Really beautiful car. I remember the Contour / Mystique not selling well. They were expensive compared to the Tempo / Topaz they replaced. Also, I always thought the Contour looked like an old man sucking his teeth. The refresh looked better.
z3 all day, slk is gay
My 1994 Eagle Vision TSI is still running strong today, it has good gas mileage and is easy to maintain, no doubt I'll still drive this car in the next 20 years
So much backseat room. I miss my gm car
I've been thinking lately about John's continued mispronunciation of "Camry" as "Cam-Ray" back then, & am now wondering if Toyota told him to pronounce it like that just as Mitsubishi told the press to pronounce "Galant" "Ga-Lawn" for the first generation models.
It’s such a shame that they didn’t offer a manual for the slk32.
model hyundai accent hatch 1995
Still have our 1996. Right at closing in on 300,000 miles and she starts and runs everyday like a 1 year old mini-van. Sensational vehicle.
These were such good cars. I have two one of which is at 250k miles. If I could go back in time I would buy one new.
I am surprised by all the features
The Accent was released on April 1994 here in Korea
They measured a 128ft stopping distance with the first generation Tiburon, so i suspect driver error. Why not test it with ABS, though?
My mom had 2 Chevy Luminas; 1995 version from 2006-2010 and 1997 version from 2010-2013; and both of them hit almost 200,000 miles.
Who's Here From Jackass:The Movie?
love the car except for those ghastly American bumpers.
Great cars but more expensive then a Montero
This was an awesome car in it's heyday. The most comfortable car I've ever sat in or driven.
Jackass:The Movie, Anyone?
0:01 John Davis doing his best impersonation of Doug DeMuro🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This Galant and many of Mitsubishi’s car from this time up to the early 2000’s looked cool, but their radios and Mercedes Becker radios were among the worst control layouts period.
SLK all class
SLK all the way
Is it tib er on, or tib uron
I saw this car in Seinfield episode and now I am here😅
This Galant was an underrated and under appreciated car for what it was; in my opinion, it was a better constructed car and better driving car than the Toyota Camry. The Camry is overrated in my opinion; some of us don’t want to drive a car that everyone else owns.
Love the adjustable cluster lights 💕
I useto have that vehicle from my family members
I have the renamed version of this car a 98' S90, and it is by far the nicest car I've ever owned. Immensely comfortable and soothing to drive, but also not boring to drive. The sport mode switches to much a more aggressive transmission program with very crisp shifts and you can pull all the way to redline if you want ❤
I had This Ca. An 05. And I had to change the Tranny at 142,000 miles. Iand at 186,000 Miles It blew an conecting rot. I had it all. Fully loaded too. I miss it But I also had XG 350 L. Both has good. My 1/4 mile has 7.6 sec. They were both good cars. But in 2023 Parts are hard to find. The XG 350 Ls Rack and pineon assembuly hasbroke andI couldn't find the part. I miss that car.
I love Audi classic. Here in Brazil Audi beghnng sales Audi 80 and 100 sedan and Avant from 1994
The car is remember Suzuki Baleno
These were great cars. Unfortunately they weren't appreciated. The Galant had very hard competition with the Camry and Accord. I have a 1991 Galant VR4, and that car is awesome!
Wow, nice import!!!
Had a 99 3.1 that died at 143K due to the infamous intake manifold gasket. Rode nice. Quiet. Cruised down the highway 70-80 no problem. Towards the end the paint started peeling off the back deck lid something fierce. Good car overall.
My Dad’s Protégé still runs well at 28 years old today!
If only we could have cars like this today in these dreary times!
Motorweek's notoriously slow 0-60 times evident here. Most other sources had these at 9 seconds flat and that is exactly what both of my 1996 Lumina LS's did with the 3100 engine.
Beautiful this wagon
Nice wagon
I prefer the looks of the 1st gen Aurora over this one.
And that all new car for 1996 was the Sebring convertible!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these in real life in the USA. it would be really cool to see one today!
It's because most of the fell apart after about six months. They were horrible cars
😂 Front end is reminiscent of early chevy cavaliers
No AWD..But less weak trans than the Chrysler
A gourmet restaurant salad at a McDonald's price, or Bloomingdale's & Saks Fifth Avenue at a TJ Maxx price.
That's a good way of putting it. I recently bought a 2008 with the 3.8 V6 and I love it.. great car for the money
I had a 1996 that was new back in the day
One of the ugliest and most problematic car ever made lol
This generation of the Optima were actually quite decent. I know someone who had a 08 Optima LX 4 cylinder. They got over 200k miles on it, held up well, and it was maintained. Also, the Optima had the better 5 speed automatic with the 4 cylinder, the Sonata used a 4 speed automatic with the 2.4L from 06-08. The 2.7L V-6 also weren’t powerhouses by any means, but they are durable engines, as long as it’s also taken care of, also well matched to the 5AT, keep in mind Hyundai didn’t share the 3.3L in this case. Also the 2nd Gen Optima was still built on the same platform as the 1st gen (01-05) , and 3rd Gen Sonata (99-05) , but it was heavily modified and it too, was better. Overall, it wasn’t a bad car.
Its a very reliable
Nice car
This was my first car I had a 98 model
