Lisa Jakub is an author, keynote speaker, mindfulness educator, trauma-informed wellness guide, and retired actor. She worked as an actor from the ages of 4 to 22. With more than 40 projects on her resume, including Mrs. Doubtfire and Independence Day, she left Hollywood to find a more authentic path. Lisa found her purpose by supporting others who have also struggled with anxiety and depression. She is the founder and director of Mission Flexible, a nonprofit supporting military Veterans with post-traumatic stress.

Yoga for self-care

This class is about remembering to choose yourself sometimes. You need to support and nourish yourself so you can do everything that is required of you. This is your time to do that. This is a beginner-friendly class with lots of options. As always, I am not the boss of you. Do what feels good in your body, ignore everything else. Never move to the point of pain. I hope you enjoy the class!
Meditation for Self Worth

It's easy to let that mean inner voice take over and say all kinds of terrible things that we'd never say to anyone else. Insecurity can hold us back from so many things. I have also struggled with this, and this practice has been a stepping stone in helping me create a more healthy sense of worthiness. I hope it's beneficial for you.
Yoga for Shoulders

We'll work the entire body, but give a little extra love towards opening up and strengthening the shoulders! I love this class for when I've been hunched over a computer for too long. I hope you enjoy it! As always, I make suggestions, and you make decisions. Don't move to the point of pain, but linger in that discomfort! That's where the good stuff comes from. :)
Tibetan Rites Yoga Practice

The Tibetan Rites are one of my favorite forms of yoga practice. I intergrate lots of choice and options here, so this can be intense or gentle. This practice always sets me up to feel more grounded and at peace. This is a little different than some of my other classes, so give it a try and see what you think!
Bedtime meditation for relaxation

I do it all the time - I'm watching TV or scrolling on my phone until it's time to go to bed, and then I'm too worked up to sleep. Here's my answer to that. I hope you enjoy this calming meditation that can be used before bed, or anytime! Sweet dreams, friends!

Pranayama is just a fancy word for breathing. We all breathe, of course, but most of us don't breathe well. (I definitely don't.) These practices have been super helpful for me in calming anxiety and focusing my mind.

Lisa thank you for doing this interview and speaking on your own personal experience and struggles on the set of Mrs Doubtfire. I’ve always been a huge fan of Robin Williams. I followed his career from Mork And Mindy-RV. He was such an amazing talented comedian and actor and it is really cool to hear the stories from you, Matt, Mara, and Pierce of the time you guys worked together. One of my favorite scenes is when you guys were at the pool and Robin threw the lime at Pierce with runaway fruiting. That and the restaurant scene was classic. Love that movie.

I sometimes don’t breathe, and only realize that, when I get dizzy. I’ve been this way for decades. Exhaling and holding, was impossible for me. Thanks for sharing Lisa Doll baby 😅 You look the same as back then, in the movie “Rambling Rose”. For those who may want to watch it. 😊
