5 Hours Of Facts About History's Greatest Warlords
I’m still in awe that the rules of the countries at war were cousins
imagine all Stalin had to do was name an obscure, limited tactical advantage city in his name and it drew Hitler into the biggest German defeat of the war.
Challenging Russia in the winter has never worked.
I put this on to unironically bore myself to sleep
The Sixth Army: I'm not sure if this is correct, but... 350,000 men when it attacked Stalingrad. 90,000 when it surrendered. 45,000 survived a month into captivity. 9,000 came out of the Soviet prison camps in the 1950's. 6,000 returned to Germany. That's an attrition rate over 98%. Whew!
The Germans made so many mistakes because of Hitlers idiocy. When the rescue attempt got close Paulus should have said the hell with this and broke out to link up. They could have withdrawn and dug in to fight another day. Hitler doomed 250,000 men. Incomprehensible. Barbarossa should have been 2 army groups instead of 3. The northern group was unnecessary Leningrad could have waited. One group attack and take Moscow. The other the oil fields. Manstien and Model were geniuses Hitler should have let them run the show.
Did they know how to tie off arteries?
What a moving tribute to those who fought during the Battle of Britain. I pray that future generations never forget the sacrifice of these brave young men and women who were manning plotting tables. Never forget the sacrifice of those from around the world who joined in this tremendous effort as well. Their efforts are often overlooked. What's particularly disturbing is the efforts and sacrifice of the Polish. After the war, their battle to survive continued because they couldn't go home. One little island stood between Hitler and total conquest of Europe. It's interesting that one German pilot said: The British didn't understand their need for all of Europe. After all these years, is he still believing in the right of Germany to OWN all of Europe, destroy entire populations and murder those they felt undeserving? We must push back against the ever increasing anti-semitic behavior around the world today to prevent another Holocaust
Why don't they just say they use bel and hasatan, who are what the muslim people worship. In their religious book, they use we, and the people can't see. A stron covenant for one week is made, and hasatan and other fallen, give their power to the beast, or bel. Most people think this passage has to do with a week split up, and the first half is good, while the last is not. No, read any version, it's never broken.
The sunni and shiite factions are the toes made of iron and clay.
These people taking over Jerusalem are in Scripture, and the shahda is the mark, and mecca is the home of the image. G-d bless. The number of a man, coincides with the final form of the shahada, as you see it on the helmets of the invaders.
Wow that is a telling that I haven't heard before the first hand accounts are shocking even today knowing all that we know about the war just wow
If I was there. I would’ve stopped it
I miss the old documentary’s. Old UA-cam had everything I swear.
Just in time for bed!

Honestly it’s kinda bothering me how people are commenting on listening to this for sleep. The people who lived during this time would be offended
Jts sickening that a veteran who raused millions was allegedly defrauded by family members..
A family member who survived WW 1 told the story of a huge guy who won medals for boxing,,he was shot at dawn by fellow soldiers for cowardice, but they said he was rambling, hadn't slept for weeks ,and had what is now known as shell shock.
A survivor tells the story of a top notch
Big g was vertically and identically challenged
A Russian tried to put a ruble in a coke machine 😂
Are you saying they almost had a crazy biche at the helm? :)
20th century has the most death toll from pandemic , famine , political prosecutions and upheavals , and human cause of world war exceeding 110 million world wide.
And the additional 20 million died from Spanish Flu soon after the war from 1918 to 1921.
Should’ve interviewed the red army soldiers and civilians who are the real survivors of the battle started by these “men”
How much🎵 for that doggie in the window, or, Who let the dogs out 🎵

