I get the feeling she's the problem. That's it that's all. The statement that confirmed it for me was when she said she hasn't learnt German but will now have to do it just for the citizenship. Lol I've been to Germany many times and I've bee treated fine. She has an entitled attitude and that doesn't help. You can't go to another country and culture and feel entitled to their men. I really hope they deport this woman. Who is she with this entitlement. I visited Germany and love the people and culture. One difference between her and me. I actually tried to adapt to the language and culture even though I was there for a just a bit (Dusseldorf). It's called respect!!

I truly enjoyed this episode. She articulated everything I’ve felt and experienced during my years here perfectly. I really hope that the Germans watching this are open to listening to her. What she said about German passivity is absolutely true-and it drives me nuts. Her point about their reluctance to engage in conversations about racism is spot on. As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.” Avoiding honest conversations to “keep the peace” is a harmful mindset that perpetuates the problem. Many Germans outrightly deny the existence of racism in their country, but the reality is undeniable. They REFUSE to listen. Just look at any social media post featuring or celebrating an immigrant-you’ll see racism on full display in the comments. They often diminish racism to racial slurs or violent attacks, but it manifests in many other subtle ways. Things like turning black men away from nightclubs, landlords rejecting apartment seekers with an immigrant background, or questioning immigant's qualifications for a job are all forms of passive-aggressive racism and prejudice. Asking immigrants questions like "how long do you plan to stay". We pay so much money for these residence permits and go through enough questions while applying. We do not need additional interrogations. Regarding assimilation, she hit the nail on the head: Germany doesn’t want you to assimilate-they want you to CONFORM. If you don’t blindly CONFROM they will see you as an anomaly and hate you. The male host’s take on this is completely off..sigh. Germans often express an irrational fear of their culture being eroded, while simultaneously inviting skilled workers to come here. The irony is glaring: they vacation in Mallorca every summer but don’t bother to learn Spanish. Germans or Europeans are the OG white people, they are I do not see any colour white.. I as an Indian woman get in trouble everyday for making an effort to educate them btw in 2024 should your own responsibility to educate on racism, racial prejudice, insenstivity and all things race.. But they blatantly refuse there is any racism and my observation is not Black men but Men of Colour who came here as migrants or first generation Men of colour side often with German/European women over Black women.. am just saying it like I am seeing it.. It’s not just her experience; it is a general experience of black women in Europe where you are not naive, inexperienced, not interested in challenging the status quo or uneducated, her experience is your faith as a black woman in Europe worst if you are a black African woman not selling sex to white men. You will notice all these disgusting behaviours of white Europeans. And this arises as a result of the pictures they see about Africa ( representing black faces which denotes poverty and desperation) plus the weakness in black men to protect the vulnerable instead black men reduces us their women. Sorry I beg to differ, am a black woman in Germany, specialist in medicine with over 10 years experience. The language barrier is the major limiting factor preventing people from good integration in the system. If you are Canadian, the question is what are you doing in Germany, holding on just because of a citizenship. I still don’t get this. Please black women in Germany, work very hard and I believe success is yours, just like anywhere in the world.

Ah ah, I have to come back, 50* mins. The anger and frustration she feels at the deep seated racism and exclusion she feels as a Black immigrant in Germany is very much apart of the reason I left. I had the luxury of not having to put up with it for the citizenship benefits (at least then -screw you brexit-). The sad thing is all this rage is futile. Lived in Berlin for 2014-2017, loved the city but couldn't stand the people. As a black british woman I know I got it easier than my African counterparts tho. Berlin is great is you're young, have a few euros, like techno, vapid white boys and overpriced chemicals.
