To be honest, there are very limited materials to study for the challenge exams. Personally, I would not be challenging any exams because I feel like if there aren’t enough materials to study, I might as well register for the full PEP courses

@@veevsspace Hey there, well I prefer ACCA over CPA since ACCA is a lot easier than cpa and it doesn’t take that much time for the course…plus everyone in my family had done ACCA…i wanted to do cpa but in afraid it’s too challenging and takes a lot of time to be completed…passing the CPA exam is a lot harder

Hi, I am so sorry I have been away from this platform. To answer your question, yes I got a job simply with my ACCA, but I will be honest with you my working experience played a huge role in helping me land my first job in Canada.

@@pickingupthepieces03 if you’re aggressive enough and your CV is properly done, you should be able to get a junior accountant/entry level accounting position in the industry or accountant at an audit firm. It’s all perspective.

Hi Prakash, I apologize for the late reply. You can always show that your qualifications are in progress and attach a copy of your transcripts as evidence.

To be very honest, it totally depends on your capacity and how busy you are. If you are 9-5 person like me, it could take at least 1 year.

Hi dear, sorry for the late reply. You can always start from somewhere. Seek an entry level role within a company’s accounting department OR apply to an accounting/audit firm as an associate. Then commit to do your CPA.

Not sure there will be a renewal lol. I wish the ACCA board members would be more involved in this because studying for ACCA is not an easy job. Plus, it’s equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or masters degree depending on the route you take. That’s a lot of work!

I totally understand, but the road to CPA is totally worth it. If you see yourself becoming a leader within an Accounting/Finance department, then it’s important that you take the exams.

Hi dear, I replied to your other comment. The first step in the process is creating your CPA profile and requesting a transcript assessment. There are different pathways, so you should apply via the “Internationally Trained Accountants “ route. You will need to evaluate your university degree and have ask ACCA to send your letter of good standing directly to CPA Ontario
