PADI Five Star Dive Resorts: Sorido Bay Resort | Kri Eco Resort

As the pioneers of diving in Raja Ampat, Papua Diving Resorts began operating Kri Eco Resort on Kri Island in 1990, followed by Sorido Bay Resort in 1994. Kri Eco Resort is our more traditional option with three bungalow types to choose from, and Sorido Bay Resort is our boutique option with 7 upscaled bungalows.
Since then, we have focused on supporting local communities, achieving award-winning conservation and outstanding services.
Plus we are strategically located in the center of the marine park area, surrounded by most of the famous dive sites, including the world record site Cape Kri, with 374 species recorded in one dive, right on our doorstep.

Manta season is back in Raja Ampat--don't miss your chance to dive or snorkel with these gentle giants.
Both reef and oceanic mantas are present in Raja Ampat, and during manta season, you can get the chance to see huge gatherings of mantas at cleaning stations. This the season for regular plankton blooms, which can lead to decreased visibility underwater; however, the plankton attracts big pelagic animals, such as the mantas.

Iconic, seeming that the Catamaran was invented first in this area as well. Maluku and Papua - from there Micronesia and Polynesia was colonised 8000 years ago!
