Big bikes in Northern Kenya : Ep 5/5 - Loiyangalani to Maralal
In our final episode we ride to Maralal via the windmill farms, then passing through the soft sands of South Horr and onto the some rocky hills near Baragoi (which I absolutely loved as I finally get to ride the GS on terrain I couldn't have experienced otherwise) We will be staying at the Maralal Safari Lodge for the night and then head back to Nairobi the next day. Hope you've enjoyed our trip to the Eastern part to Northern Kenya, we will visit again.. there's just too much to see up there!

Big bikes in Northern Kenya : Ep 4/5 - Kalacha to Loiyangalani (Lake Turkana)

We leave Kalacha Oasis and travel north further into the heat towards North Horr as that is the route that will eventually take us to Loiyangalani. Thankfully there are no punctures in this ride which is always a good thing. It gets bright and hot in the vast emptiness of the north.. it's quite amazing.

In this episode we wake up to close to zero visibility in Marsabit which clears out as soon as we head out of the area. Our route takes us North through a bit of the Chalbi desert over to the much awaited oasis in Kalacha, 180 km away in the heat.
Big bikes in Northern Kenya : Ep 2/5 - Wild camping to Marsabit

Welcome back to episode 2 of our Northern Adventure where we attempt to ride to Marsabit some 150km away from our campsite and hope to maybe dash to Kalacha after if we can.. we can't ..the heat tires us out earlier than expected and we rest one night in Marsabit giving us time to do small repair works to our bikes.
Big bikes in Northern Kenya : Ep 1/5 - Isiolo to wild camping

Our intended final location was Kalacha campsite and oasis for our second night, some 250 km away in the northern part of Kenya, left of Marsabit. We take the off-road route at Laisamis and head towards Kargi. However, the unexpected torrential rains the night before caused detours and delays to the point where we realized that we aren't going to make it to our destination anytime soon..in fact...

A time-lapse of the morning sunrise while we had camped out in the bush as a result of not getting to our destination on our Adventure bikes. Watch the full series to see the bright views of the Chalbi desert to the dark blues of Lake Turkana and down to the rocky roads of Baragoi.

We plan for an early start today so we can get to our new destination Bandipur, however, aftermath of the rains has caused landslides a few kms away so we wait till about 3pm and begin our dash to Pokhara which is closer than Bandipur as we don't prefer to ride too late into the night.
Nepal - ep4/8 : Pokhara to Muktinath

It's a long day of riding, 200km may not sound like much, but from Pokhara to Muktinath the terrain does get tricky but also fun. Some fast twisties on tarmac only after some wet hill-climbs though. Amir slaps a cow too! hahaha! enjoy..

Welcome back to another motorcycle adventure trip, this time the boys and I are in Nepal at the end of September till mid October. We think we are going to get Royal Enfield Himalayans, but instead we use the mighty Honda crf250 to tackle this terrain. Stick around for this series as we get wet and mucky traversing through beautiful Nepal. In this video we head to a small village in the hills t...

How is the security situation in Baragoi?
No security issues.. we rode through the town and the locals were happy to see us but no issues otherwise
@@QureshSharafali I will decide weather to use this once in Maralal
I am planning for this trip on my small bike and am amazed to see that you actually made it through this challeging stretch on these super heavy bikes. You guys must be skillful. How long did you take from Marsabit to Kalacha Campsite? For me I will be coming from opposite direction where I will do North Horr to Marsabit.
Since you're coming from the other side you must carry lots of fuel and water..mostly water.. it is hot! Don't do it alone is all I can say as you may need help incase of anything and doing it alone in the heat is a bad idea.
We also had to deal with two punctures so that took up an hour's worth of time.. so about 7hours of ride time
@@QureshSharafali I saw you repair a GS under the only tree. 7 hrs is not bad. We have done it on cruisers before and I know its a tough stretch
@@QureshSharafali as at now we are two guys. I hope the other guy wont back out.
@@africavacationsafaris try get a more people..we were a total of 6 men. 4 bikes and a backup car with 2 people (the driver and our backup rider just incase any of us got too tired and need to take a break etc.) main thing is water.. when you're up north in the heat you get tired quicker.. carry as much water as you can.. this is where the backup car helped.. we would replenish our hydration bags at every pitstop
the view at the top was just doing the thing

Hello Rohan, we did this route on the 2nd of October, we were unlucky as the monsoon lingered on but the weather should be a lot better for you in November with clearer skies. have a great time and be safe
