The Ultimate Guide to Organize Your Life in 7 Days
This video is sponsored by Skillshare. The first 500 people to use my link skl.sh/kevz11241 will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare!
In this video I share how I organize my life using some of my mentors' advises and learning from my past mistakes. I was almost let go from my first consulting job 5 years ago during probation period. Fortunately, I organized my life just in time to improved my performance. It was a bumpy start but thanks to these productivity tricks I mentioned in this video, I was able to to kick off my career.
*PROMPT MENTIONED IN VIDEO*
I’ve completed a thorough brain dump, listing everything on my mind-work tasks, personal goals, worries, ideas, and more. I want to transform this chaotic stream of thoughts into a comprehensive, structured framework that provides clarity and actionable steps. Please help me by:
1. Organizing: Group my thoughts into clear, MECE categories (e.g., Work, Family, Health, etc.) to avoid overlap and ensure all areas of my life are covered.
2. Clarifying: Reframe vague or negative statements into concise, positively-worded action items.
3. Prioritizing: Rank all action items within each category based on their importance and urgency, with the most critical ones at the top.
4. Synthesizing: Identify the core themes or recurring patterns that emerge from my brain dump and provide a summary of what these say about my current priorities and challenges.
Please keep the response focused and actionable, avoiding unnecessary structure or repetition. Below is my brain dump text. Analyze it and provide a clear, prioritized response:

Evergrande crisis explained - why it became so indebted
Thanks for the practical tip! I often feel overwhelmed by work and these are some of the best advices I heard in a long time! 😃
If I understood correctly, English is not your native language. But it is very good and clear. Could you tell me how you learned English?
Haha thanks, and this is true story - Learnt it by playing world of warcraft, I was 17 and couldn't finish a proper sentence...and there it is a game I really wanted to play but not available in my mother tongue. So I started to hang out with this online english speaking community and learnt it faster than ever :D
That’s so cool. Spent days at my friends house playing WOW, Diablo and SC1. Best of times. 😂
lol yea...miss those old days when blizzard was actually good 😂
I've heard many stories of people learning English from games and comic books because they didn't have access to translations in their native language. However, limitations on resources are not always a bad thing, sometimes it helps to focus on what is available)
This is really informative! I think I will start the Day 1 today. I also really appreciate the subtitle, it's really helpful to me. Thank you so much!
Glad to hear it Valerie, Merry Christmas!

Same to you!😃
Finally an Apple Watch video which brings something useful instead of just repeating the feature sets. Great work, keep on
This edutainment is awesome! As a person who is looking for ways to increase my productivity (and not just watch productivity videos) this is a game changer. Thanks for sharing your process. I am sure that it will help me to lock in and become more focused over the next two weeks before we cross over into 2025. Additionally I am going to read Atomic Habits. It has been in my digital library for about two year. Finally I am going to share the concepts of the video with my secondary students. I think between Atomic Habits and these concepts I can help a few become more focused and move forward with productive digital lives. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stoping by and happy holidays!
Wait how do you make phone calls with your Apple Watch with 3rd party apps like WeChat or WhatsApp or Line chat?
For phone calls there's no first or third party support, you can pretty much only do text, voice and pictures... However if people really need to speak to me on the phone they have my number. I suppose the only corner case is someone calling me from other countries, which doesn't really happen all that much. But agree, it's a valid point all those message apps are not well supported on the watch. Cheers :)
Best Apple Watch video. Thanks
Some really interesting ideas, I have been wondering how to best use focus modes and this gave me a lot of great ideas
Now seriously considering an Apple Watch and will add those glasses to my work productivity ‘Wishlist’. Thank you for the vid
Hey Kevzwang, saw your job posting and emailed you, i don't think you've seen it though!
Yes, sorry somehow I got over 100 emails on the job posting, didn't have time go through all of them. I underestimate how many response I would get, I will try to find yours and reply to the email, thanks!
@kevzwang Sure, thanks a lot, I'm Josh Addison, so you'll find it easier.
Thanks for the great recommendation for Apple Watch! I’m ready to get 1 now! ❤
Thanks for the great recommendation for Apple Watch !❤
Excited to try these tips! Thanks!
Hey Kev, what app are you using to record your videos? It doesn’t seem like a Mike problem it’s either your interface or software
I record directly in final cut pro, interface = Focusrite scarlet solo Gen 4, room is not properly sound treated tho....I've been trying to figure out what's the issue. Might be my workflow, hardware / software all seems fine.
