Don't know if anybody mentioned it but red angus has much less problems with flies, if you have two cows side by side, one black one red, flies prefer the black one, and in some places that means a big difference in productivity.

very interesting. I come from Germany. I didn't know some of the European breeds. But I do know the Kazakh Whitehead breed (I was born there, this cow is mix of hereford and kalmyk). Apart from that, I think Pinzgauer cattle are very cool. Like Kerry, it's good for meat and milk.
