You’re definitely right on that! It’s my favorite medium for sure but I have noticed this season a lot of my Hoyas I have in it are drying out faster than usual. I’m considering putting them in a self watering system! I hope your Thai comes back stronger than ever! 🫶🏼❤️‍🩹🪴sending you all the healing planty vibes!

I too live in NC in Catawba county. Home Depot also does the returns on ALL plants. Saw a guy returning all his dead shrubs that didn’t winter too well had the dead shrubs on a flat no soil or pot and he was returning like 10. As long as you have a receipt OR the credit/debit card you used to purchase it they’ll take it back no questions asked.

My 32yr old 1st cousin had the best pregnancy but that baby wasn’t coming without some help. Long story short, she was a planned C-section , mom,dad and hubby surrounded her while she was given an IV to get ready for the epidural. IV was administered and she sat up and coughed. She coughed a few more times and said she couldn’t breathe. Before they could administer oxygen, she fell back into the bed. CPR began immediately in the bed and the surgeon came running and performed the C-section in her bed with her family watching in stunned disbelief. She was rushed into the OR and they were able to find a faint pulse after 20min. She had lost a tremendous amount of blood . She was given a hysterectomy immediately . The Drs thought she might have a chance if they removed some internal organs and put them outside her body to stop any extra pressure. They also proposed to her stunned husband that they would have to amputate a couple of limbs for any chance of survival..he agreed. She was placed on a heart/lung bypass but passed away. She was an only daughter and this was her 1st pregnancy..she didn’t even know the gender..she wanted to be surprised. She had picked out her name . The baby was placed on her mom while the machines were turned off. All of this happened within 2 hrs. The baby was perfectly healthy. I never knew you could go grey overnight..but her husband literally did 😢. The best day of their lives turned into the worst day imaginable. I only pray she didn’t feel a thing ❤️. The baby was raised by Dad and has a great life. I’m so happy you made it🥰

I almost lost the peace lily that I got from my grandfather's funeral. It was fine for 2 years, then a serious episode of my depression left it dried up and near the end. All the leaves had gone crunchy, all the roots had dried up, all that was left was a chunk of rhizome about the size of an egg! It didn't even have visible growth points. Just a white fleshy rock. I pruned off everything that wasn't white, soaked it in diluted hydrogen peroxide to clean it and rehydrate, and then planted it in soil in a clear cup and just waited. I kept it slightly moist and in indirect light for 6 months and it did nothing. I dug it up a few times to see if it was a goner, and for a while it just stayed the same, then one day I dug it up and it had 3 tiny white spikes that weren't there before and I realized it was coming back! Over 1.5 years later and there are now 8 shoots growing out of the soil, it's a very cute 3 inches tall, and it finally has visible roots in the cup! It took forever, but the wait was well worth it! I tried to look for information online about rehabing a rootless, leafless peace lily and couldn't find anything, so I just winged it and was pleasantly surprised my intuition was spot on ❤

I saved a plant from my boss lol. It was rotten and only had 2 small leaves left. After i cleaned the dead off, I ran under the hottest faucet water for 15 secs. That helped kill the bacteria. She now has 5 leafs lol.

I make my own soil blend & vary the ingredients based on the plants needs but usually there's coco chips, perlite & cactus soil. This just allows me to adjust the drainage & aeration needed for each plant type. I think I have a video on how I make my soils, if you don't see it let me know & it'd be a great excuse to make an updated one. Happy planting!

I’ve got a couple of those, with only one rod into the soil it twists around, isn’t stable, but they’re Cute though If you twist the vines around your trellis counterclockwise, apparently it’s how they grow naturally, you’ll have better luck getting leaves, I tried it, works for me
