4Runner Trip to Moab, Utah and San Juan National Forest in Colorado (video clips and photos)
Great video sir! Had a quick question, mine works fantastic. When I shut the truck off after I get home then come back to it start it up, it will say service 4wheel drive. Then go away after another start up or long drive.
Great VIDEO..Does this device do battery reprogramming after replacement.?
Russell Williams used these to kill people
u need a microphone that doesn't pick up ambient noise
I do indeed
Those 4Runners will sell fast.
I bought a 24 4Runner about 3 weeks ago, sr5 4x4 9k miles, OTD 41k … in my area there was only 4 with less than 30k miles. The typical new generation people will buy, loyalists will hang onto what they have, and when it settles, usually 4-5 years with issues, everything should be good. But I had to get the 4.0 with the 5 speed ❤
All fluids can be done at home. Why pay $150 for a differential change when the truck is so high and you can reach it
Exactly
Man that's interesting, seems like people are waiting and seeing on the new engines...
I agree, I have the new engine in my Tacoma and love it. But our 4Runner has given us zero issues for years.
A 4Runner doesn’t have rear independent suspension
Thank you, straight to the point
My 2000 Silverado is doing about the same thing but is stuck in 4Lo. When I start the truck, (the service 4wd light is on and never goes out.), the 4 Lo light flashes 2-3 times, I hear the left-of-steering relay clicking a few times, then the 4Lo light goes out and the truck stays stuck in 4Lo & it drives like an old cow. I bought it that way, so now I have to figure out how to fix it. I took out the 4x4 actuator thinking that it couldn't remain in 4 Lo with the actuator out but It feels like it was still on because it turned like it was in 4Lo and it doesn't shift gears normally, it goes to 4000rpm, then I let off the gas and it falls into 2nd gear and does about the same thing into 3rd. Would that be normal shifting pattern if the truck was stuck in 4Lo? Like I said, I've never driven it in 2wd and am wondering if I will also have a transmission to replace...
Did u crank the keys all way up?
They sell this thing that goes on the side to hold power tools. It will hold three of them. They have nice magnet attachment stuff for those carts. I was looking at that same one today. I was thinking of that same color. It’s $150 on sale right now I think I’m going to go back and pick it up
I’ll have to check that out, this has been a great buy so far.
Such a pretty vehicle !
If you want to keep mud out of an AT tire you need to spin them and flung that mud out.
Very helpful! Thanks.
Worthless video.
My fang lights have a white wire where do I connect that?
This is from my instructions. Red- Run this to positive (Run to the INJ fuse position to get it to turn on when the car turns on) White- Back up positive wire (We do not recommend this but you can choose to run this one and it will keep the lights on all the time) Black- Run to ground Yellow- Runs to the turn signal to allow it to change when the turn signal is on.
I ran it to my turn signals
It's not just because it's made in different places the Japan filter is a factory filter and the filter made in Thailand is the value line Filter that's why you see yzz at the end of the part number if you don't see yzz on any genuine Toyota part that's an actual factory part anything that actually does say yzz is their value line that they compete with aftermarket that's one of the main reasons why you see a silicone anti-drain back valve and a rubber anti-drain back valve on the yzz one both of them are great filters but the one made in Japan the factory filter is way more expensive so in order for people to afford genuine Toyota parts they came out with a value line which has yzz in the part number
Absolutely, the Japan filter is superior in every way. I was just saying they look the same, trust me no argument on if quality is the same lol.
Technical data
Nice
Good looking 4runner!
Road trip !!!! Time to find nice hiking and crazy trail to drive !!!
Why not just latch all your unused seatbelts instead of crying about the chime all time ? 🙄
Rely appreciate this breakdown…….✊🏾
There is a scroll wheel on Subarus that lets you adjust the brightness of the instruments. It's usually on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel. When you move the scroll wheel out of the position with the dot on it, then the sensor takes over and automatically adjusts the navigation into night and day mode, depending on how dark it is. Read the manual..
Sounds like a Subaru
I think those were meant to be delivered here lol
This is a dumb video.
Yup I agree. It’s interesting seeing people on forums say they’re terrible for wet conditions. Not sure why…
It’s the internet…nobody’s ever going to agree.
That looks great. I really like those topography controls.
I have not lifted my new 2023 4Runner but people are bright-lighting me. is it because the new LEDS are so bright? (No, I do not have my high beams on)
They are bright but sometimes from the factory they are not adjusted properly. I would line it up on a garage door or wall and mark them out to see if they are point up to much.
Wow that looks sharp !!
I know this is an older video but wanted to share my issue. Have a 1999 GMC Sierra and I randomly started hearing a clicking from left side of steering wheel. Sounded like a relay clicking off and on. After maybe a month of that, the service 4wd light came on. Just thought it was the switch as I read they can be the issue most of the time. After a couple weeks, I was driving along and it just popped out of gear into neutral. Had to coast to the side of the road. Put shift lever up into park and heard a grinding noise from underneath truck. Put back into drive and could feel it go into gear so I start driving and maybe 100 feet later popped back into neutral and that was it. Had to have it towed home. Replaced shift motor on transfer case and didn't help. After I found this video and another one that shows how to replace the shift control module, I put two and two together and realized that was the noise I was hearing. The module going out. Bought used one on ebay, installed like explained in this video, boom, fixed. Should add that the lights on the 4wd selector switch did not light up at all and would not go out of 2hi when the service 4wd light came on. So be careful when that service 4wd light comes on, you could end up stranded if that control module does like mine did!!

I’ve disabled the front on my 24 OBW but recently noticed the rear seats still do it. Anyone know how to disable the rear?
Oh you must need some bar oil for your chainsaw ! Or maybe some oil to burn in a waste oil heater? Or you got money to burn. That oil had 3000 miles plus left on it.
I have syubaru outback 2015 The original18 inch can i go for 17 Inch geolander please give you're advice to me i am livingvin desert climate +45 sel
Can he make some that look like nipples?😂
That oil looks pretty clean.
Why are u changing clean oil?
Thats dope!! I like that stuff. My ram powerwagon has twist knob so i bought a cool revolver cylinder style shift know and added an ignition cover like a fighter jet.
Those are cool
Thank you sir for this, mine was completely cracked, 2 min fix because of your wisdom, thanks!
Tried using one of these (different brand) to remove an oil filter that a lube shop installed and broke the welds on it… I mean, it should come off by hand after anyone with at least half a brain installs it, but these dudes want to crank them down tighter than lugnuts.
I also ordered a furrion backup cam so I can see the cars behind me as I’m driving. You have one?
I do not but I think it would be awesome for highway driving.
Do you like those mirror extensions? Where’d you get them?
They work but there are better ones out there. These vibrate a little while driving. Purchased them from camping world.
@@Alpha-Works-Txok cool, thanks for the replies! I subscribed. Please post any updates! Cheers from Fort Worth

Shrinkflation. 😫
That’s the same size for my 2012 ford fiesta lol
Oh I want to try that one !
Very cool
