But yet you don't believe in the virgin birth even though it's scripture
Ortodox is the only Apostolic Church
The key is "have you united yourself with Christ?". If you have then you will do what he asks or wills out of Love for Christ. To do otherwise is not love for Christ. 1 John. This is NOT a works based salvation. IF you think it is then you don't understand what works based salvation is. Matthew 7:21 is not talk about a works based salvation. Jesus didn't deny them because they were depending on their works for salvation. Jesus denied because he never knew them. They never united themselves to Christ. Had they done so then they would have quit doing the works that lead to death but since they did continue in those evil works proved that they have not united themselves to Christ.
exactly
Thank you for your story. Former Protestant now Orthodox on the journey

Wake up
Excellent clip. Well done to the Brother
You schooled that dude.
The Medieval European Catholics thought that the King of Ethiopia was the legendary Prester John. Marco Polo described Ethiopia as, "...a magnificent Christian land".. "When ambassadors from Emperor Zara Yaqob attended the Council of Florence in 1441, they were confused when (Roman Catholic-led) council prelates insisted to the Ethiopians to refer to themselves as representatives of their monarch Prester John. They tried to explain that nowhere in Zara Yaqob's list of regnal names did that title occur. However, their admonitions did little to stop Europeans from calling the King of Ethiopia Prester John." -Wikipedia article on Prester John ❤️ 😍 from a Catholic brother 🇻🇦 ✝️ 🤝 🇪🇹 ☦️

Dear fellow Ethiopian brother, thank you for honoring our home country but don't mix science perspective and Bible perspective and we are here talking about Christianity. If you're talking about the origin if man kind from science perspective, now you're talking about the evolution theory which is totally against of the creation of God and Christianity.

It is true that Christianity was likely in Ethiopia before Europe, see Acts chapter 8. However, this in no way supports the orthodox belief system as being the truth! If it goes against the word of God, it's false. Mary does not hear prayers, nor does She Answer prayers PERIOD Jesus Christ is The Only way. PERIOD. There's no praying to dead saints, angels or veneration of saints in scripture. To pray to Mary and to believe she hears and pleads on your behalf, is to commit the sin of idolatry. And no idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of God.
Ok brother then why do you go to your pastor to pray for you???

