All the volunteers who work at these food banks are amazing so I am not hear to judge but I watch a few youtubers who do receive food from their local food pantry, Some food pantries require you to show some sort of pension card or proof that you have little income and SOME DON'T ( and that is perfectly fine).......An elderly woman who heads to her local food bank once a week said she felt very uncomfortable when one of the volunteers kept asking her whether she could get money or food via another source? She said she was questioned a number of times by this new volunteer even though this food bank had already been provided info that she had little money.......It's important that all volunteers know that people receiving food banks items have already been assessed if they meet the criteria and individuals shouldn't be asking personal questions of them as to whether they can get income or food another way.......If a volunteer is in doubt then they should ask a supervisor but people often don't show up to food banks unless they are desperate so individual volunteers shouldn't be asking them personal questions if the have already been assessed hat they require assistance.

Do you guys keep finding dead dogs in your dried corn? I volunteer for a food bank here in Ohio and we keep getting corn sent to us with dead dogs hidden in them.

Volunteering is both rewarding and fun

Volunteering not only helps others, but is very fulfill for me. I enjoy volunteering at the food bank for Central Iowa.
