I tried to get into this game two different times with 2 different characters, but the biggest thing that really turned me off was the directional blocks, especially with a shield. I feel like if you have a shield, at least, that you shouldn't have to block in a direction in order to block an attack. It just made the melee combat feel weird. As for magic, most of the spells had to be aimed like a hitscan type weapon, and I'll admit I'm not very good at aiming. I haven't tried bow combat yet, but I tested it a little bit on Haven and wasn't sure how I felt about the aiming reticle. I'm not entirely sure what I would do in this game in terms of combat, though the biggest thing I enjoyed doing was gathering and crafting stuff and leveling professions.
