    How would you know if you were undercutting them? You quote what you think the job should be priced at, if the customer wants you they'll pay it.

      @@edc1569 If the customer is unhappy with the service they are receiving, and asks you for a quote. Then that is all fine, and purely business. But when you actively target a potential customer, knowing what they pay, as they have volunteered that information, or you have found out what they are paying. And you get the job purely by offering your services for less than they are paying. Then that in my opinion is unethical.

    Great vid 👏🏻 My nephews 20 years old and unsure on what to do with himself. I’d love for him to come to me for help and advice, but people want more from life than cleaning windows, it’s looked down upon and I totally get that! Which for us, is a good thing. Less competition 👍🏻 I’m 37 and on the same journey as you. I bought my house 4 years ago, should have it paid off in 6-7 years. Standard yearly investments….pay 10% off on the house, 4k into a LISA and 16k into the S&P via my vanguard stocks and shares ISA. Job done. I do check the market on the odd occasion but I’m not going to react either way. It’ll go up and it’ll go down, but in the long run it goes up!! Be nice if the pound done better though. My only worry is when I first exceed the 85k that you’re protected for. Do I get insurance or open another s&s account with another provider and start again. Not sure, but I haven’t factored that into my long term money projections anyway. All being well I should be retiring at 55 with some decent money in the bank. They should teach this stuff in schools as standard. I don’t know much AT ALL, so I just keep it simple, live frugally and treat myself to a nice holiday when I feel like it.

    I write all my work down in my small book after each day. Like you say it's just a repeat cycle but iv been doing it so long this way it takes me just a few minutes at the end if the work day. I have a simple strategy for how I mark off who's paid and owing with symbols instead of words and it's super efficient in my opinion. I don't feel any need for an app at the moment but all my notes of things to remember go in my phones note section. Everyone has their own methods and once you find that perfect setup that works for you it's a great system.

      That’s a great question Craig, as it’s making me think 🤣 It’s got to be at least 24 years ago. I have a question Bully. I have a customer who just had his house rendered. The company got cement all over the glass. Customer has a go at getting some off but unfortunately scratched a few of the windows. He has asked if I know how to get the rest off. Is a scraper the only option?

    • @Bullyswindowcleaningclasses
      @Bullyswindowcleaningclasses 2 місяці тому

      Hi Yourcleaner Firstly I would explain to the customer that the builder is liable for any damage to the windows & frames, and should have covered them before carrying out any work. Now explain that you can get it off, and you will do your best with damage limitation, but there is a chance of some scratches remaining. Now doing the job. I would give the affected glazing a thorough coating of warm soapy water (fairy liquid) Keep applying a few coats to thoroughly soak the cement, as it will slowly absorb the solution. Then using a scraper with a brand new blade scrape off the cement in one direction only, to avoid dragging sand from the cement mix across the glazing. Do this a few times and it should work well 🤟☀️

    Some great before and after shots there. Great results. Did the tfr work that quick or was it a bit of editing?

    Thanks for another great video Ian 👍🏼 I counted 25 panels, so £6 each. Is that how you price them or by time?

    What is the best way to build up commercial work? You mentioned door knocking. Is it best to visit an estate and go to each business and ask?

    I was always told that you shouldn’t use chemicals on solar panels as it voids the warranty? Is that a flocked bristle brush?

    • @Bullyswindowcleaningclasses
      @Bullyswindowcleaningclasses 2 місяці тому

      I’ve never heard that. You can use cleaning agents as long as they are not too harsh. And no it’s a regular Brushhead👍

      Hi Ched It’s certainly the easiest method I always used to choose nice sunny evenings But the whole marketing package of Flyer drops & Social Media plus Website is the end plan As everything compliments itself then

    Nice work bully! I wish I could have started window cleaning a lot sooner but better late than never ! I’m assuming you price those units based on how long it takes you , I’ve heard people say to price commercial higher but I guess you have to balance that with how long it takes in order to not be too expensive , keep Up the good work💪🏻

    When I change my resin I find that filling the vessel with fresh resin then with pure water so it's about 2 inches from full of pure water, that way the riser just pushes through the resin. That may be easier than filling the vessel with resin with it in.
