Vintage lens from the USSR days. Highly acclaimed especially for video making. It's a copy of a Zeiss lens. Rather bargain priced even for a brand new lens from old stock. The glass is spectacular.

Thank you for the video, I grew up in Overton Nevada ,my family and friends used to farm up there since the 50s ,we moved out to SLC, UT to farm up there, and this place was our playground as kids !! I went back there last year, hadn't been there since 89 and man , it was like traveling back in time, I also went up to that caves that are up in the mountains their in Rogers Springs and The VALLEY OF FIRE and couldn't believe there were rock sculptures people have done and other people have respected, we used to go pick out a big rock and take it home and did a marking on it and then take it back were we found it and man, saw some rocks that were sculptured by my grandparents, mom, dad, brothers and sisters and other family members and friends whom I have lost, were still there !!! Brought tears to my eyes !! Thank you very much for posting this video !! 💚u have no idea the size of the smile y'all put on my grill💚 !! And awesome u got ur hat back !!
Glad the video brought back fond memories Robert! This was the first time we went to Roger's Spring and it's charming and stunning. There is another spring further down the road, don't know its name. I am partial to the desert areas. There is deep beauty in the desert. This past December I found a mushroom in the Mojave! Never been to Overton. Will have to check it out the next time we are in the area. Looks charming. Didn't know about the caves up above Roger's Spring. The next time I must climb and see for myself. How wonderful you found sculptures your grandparents and parents and siblings made and left up there! Nice that no one disturbed the sculptures. Very special. What kind of farming did your family do? We lingered through Kanab and St. George a couple of times and the farming up there seems to be mostly feed for horses and it's a beauty to see. My family came to the US from the former Yugoslavia in 1970. In 1979 we drove from Paterson, NJ to San Diego, CA. That is when I fell in love with the Southwest. We went on side routes south through CO, Four Corners, back roads of AZ. Been going back every chance I get and we intend to move to Kingman, AZ. It feels right. We belong there.
@@Rudini4049 it's hard to believe but when I was a kid living there at the farm, just down the road was Mr Wayne Newton's home !! He moved our a few years ago but I used to help out at his Arabian Horse farm !!
sorry to say, but this is a fake. the font differs from the originals and many 44m-4/5 are cannibalized into 44m7s the reality is if youre looking for a sharper lens than the 44-2 series with a more pronounced swirly bokeh then look no further than the 50mm 1.8 helios 77m-4 (about twice the price of a 44-2)

Murat Ünal, I purchased it on eBay. Generally I look for "New" in the description so as to avoid marginal quality product. When available they come from Ukraine or Russia based sellers.
i own this lense from my grandfather and its great. also i think i saw that the serial number of your lense starts with 90 which means it was made in the 1990 which means you got scamed because 44m-7 manufacturing started in 1993. hope im wrong.
Mastercrz it's a great lens scam or not. I'm after the unusual and don't look for a certified pedigree. Voigtlander 25mm f 0.95 and Kowa 18mm f 1.8 are for that. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hi Stefano - I purchased the lens from www.ebay.com/usr/irbis67?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754 but I think pretty much if you look for "new old stock" lens you will have a very good lens.
Hello Rudy! This lens is good? Many people say me buy a good lens like zenit is dificult because the market have many fake copies.
Hi Marco - the lens appears to be good but I did not use it yet so in fact I do not know. The lens is inexpensive so even if it is fake it does not matter to me as I am after the unique and unusual. There have been so many of these lenses made that I doubt it makes sense for folks to counterfeit. There was a period of time when the factory was closed and some unofficial lenses were made on the sly in the closed factory. But who knows. The only way to tell is to buy it and try it.

Zdravo Brijac! It is very likely as you describe it. I haven't used the lens yet and when filming for a UA-cam post while demonstrating a product I am likely to say some "schtuff" that's not accurate. Fortunately I have no shame ;>)
We'd go for it again the next time we're there. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Yes, just get an adaptor from M42 to whatever mount your camera uses.
I lived there from 1960 to 1969. We had to flee when i was 13. We immigrated to the the US in 1970 from Austria. I never had the desire to go back, although in the interim I had visited about 1/2 of Europe, but some four years ago I sensed a fragrance while at home in my living room. It was the fragrance of the Sava river. I tried to resist the lure, but two years thereafter I took my wife and went back. The first thing I did once we arrived was to walk to the Sava river. What a treat that was!
