Kia Soul Review - The Korean Mini?
Kia's Soul hatchback hoped to be a cool and trendy city car, an economical MPV, and a rival to the Nissan Juke all in one.
Its cool styling, impressive extras and tech, and ample interior space, should have made it a desirable car for the young and middle aged alike.
Instead it was lapped up by the elderly.
Join Tony as we explore the Kia’s style, performance and decide weather it’s the Korean hot hatch, or a taxi to the nursing home.

MK4 Ford Mondeo Review, Is It Still Worth Buying In 2024?
I remember driving home from work listening to the Johnny Walker show. (RIP Johnnie) Someone phoned in and they were talking cars. A Rover 75 was mentioned and Mr Walker called them an Old mans car which i have to say it upset me a little bit as thought them to be one of the best cars on the road at the time.... Such a classic design and full of opulence...
The 2.5ltr is not a Honda engine, it's a Rover's KV6.
Does it come with a free packet of werthers originals. Made for retired bank managers
It looks a bit more worse for wear etc since the last time I saw it:(
Is it still there?
The R75 was a beautiful be car in every respect, as usual the people at the top ruined everything through shear incompetence and the British car industry went down the toilet!.
Try going that on a 2005 S60. Front bumper needs to come off to change the bulbs
My Rover 75 V6 from 2001 never let me down Its a classic & now is the time to buy a mini 'Bentley Arnage' Id never swop it for a dull EV...
What if this guy is completely wrong...
Prices are rising... Cooper S R53 is a fantastic car. The sunroof is undesirable in a sports car (apparently it even reduces height).
Most beautiful car in history
I’m in 2024 now, but the video is 3 years old. Btw it’s totally worth it, but the titanium X or titanium x sport. Now all around 2 grand tops
Been toying with idea of getting a covertible even we live in rainy UK, looked ar Saab, Volvo, MX-5 and happt to have gotten '03 A4 3.0. The classic lines so reminescent of when I saw my uncle Rudy's sedan in 1977. I would never forget of its classic clean lines. It was worth taking a 4 hour train to collect my navy A4 this summer. It won't be my first A4 either. 🎉
Beautiful car ever love it
I absolutely love this car!
I'm looking at buying this exact model of Mondeo as my first car, is this model ok for parking and small country lanes etc ? Thanks.
After running a Jaguar XF which was basically a money pit, until it got written off. I bought a Ford Mondeo mk4 2.0 tdci Titanium for £2000 & it is absolutely excellent far more reliable than the Jaguar.
Where is it located at? Ill do everything to save it?
On my V50, one of my headlight units is going to need some buffing and maybe a bit of glueing in due time, but it’s such a relief knowing it is so easy to pull it out and work on it.
Any update?
I think its too far gone
@@CarSoulhow can I contact you please? Regards Mark
what engine does it have and what year was it produced?
What's always on my mind is the top gear video of Clarskon bashing on the FN2 for how bad it handles round corners, and that's always been putting me off from getting one 😂
Correct fn2 has beam rear suspension ep3 multi link rear suspension better handling
I've one, 10 years now, bullet proof ! Love it.....
0:17 And ones with poor eyes see a moving brick.
Does the FN2 rust as badly as the EP3?
No
2006 Cooper S has 168HP, the Park Lane variant has 172HP... Jeezuz man, get your damn info right!!
Dude, everything ok?
@@CarSoul I'm fine, YOU should really get your info down pat before you spout off crap and make yourself look stupid. So much wrong info in this video mate, do some research before you put a video together, it'll give you integrity if nothing else.
I had the 2.5 V6, 220 miles on a full tank and that was driving carefully.
