The soft bitterness of this scene, and pretty much the entire episode up to the ending in the roof feels so damn real. The more I go over this show the more emotional it makes me feel, because to me it just feels like this show is about life as a whole... It starts, you are dealt your cards, you feel all sorts of thing back to back nonstop, and then it ends when you least expect it. it's bitter, and it's sad and it's also really funny a lot of the time. As is life

It took me way too long to realise Todd's "work associates" are the kids he looks after. I always pictured him talking a group of grown adults into doing the hokey pokey with him

Oh wow! When Todd is talking about his relationship with his mum it isn’t just his mum he’s talking about, it’s also Bojack, he’s saying he’s willing to start their friendship again!

1:07 I know this video is four years old, but I just noticed that Todd’s footprints pause, then catch back up with BoJack, showing the time he left and drawing attention to the space between their paths, where Todd leaves BoJack’s. I dunno, I just feel like someone on the storyboard team felt really clever for this bit, and then no one noticed. 😅

I remember disliking Todd at the start, thinking he was just another stupid comic relief stoner character. Then again, I thought this was just another stupid “adult” animated comedy.

Tha reason Bojack hated Todd back then was because he saw Todd’s potential to be way better than him, an’ want’d to stay relevant. Now, Bojack really doesn’t git how Todd is so successful, cuz Todd escap’d Bojack’s shadow successfully an’ continues to work on himself while bein as kind as he can to ev’ryone, ev’n Bojack. I totally agree wit ev’rything Todd says here. His statement on art proves his higher intelligence compared to ev’ryone else in tha show. Simplicity is tha answer to tha complexity of life, an’ it’s all about what u take away from it.

Bo Jacks and Todd's friendship may never be the same but it something. Maybe BoJack finally learned something after his old friends told him to stay updated out of their lives

Listening to this, you'd almost forget that this dialogue is from an adult cartoon. It's that good.

I just realized, every main character kinda got what they wanted all along and what it took was to stop doing what trapped them into their worst habits and change their view on life. Bojack was able to become content with his life. It required him to get sober and be held accountable for his actions but this is what he always wished for. Todd wanted purpose in life and he got it by disgarding his attachments to his family and friends and started a healthy and nice career as a nanny Princess Caroline wanted a real family to get attached to. Even if she had to adopt rather than get pregnant and the love of her life was her work, represented by her assitant, had to be toned down a little for her familys sake Diane wanted to leave a real impact in the world, that other struggling kids could relate to. Origianlly she tried doing it with pretentious do gooding but she ended up leaving that impact, by writing a middling childrens/young adult book series about an optimist. Mr.Peanutbutter wanted true friendship and connections. Which is why he always jumped from woman to woman, but he realized that real friendship comes from treating others like equals and not always just chasing new highs This is why only Bojacks cartoonishly horrible deeds get treated with the reverance one would assume. He is the only one who cared about such a thing.

It is nice while something lasts. And yet the memory is bittersweet. Because you feel good about that memory while at the same time, you’re sad because you’ll never be able to relive the feeling of it ever again.

Todd is the only one who got a satisfying farewell. True enough, the last note everyone goes out on leaves you feeling hollow and wishful, true to Bojack's story and true to real life, but for some reason, Todd really leaves us on a good note and feels like the only person who may actually come back into Bojack's life in the future.

i suddenly remembered this show existed and went down a massive rabbit hole. this was the best possible ending for everyone involved. bojack actually, genuinely working towards improving himself and his friends doing better as well, with or without him.

Todd being nice to bojack after what he did to him is more of an Act of kindness to Todd himself i believe. Because he wants to prove to himself that no matter how broken he is he would never hurt who was there for him. I think its his way to distinguish himself from bojack and his actions.

I feel like theres some intention with Todd dressed in Red and BJ in Blue. The writers argue Todd is ‘red-pilled’ by not giving emphasis to what everything means. He doesn’t care if he seems smart or accomplished. He just does the ‘Hokey-Pokey’, learns along the way, makes some friends and has a good time. BJ has always been hung-up about the exact opposite, so he stays ‘Blue’.

"Isn't the point of art less what people _put into_ it and more what people _get out_ of it?" Okay. Yes. This line has some incredibly profound philosophical implications, no denying that. But listen again. _Put into_ it. _Get out_ of it. You _put your left hand in._ You _get your left hand out._ IT WAS ANOTHER HOKEY POKEY JOKE THIS ENTIRE TIME.

“After that, you’ll beat your record again. Every day, you’ll set a new record.” Even though Todds’ friendship with Bojack was never the same, he still believes in Bojack and encourages him as he continues to get better. I’ve seen many other comments say this, but everyone needs a Todd in their life.

Bojack and Todd wear suits of opposite colors (red and blue) as to show how far appart or disconnected they are. But at the last moment, when the say "It was nice while it lasted", todd steps forward and their shadows merge together, showing that their bond still exists. Maybe I'm over interpreting... or maybe I'm not^^

i feel like Todd is kind of like a son to Bojack in some weird messed up way. Bojack intentionally ruined all of Todd’s achievements (the rock opera) so Todd wouldn’t ever “grow up” and move out. not only that, but the whole carrying Todd on his shoulders for at least a little while since we only saw Bojack’s footprints for a majority of the distance. i don’t know LMAO it just feels like a father-son kind of relationship

Todd Chavez is proof that Aaron Paul needs to play Deadpool. He’d be better than Ryan Reynolds, especially if he doesn’t get all the control and power that Ryan has. He’d do a great job playing the Wade we know, while masking all the pain.

What a perfect final scene for Todd. It's a microcosm of who he is and how he's evolved.