Great video. Learn new ideas about using my Apple Watch more and phone less
Whats your wrist size i have a small wrist 😅
same... the ultra looks huge on my wrist but still, I like the look of it :D
I went ahead and bought the new 46mm and it still looks awesome!
Great ideas on how to get the most of the Apple Watch
This video was so useful and thought provoking! I could also see you put alot of effort in researching on the topic. Great work!
Hi KevZ! This is my first KevZ video. Thank you! I was an early adopter of the Apple Watch, buying the first one. The Ultra 1 is my fourth Apple Watch. When I bought my first Apple Watch, I didn't wear glasses, and the size of the native Apple Watch workout numbers was fine. But now I wear glasses and those numbers are too small if I'm working out without wearing my glasses. I switched to the WorkOutdoors app. Besides the larger numbers, the app is phenomenal! I use four watch faces every day: one for sleeping, one for work, one for after work, and one for the evenings before bed. The Snoopy watch face is my evening before-bed watch face! Anyway, thanks for your ideas and comments on creative ways to use my Apple Watch!
Thanks Tony! ultra 1 works great and will probably last you a long time :D, not really a whole lot of update when it comes to ultra 2, glad to hear you have a similar set up, thanks for sharing :D
the question here is: Why should I use a 3rd app when there is actually the apple default one that does the same things? where is the advantages?
If it really does the exact same thing, sure go with the 1st party app, and the 3rd party one will surely die due to lower usage from people. But you will be surprised to see how many first party apps / functions haven't had proper developer support, based on my research the it's about 5% penetration rate. So... it depends, if first party app catches up, you are absolutely right go with the official version! Cheers :D
😮😮
I absolutely agree-I have found more uses for my Apple Watch that decrease my reliance on my iPhone. This video is excellent-thank you for the Shortcut!
I would love to win the giveaway!! 😎
So glad I came across your channel getting so much more out of my phone and watch 👍🏽
I love using focus modes to manage watch faces. It’s also useful for triggering automations.
Your set up does not work; can you please add also the shortcut for Road, Fitness and etc ?
It is very helpful as I was looking such video to learn more about Apple Watch and Focus mode is kind of wow feature I am learning with your help 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I feel like an important follow-up here is how to manager stakeholders in your time, because most people do not have full autonomy in how they allocate their time. You may feel a work stream is low priority, someone else may feel differently, and to safely limit blowback you need to manage their expectations
Very good info, glad I stumbled across your page.
Love your clear communication style. Thoughtful of you to provide the download for shortcuts setup. Bless you for your generosity to offer 2 sets of Viture glasses! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too!
I have Apple Watch Ultra 2
Great video
That’s a great and useful review. Keep up the good work and keep it going ! 👍🏻
You have convinced me to try out focus mode. also thanks for the code!
我也是Apple Watch的重度使用者,也一直在探索尚未被我發現好用的方式,今天看到您用捷徑切換不同模式,我覺得很棒,謝謝您的分享。
Nice channel found and hoping for a glass win!!!🎉
Good channel indeed!
Love the review..thanks
This video is super informative and has been a huge help for me in managing my daily family responsibilities while working away from home. I really appreciate the shortcut tip that I could easily use. Technology can sometimes be overwhelming, but it's awesome to have people like you who can simplify things for someone like me. Your video is fantastic, keep up the good work!
I would like to win the giveaway because the glasses would be a great opportunity for my son to use it as well as my self cause his diagnosed with ADHD and Autism and he would use it for a good reason since his really smart that it’s underwhelming for me and doing very well in school since his homeschooled for the same reason thank you for your hospitality love your channel as well.
@KevZ - Greetings from San Francisco! I just got my Ultra 2 and stumbled on your video. As a minimalist, I love, love, love the way you use shortcuts to set up the different focus functions.
great video! I love the action button being used to change between different watch faces for different settings. Genius
Love this!
Love this concept! Do you think a regular series Apple Watch would suffice, given battery etc.? Highly considering upgrading to AWU from my series 4!
One of the things NOBODY is talking about when using an Apple Watch as a minimalist/dumb phone is that it REQUIRES an iPhone for the initial setup and for some crucial apps like Shortcuts (which is used for automation). It looses a lot of value because it cannot be an independent Device but a complement (just like the rest of the Apple Devices) to other Apple devices and then you are trapped in their ecosystem
Very informative. Thanks for the video. I am now a subscriber 😃
