What is the original source of these videos? This is great information and I’ve been looking for the complete video for years, but I haven’t found it.

It amazing how reckless the Russians were. We were in the Baltic Sea in 1986 when two Russian helos approached our fantail helo deck, BB61. We on the MarDet responded to positions with Machine guns to, if ordered, repel the Russian helos. It was pretty exciting. They hovered about 80 ft off the deck and then took off after about 15 minutes. A lot of aggressive things happened in the Baltic Sea on the deployment; the Russians did not like us there at all.

Note that the Russians are standing still and the Americans are thrashing around on the deck as if in a sanatorium for the mentally ill.