Had the Dunkirk Evacuation failed, The British may well have been driven out of the War but that still wouldn't have stopped the U.S from mounting a counter invasion of Europe once it entered the War. As long as the Soviet Union stayed in the War, the US was going to break open Europe. There's 2 scenarios of an alternate D-Day in mid 1944. 1. The US temperately transfers the bulk of the massive Pacific fleet to the Atlantic and uses it to cover a landing either in the Bay of Biscay or Brittany. This would have 6 fleet carriers and almost 1000 aircraft. Not to mention the big guns of the battleships. The fleet would be slowly withdrawn as the US army pushes further inland and built new air bases .. ECT. Also. Operation Dragoon proved that invading from the U.K wasn't the only option. It was predominantly an American assault with a small contingent of Free French forces thrown in. The US landed over 100 k troops into Southern France in 3 days using North Africa as a base of operations. By the time the allies landed at Normandy in June 1944, the British army was down to it's last manpower reserves and basically had to finish the war with the army it had where as the US had barely tapped it's manpower reserves and only mobilized about half of it's economy and population during the entire war. The Soviet's saved the US from having to bare nearly the full brunt of fighting the War with the British and Commonwealth forces playing a much smaller support roll due to their much smaller armies. 80% of the equipment used by the British and Commonwealth armies was produced in America. Also the US basically armed, fed and financed the entire allied cause. Without US economic assistance, Britain would've been bankrupted out of the War by 1942. Had Hitler not wastes resources trying to build pocket battleships and built more U-boats before the War, he may well have starved Britain out of the War by June 1941. More U-boats, easier to produce tanks, a reliable source for oil and a mass produced 4 engine bomber and Hitler may well have even defeated the USSR. In any event, once the US was dragged into the War, Nazi Germany was going down or it was going to be turned into glass, right along with Japan. B29s escorted by P51s dropping atomic bombs on German cities starting in mid 1945 and ending with Germany surrending sometime in 1946 then Japan starts getting the same atomic bomb treatment afterwards.
It would be good if you could get an English-speaking editor to correct these scripts before you publish them on UA-cam. It is jarring, for instance, to be told over and over that something "may have been" when what you mean is "might have been." But props to the speaker, though. The pronunciation of place names and of French and German proper nouns is generally correct, a welcome relief from UA-cam's usual shoddy standards. Well done and thank you!
I think some of these British WW2 female survivors should become acquainted with a quaint little American device - it's called the Lady Schick razor!
Yay. First again 🤜
It is amazing that it all happened just 2 generations ago, I wander for how long will the world be able to hold to its anti-imperialist laws before some nation will just invade and take over and claim new lands for itself, erasing the previous nation from existence.
Shame there are no side-notes in the video, as they can explain a lot of the decisions done by the German command. For example there is no information at all about the need to capture Leningrad as part of the deal Hitler had with Finland, a deal that offered Germany hundreds of thousands of Finnish soldiers to support the advance on Moscow. That is also why Germany didnt rushed the capture of Moscow. In addition, after the fall of Germanys scenter front at Stalingrad, most of the top German commanders realised the war was over and focused their attention on holding on as long as possible while they arrange their own post-war survival, but none of them had the illusion that Germany can win. Hitler realised this, even though he had no proof, but he began shuffling his commanders with more loyal personal, that obviously had little understanding of war. In anyway, as pretty much all German commanders wrote in their post-war records, the war was lost at Stalingrand.
Yank here. My Great Uncle was a member of the Canadian contingent to the UK forces, he was from Ontario. He was wounded and gassed at Passchendaele, but lived to return home. I met him in 1967, 50 years after the battle and his vocal chords were still scarred from the Mustard Gas. He wouldn't talk much about the war, other than to say 'We must never have another war like that, it would be the end of all of us.'.
Great documentary, music seems very loud
Imagine those men if they saw the state of Britain now..

Did a feminist write the script to this? Jeez, talk about a man hater….
It was a great documentary untill they went WOKE on us, when talking about blacks in the American army. Very misleading and false information. Why would they interject that knowing how false it is. Very much makes me question alot of the documentaries facts now. Lost me
I couldn’t finish watching I find it disgusting that so many men and boys died in war that had nothing to do with them, while their government sat back and let it happen
Comment section made up of entirely people who love ww2, or want to use this to sleep to. I fall in both camps.
Richard Hawkins first comments sum up the British empire and it arrogance, bet he is happy not to be around to see the dumpster fire it became
Are you guys still alive
Ww1 was over 100 years ago, you'd be lucky too see a WW2 vet alive now sadly