Agreed! I have this car - and absolutely love it! I have the color, Dakar Beige. Hilarious! Say it out loud. I was running with one CD for a while then realized it said CD 1... hmm... OMG! 5 cds... wait... 6 cds! Yes. Sound great too - easy to manage. I don't mind the heated seats being down at the bottom... yes, little finger rolls to set my heat. It gives feedback on the setting though, so I do not need to look. I have driven manual my whole life. So it is nice to have the shifting still available. I use them a lot too gearing down, sometimes coming out of corners. Not sure I am supposed to... still researching that.
I have owned both the fn2 and Ep3. In my opinion the fn2 is too stiff with that solid rear beam but the fn2 is a more refined car with the nicer interior and cruse control.
Not the birds.
❤❤
Just brought a 2002 model with less than 70,000 miles, 2.4 V6, full leather interior and Bose 10 speaker sound system, best car I've ever owned and only payed £800 for it 😁😁
Ride is horrendously hard on the fn2
Prbably the most boring saloon to have ever existed. Drab dad waggon
All opinions are welcome here, no matter how wrong they are.
2004?
Indeed
Great video, run a zt190 as my daily. Not only because its the last mass produced British car but also because it still looks, goes and sounds great.
Couldn't agree more!
Much as I like the 75, it can hardly be described as Britain's last car
I beg to differ, if we’re talking about a mass produced car by a domestically owned brand, this was it!
@@CarSoul when the 75 was made Rover wasn't a domestically owned brand. It was German owned.
There your fav car brand cause you can change a car bulb easy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, that’s literally the premise of the whole clip.
buy mk3
Germanic but a fair opinion
And which Honda engine was fitted to the 75 ? You need to research properly as the KV6 was a Rover engine as was the 4 cylinder K Series
Read the comments, you’ll see many admissions that we got the research wrong here. Thanks for watching.
I still prefer driving my A4 2004 convertible to my newer BMW Z4.
They have aged extremely well
One of best cars ford ever made and produced. I've owned three mondeo's a mk1 to mk4. Now, a 2011 titanium x currently on 90k 20ltr tdci.
Ep3 is a fast bread van, fn2 was ahead of its time daily Spaceship the GT spec has cruise control hands-free phone Sat nav which still works good. Even speech control dual climate control, auto headlights and windscreen wipers And more importantly shift light for the lower rev VTec is grate fun
I think that generation of the civic set the precedent for car styling cues for cars in the 2010s and even today. It's a design from 2005 and still looks modern. A beautiful car.
my father had a '89 740 GL stationwagon when we lived in Gothenburg, later we moved to Croatia and we had to get rid of it in '97 eventually because of the foreign licence plates. He sold it to my fathers lawyer, he said he needed it when in the countryside, as a farmer. While he was inspecting the car he opened the hood to check the state of the engine in front of my dad. He asked my dad, how many kilometers has he done, he replied 500 000 km...oh so you have a new engine inside! My father replied: No!.....the buyer asked him "but how is it possible, the engine looks like new and no rust anywhere!?" well thats the 740 for you :)
People don't buy the Mondeo just because of its sheer size of it. It is a lengthy car and parking onbamy street can be a big problem. I am in search of a car and Mondeo was my top choice , since I find it at a very good price, but I will probably don't make the purchase just because of its length
Bought A 2.0TCDI 130HP as a winter car this week. It has 450 000km's, some surface rust and the DPF was clogged and it wasn't running like at all. S hammer and big chisel made it run fine and no engine light. Fabric interior, black then white above the doors. It feels quality, but it shakes when I brake. It's the perfect daily, I'm fixing it and I have the perfect garage with a BMW sports car and a diesel wagon with a tow hitch.
Had mine for three years and 100k miles . Glad I had one, but was glad to change it !
They should have also add coolant sensor, longer gearbox oil dipstick and not hide the power steering fluid container under the headlight
I loved my Rover 75 2.5 V6 for the 20 years I had it until I stopped driving
It’s a shame you stopped driving, but glad you got to spend your motoring in a 75
I have owned a MK4 for a couple of years . Pro ...... it is very reliable Con .....very boring to drive due to lack of acceleration.....very practical.
