i used 4 straps, and withing 5 minutes of going 25 mph, the mattress went 3 inches back. I had to throw it away and im 400$ in the hole.

Driving a Q temperpedic from Carolina to Texas. Think I’ll be okay with this method. Am obviously about the usual stuff but also concerned it will mess with the foam integrity.

These straps don't lock? Most straps have a lock feature that should be engaged once the load is secure.

Sal is a champ, moved my new mattress on 1.5 hour drive over two bridges. No lost flying mattress, made it to destination, ratchet straps huge help, great piece of mind.
