I'm amazed you had more than one. It's really difficult to find work in Australia (at least Melbourne) when it's for minimum wage stuff. I was misled by your UA-cam username at first because I interpreted it as someone who was running away from Japan, but this is not the case. I am not sure if anyone else had this problem before. Hello Hide. So in western culture we are taught to ask how someone is feeling because it shows a person your interest in how they are feeling in that moment, it shows interest in break "ice" in the engagement being informal and more personal. It also allows for the two individuals to share something and allows us to bond in the moment and create a dialogue of engagement in that meeting. Its an Ice breaker. A lot of how we greet one another is informal. Hopefully that helps. Its very much a cultural thing and huge difference from a intensly formal Japanese way. 😊
