EDIT: Don’t take this seriously, this isn’t a hate comment :) I know there’s good info for beginners on the basics, but it would be nice if he spiced up the visual side of the tutorials a bit!

Thanks for your input! 🙂 The tutorial is ment to reach any artist to understand the technique behind this style of render , not too advanced ....yet 🙂 The idea is to keep setup simple and fast for iterations! As for render, Mantra or Karma works either way, nothing is locked for you! 🙂

lets say you generated a character model in hyperhuman or genie, then you would have a body mesh, could you do the same thing with it, import to mocax and join to a skeleton with a couple of clicks?
yeah, if the skeleton, is none of the three we mentioned in terms of binding mesh to the skeleton you can do that with any skeleton you have

this all seems so simple but i dont even know the basics like exporting and importing into other software like ue5, compatability or benefits of meta human over unreal engine default character skeleton and all that which i will have to learn. any chance your future tutorials could include info for the new begginner devs, i think theres going to be a lot of them as this is the era of gamemaking now what with all the advancements and ease of use and theyl probably make up most of anyones audience if they cater to beginners imo as you and im sure everyone else has experienced and understood the monumental task of learning when every tutorial only shows advanced techniques and u dont even know how to get set up to access the options theyre refering to
To be honest, I’m always tried to make complex things simple, of course with keeping the quality often simplicity lose quality, but having said that for basic stuff as you mentioned like importing exporting, I tried to explain that in basic way in the tutorial I mentioned in this video
@@diyz3n oh yes u did, u mentioned that u could do it, and how to import and export from the program, just not into the other program i guess is what i mean. as far as capatability, i think im refering to choosing which is better for you according to what eachs limitations are, like metahuman may not be able to do things in ue that ue model can do because ue probably wants people to use their own maniquens or vice versa, coz ue is closed it miight be the one that cant do a lot of stuff. this may all be changing though so the problems i heard people talking about when metahuman was released may not even be relevant anymore. thanks foir your thoughtful reply. i also mentioned mocax to a on a creator named bluedrakes channel, coz hes covering really helpful advancements that are making things super easy and i felt that it fit perfectly, hope thaats okay
yeah, totally agree with you. UE is forcing people to use metahumans. Only on Unreal Engine you can say it’s optimized like that. I try to work with Metahuman in other software. It’s so hard to work with, but having said that we design mocaX not only for MetaHuman but for Maximo too, it's cool to work with another software.

Awesome. Thanks for the tutorial. I have one question, how to assign the textures to a mixamo character that has more than one shape? I mean the ninja character has only one but what if I want to use Drake for example?
yeah, I’m totally understand question but the only solution I have is to convert this multi part shape texture to the udim as a one texture that’s will work. having said that eventually in karma, you can recreate your material with the separate part and assign it to the root of the crowd and it will work eventually to apply that individually for each agent.

I’m always trying to explain at end of the youtube video what we’re gonna do on patreon side, it’s always not about the result and rendering it’s about the approach and the mindset
@@diyz3n definitely been building on the result and combining with others vids and getting some cool looks with davinci displacement post render, my lightning hda is like 10x better after this vid, i subbed to the patreon. For this video specifically I wonder why you don't use group by range? The expression you use is very useful but doesn't work in the loop if you add branches, group by range before copy to points on the geo to copy side keeps the points connected really easily
it only grabs one of the lines it generates but if you make a group on the line itself before copying you can select that in stead of the backtick expression to throw noise on the middle of all of them without disconnecting the branches

Hi. Thanks for a nice short video, useful for beginners. I have only one advice. You need to do something about the room echo in your recording. You can try foam, also NVIDIA has a good noise suppressor based on artificial intelligence, which can remove even a working vacuum cleaner. This will help improve the quality a little. Thanks

hi... is there a way to let the crowd walk on the crowd? I mean: suppose that some agent falls to the ground in raggdoll state and some other agent is still walking... is there a way to let the walking agents walk on the fallen agents, adapting as if they are terrain (and not kicking them like a tin can)? Hi bro, I love the idea to be honest maybe in the future I will create a video for it, but in the meantime, if I want to do something like that, I will do that with sop solver in DOP level I will add ragdoll agent to the terrain and I will tell the crowd to adopt that terrain this is a concept, but technically we need to research about that.

Hi It’s actually quite simple. You just need to do that in Solaris and assign it to the root of the crowd. Everything should work perfectly. I believe the scene file on my patron has that.

Nice tutorial Sir! For thoose whos strugle with that method, probably its not working because you test the setup on the frame 1 and not on the frame 0. Frame 0 is the default param and your timeline probably start with frame 1 by default. Dont know how could you achive to work like that in the video, but its solved in my side.