Saint Sophrony pray to God for us!
When I read church history, I see a body of Believers spreading the Gospel and trying to not be killed. So I see a tree trunk which eventually has branches. They each become something, and many are branches which died out or have descendants that are minor players. As a Protestant who is conservative and orthodox in terms of following the core beliefs of the Bible, I think there are many true Christians in all of the church branches. There are also false Christians and even wolves in sheeps' clothing. The one thing Orthodox and Catholic believers helped me to do is to learn church history. It is fasvinating and makes me feel so connected to the early church, my heritage. God Bless!
Thank you father. Very timely.
I honestly think that the history and current state of the Catholic Church speaks for itself. The long history of violence and scandals is enough for me to believe that it was never what God intended it to be. These issues happen when you allow man to get way to involved in things that they were not meant to be like changing doctrine.
That was so beautiful to listen to. Christianity is a levant religion that came out of Judaism. Most of christianity is Judaism in a pinkier wrap
Salute to Ethiopia
He has an amazing mind and way with words.
I believe So, because Old People Practice the Covering of the Head, while Making Prayers. In South East ASIA Some Churches they have Black Madona. Yes Christianity is Never A Religion. Jesus did Not Come Down on Earth and Walk as a Flesh to Preach the Holy Spirit of The Holy Father. Not to Establish Religion.
So he came to do what?
That's not the argument. The argument is about justification not concerning proof of salvation. James and Paul are dealing woth different aspects of the same thing. Oh and "Don't call anyone father" within the context of the congregation.
❤❤❤
The Ethiopian know this and does go around promoting it. You must seek and find it for your self!
God bless Roosh
Love history, now I want know how the Bible become so corrupt in Europe
If you read the Bible the whole story takes place in Africa…. There’s no way it started anywhere else
TRUE 🗿✝️
This is true .
Thruth
Where are you, Roosh?
Anti-white racists
Not really, we didn't have Christianity, Europeans took something from us changed it to fit their narrative and colonial intentions, then called it Christianity. The Bible and the Ethiopia book dont hold the same history, they hold similar history and the Bible has gaps of time to erase events that they can't fit to colonial intentions.
Bro kept cooking 😂
Before the arrival of Christianity, Ethiopia was essentially a polytheist land where people worshipped different forms of paganism. The gods Astar, Meder and Mahrem represented the sky, earth and war, respectively. These three gods were central to traditional and spiritual rituals.
Amen ❤
Amen ❤
LISTEN: To say Christianity originated in Africa is Debatable . Before the Ethiopian bible or any books or emerald tablets. brings this QUESTION. WHAT was here before Christianity in AFRICA? or Any Country? Before Religion? Does anyone know! clue? This was Before Religion or Any written scriptures or books! Its more important than any written scriptures , because it was here before Religion. And it Did not Originate in Any Country! Does anyone know?? if you know this? this will lead you to The Creator God, And not religion. Again it was Here before religion.
This is true. At the same time, Christianity in Africa was predominantly concentrated to Egypt, Libya, Carthage, and Ethiopia during the first through 5th Centuries.... It didn't spread from those areas to other parts of Africa. It stayed in those regions and the other regions in Africa definitely were introduced to Christianity through colonialism
Lol. Warching people argue about which fairytale is more accutate is pretty funny. For about a minute. Then i remembered these are supposed to be adults. Then it was just sad.
I think what I think about most here is Roman’s 5 talking about abarahams faith. Now it’s not the belief itself which solidifies his faith, it’s the works following his belief. If God tells you to do something, or if his Word tells you to do something, and you do not do it. What does that mean? That’s something we should think about when rejecting what God wants for us in our lives. My personal testimony, I could not say “I believe You, God, are my Lord and Savior” without getting rid of my tarot cards and crystals and saying no to my sexual immoral life (being a homosexual), it would be contradictory. But if I did all that and I still curse and eat junk food, we still should consider, what does it mean if I’m not listening to what the Lord is telling me? I think that’s a significant question for ourselves. However, it’s still stand true that if I did not leave the life I knew to follow Christ I’d be lying to myself and to God that I believed Him. We gotta dive deeper. Do we want a greasy grace, yay I’m saved now I can do almost anything. Or a true relationship of sacrifice and service and denying of the flesh.
It's not only Ethiopia, but even West.End south and north believed in christ the king way before european stepped foot in our land
no it was only Ethiopia, west Africa was Muslim and native religion only before the white man came
@@Schoolrumblefan I'm sorry are you from Southern Africa
@@christianndlovu-lh7vu West Africa, south was not Christian either, it was native, Christianity couldn't have spread there due to the sahara, and the arab empires controlling the north
@@Schoolrumblefan look I'm from Southern Africa myself and I can tell you for a fact our people did believe in God maybe not the eurocentric way but still we did believe in a higher power indigenous people of Canada for example believed in the Creator and believed he was the one who was responsible for making all the land as it or the many Chinese depictions of the Bible. You cannot simply believe that the God was presented to the world came through the means of colonization, slavery , and opression, like you are buying into the white man's lie in history if you were to believe that it's true
@@Schoolrumblefan no Islamic religion started in 500 AC, before it used to be one continent call it Ethiopia or Kemet it wasn't called Africa until Arabs invaded read history
When did the religion get there
It Started There! Africa is the Beginning.
@@Lamontira not Christianity
@@SeantaviousStanley YES CHRISTIANITY! Do some research and learn something!
@@SeantaviousStanley even life began there 🎉In 14century Ethiopia was a Christian continent. before the Arabs invaded Today's Africa it was refered as Kemet which means black/Ethiopia was like how you call Africa today,it was one not devided, today's Africa was refered as Kush Kingdom, after Arabs invaded Kemet, people migrated from the north to south, mind you all the tribes mentioned in the bible are in today's Africa Bathlomeo apostle of Christ traveled to Armenia to teach Christ teachings and it became the first country to adopt Christianity in Eastern Europe
Christianity was in Africa before Europe is really un historical and incorrect come on Paul walked among the Greeks and Roman’s please

In order to have a canon of scripture u need the universal acceptance by the church most of books you r naming were in the Mediterranean world where the judeans live - please
You mean the first Christian government? Because Ethiopia is 2,000 miles from holy land -ie. Syria is right next door the word Christian comes from Syria first used there
Also the Ethiopian Bible was written before Jerome’s Latin Vulgate
