that you do hence why your heart continually needs to be cleaned.
Me leading praise and worship in a church can make me as much of a Christian as me standing in a garage, can make me a car. Just because people are leading others in praise and worship does not mean that they have the right heart posture. I’d be careful of making assumptions and passing judgement on people you don’t know, solely because of a 15 second clip. I personally love the fact that these are real humans that have a real love for their craft and that in all things, secular or not, they worship God.
LOVE IT!!
Appreciate you!
Usually we need to pause fade a bit and wait for the worship lead to queue us in by singing the first lines. 😂
I felt that haha!
That's Kim Walker? How did you get to be part of her band!?
It is her! Long story short, she would come sing once a month at my church and I’d play with her often since January of 21. Her normal drummer, Scott, couldn’t do some of her events so surprisingly she thought of me and I got to tour with her. Very grateful
@chrisgarciadrums that's SO cool! Congrats bro!
@flatbill2 thank you and very very very grateful!
Every musician uses a "click". I don't care how good your internal timing is. Use a metronome!
Fully agree!
While real drummers don’t NEED a click, it’s exactly what you said. They should be able to play with or without. To discount a drummer for playing with a click is like discounting a guitar player for making sure their guitar is in tune
Exactly what you said! Can you imagine the argument that guitarists aren’t real guitarists because they use a tuner 🤣🤣
😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂 As a bass player who works with about 2-3 drummers regularly.... this is 💯 accurate. The eye lock is crazy😂😂😂😂
🤣 best feeling out there! Keep up the good work!
When I hear people say _"real drummers don't need a click",_ all I hear is _"I don't respect the skill of playing to a click"_ which makes me think they don't actually know the difference between a drummer who can lock in to a click while still keeping it grooving & one who can't
Precisely, it speaks more to their lack of knowledge than the lack of skill. Great input
@@chrisgarciadrums much appreciated! I'm a bassist so I've been hearing the similar debate of _"real bassist don't use a pick"_ forever - like right, I guess you can go and tell Bobby Vega he's not one of the grooviest bassists around, then 😂
@jaycielle haha that is another debate that is so silly! That’s like a drummer using brushes or sticks with wood tips or nylon tips 🤣 people are just wild. Keep using a pick for that tone!
That means he was trying hard to follow tempo, that's what we learned in symphony. If you lose tempo lock eyes, they'll pronounce their swings more
Interesting
@chrisgarciadrums but we also rehearsed so much that our music could be played with muscle memory
I’m a fan of that much rehearsal 🙃 what instrument did you play?
@@chrisgarciadrums trombone/bass trombone. it was high school dont get me wrong, but we were fairly highly decorated. symphony, jazz and marching all got awards recognized by the state
@gnawnickvods939 that’s incredible, I was just curious. I like the phrase and appreciate you sharing
You did that a lot better than I could have!👏
I’m sure you would do it justice, appreciate the kindness!
That has to be the dumbest thing i’ve read all year
All drummers need a tempo to stand by. What an immature comment to make
Agreed!
😍
🥲
You would not know what a real drummer needs, due to the fact that you are not a real drummer. Please be quiet.
Real drummers play with a click! 100 percent agree with your statement all drummers need to know how to play with a click and without one
Facts! If you want certain gigs you have to be able to play with a click, plain a simple. Appreciate you!
WHEN YOU LOCK EYES!!! YOU JUST CANT HELP BUT SMILE!!!
Absolutely! It’s the best thing!
