If you're looking for a used budget laptop right now, then the 2011 Lenovo ThinkPad T420 is an option that you should definitely check out. It still has good functionality and upgradability, and it can run Windows 10 or 11 as well. Decent enough for your day-to-day tasks, without any major issues.
The only thing I'd change about this laptop is the speaker setup, as it can be useless at times when it's noisy.

Check the date & time of your MXQ, I have that issue where it doesn't load anything using the internet when the date & time are not set-up properly
