TreadChic was created so that treadmill users of all levels (Walkers, Runners and everyone in between) have a place to go for challenging, effective and fun treadmill workouts, tips, motivation and more. A place to build a true community with others who utilize treadmills in their fitness routine whether you use one in your home or at a gym.
What sets these workouts apart from many other treadmill workouts is that each participant is given guidelines to determine their speed at the start of each workout.
It's important that we keep our treadmills going so that they do not become clothes hangers or items for sale! Eh emm...wink..wink!
Together we will become better, stronger, faster! I'm excited and I hope that you are too! Let's go!

Movement and Strength are importance for soooo many reasons! Some of the reasons that I move consistently are to prevent Chronic Disease, for Brain Health (I see everyday what Dementia does and I want to prevent it), Heart Health, to move with my family and friends, to make my 80+ year old self proud, weight management, etc. Movement and Strength are both a necessity! Today I’m sharing some reminders about why strength training is important for everyone….. especially if you want to age well! 1. Prevents Muscle Loss (Sarcopenia): Aging leads to natural muscle loss, but weight training helps preserve and even build muscle mass. 2. Improves Bone Density: Resistance training strengthens bones, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. 3. Boosts Metabolism: Increased muscle mass enhances your resting metabolic rate, helping you burn more calories even at rest. 4. Enhances Joint Health: Lifting weights strengthens the muscles around joints, improving stability and reducing the risk of injury. 5. Improves Balance and Coordination: Strength training enhances body control and balance, reducing the risk of falls, which is especially important as we age. 6. Enhances Athletic Performance: Weight training improves power, endurance, and agility, making it a valuable tool for athletes in any sport. 7. Supports Heart Health: Lifting weights can lower blood pressure and improve heart function by increasing cardiovascular capacity. 8. Reduces the Risk of Chronic Disease: Strength training helps control blood sugar levels and improves insulin sensitivity, reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes. 9. Boosts Mental Health: Exercise, including lifting weights, releases endorphins, which help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. 10. Hello. I’ve tried several C25K programs but they all take me too fast and i usually give up by week 3-4. (Most start you off with 60-90 sec running or only go off distance) You started me off slow and i appreciate it. Gave me hope that maybe i can actually do it this time. Will update my progress. ❤️ ✅Day 1 Week 1 9/23/24 Got sick 😢 ✅Day 1 Week 2 10/2/24-Child this 30-40 min work turned into a 1.5 hr because i lost my keys in the park and had to walk around until i found them… i was shooting for 10K steps but it turned into 13k steps😂😅… see yall Friday 🙃

Done! 2 of the intervals I needed the 2 minutes recovery but I did them all plus my own bonus at the end. Minus BMR that was 700 kcal burn for me and 4 miles.

Loved I! I kept my run speed at 7.0 for the runs until the last one when I gunned it up to 8. I’ll tell you a secret. Before I do your workouts I watch cheetah run compilations on UA-cam to get motivated! I’m getting in best shape of my life at 50 and I’ve trained since high school. Like the cheetah. #HuntorDie mindset!
