I think viper although is busy is way better than other classes for having 1 skill have access to 2/3 variants making your hands less busy moving about all over the place which imo is much better than being only using a few buttons strategically

Do you have any tips for someone that likes putting the abilities in same order as rotation on hotbars? I've done that successfully for my DRG no problem, which I've played for years, but for Viper it's just so difficult.

As a career healer post 1.0 ARR I finally decided to learn positionals thanks to Viper didn't care much for Meele dps especially positioning.

Maybe check if Duty finder has explore mode synced.

The removal of the debuff just made it harder to align your burstwindow into raidbuffs because your only orientation for that was the serpents ire + the debuff Now with the debuff gone you have to know how many gcd you have to do after using serpents ire befor entering reawaken (loosing uptime befor not even included)

Whiners didn't win because you are still complaining. The Viper changes aren't even a big deal because Viper before the change was kinda easy to play and only confusing at the beginning because of the amount of skills. But Viper gave only the illusion of a choice and what SE changed is basically that they showed you that this was indeed an illusion.

This "content creator" is rage baiting they took one thing away and instead of a debuff its a fucking buff for the player. they kept positional and in fact they buffed some of the actions. honestly op you are fucking reaching its sad af

I hardly see how it's any different. It was dumb as all jobs are and still is.

The fact you use a thumbnail to say nerfed is beyond misleading. They're still top dps, and even edge out against picto now. They removed an unnecessary part of the rotation I never paid attention to before and broke 21k easy at 700ilvl while still learning fights. To complain they removed an irrelevant timer, that existed for no reason other than, to hit the button you were already going to hit anyway, is childish at best. The real thing everyone wanted was for positionals not to be removed. Guess what, positionals were kept, and the job is still the EXACT SAME. While the debuff was as useful as Disembowel on Dragoon, it doesn't take from the fact they're adding archaic designs to new jobs and retaining them on old jobs. When you have buff caps screwing things, having an effective proper rotation is more engaging than "Lemme hit that button that I was already going to hit"

Sadly FF14 start to show signs from WoW before it's downfall. The classes get over simplyfied and the story is absolute trash. Let's hope they get better again. Otherwise they will have the same fate

Without the debuff, VPR just became "press what just lights up". Without the debuff, it became so much easier, and I agree with you, the skill cap lowered a lot. SE making the game so much easier...again. Maybe it is a rant, I like playing it, but it would be so much interesting with the debuff.

Thanks for this after the change, I wasn't sure what to use during the non Vicewinder/Reawakening abilities. Because you could hit any of them now and wasn't sure if it mattered or not now.
