I put this video on the backburner for months, and i thought it was gonna be a predictible and cliche video, but when you said F*ck the cat too, i had to double take and it made me think. Great storytelling and even though theres nothing new under the sun. The way you delivered this message gave me a new perspective. Bravo hermano, bravo
thank you for the kind words man, it honestly means a lot to me. i realized a while ago that even though it’s hard to come up with a completely new idea/thought, it just takes a bit of creativity to deliver it in a way that reaches a new audience. comments like this show me it’s worth doing :) all the best
Thank you very much bro....life is easier as an outcast !
glad you liked it man, all the best :)
Where is the new video? D:
thank you for asking man, it makes me happy that people are looking forward to more :) my honest answer is that i made excuses & let my perfectionism take over lol. kinda shot myself in the foot now because it’s the busiest time of year socially for me, but i’m aiming to get it out by NYE. 80% of it has been done for weeks now! consistent uploads are my only focus going forward :)
@liamzgb Well, atleast quality will be good. This reminds me of Fern, you need to wait long, but you will get high quality content.
haha i love that channel but i’d like to upload more often. quality > quantity still though
O formato de vídeo, a resolução, a filmagem, as piadas, tudo isso junto faz esse vídeo ser algo tão único que eu nem percebo o tempo passando enquanto eu assisto, isso que é conteúdo.
thank you so much man :) comments like this mean a lot to me. my next video will be done soon!
I recently came across a concept having to do with reaching your goals. The punchline is "Don't try to come to the results, let the results come to you" meaning that you can become a person to which your goal is attracted to, kinda relates yo the quote at 4:16
haven’t heard that one before but honestly i never listen to that advice haha i get either too lazy or too restless waiting for things to happen. i’m still trying to find a better balance
i just love the aspect ratio for this video, it really amplifies the entire experience! the entire thing was framed very well-- the quote about what your friend said in the beginning was something I used to abide by all the time when I was younger, but I've been slipping out of it recently-- I always hated the concept of "house points" in school because it made discipline a competition, everything in school is competitive and as I've grown I started falling into the mass competition that has one winner who doesn't feel like they've won. this video gave me the motivation to get out of the rut :) and being exceptional is always better because you do things for yourself then, you know its definitely *you* who likes something, not society.
thank you man, i’m glad you liked it :) i see the advantages to competition, but i think lots of people overlook the exact problem you pointed out. i’ve been happier since i started focusing on being a better version of myself instead of trying to just be better than everybody else. all the best bro!
@@liamzgb thanks! you're doing great stuff out here, and as you said being a better version of yourself *for* yourself is the most important thing :)
i really appreciate that man, thank you. got lots more on the way now :)
Beautiful composition what amazing shots you chose. I see this every day in my high school, it is so much easier to be me then pretend I am someone I'm to just to have “cool friends”
glad you liked it bro :) keep doing you
I really enjoyed this video thank you
i’m so glad :) more to come!
Please tell me the name of the piano piece. I'd like to learn it. Thank you!
i don’t have the exact song names on me but almost all of the piano music i use is by Yehezkel Raz :)
5:19 Can’t confirm either way. Sometimes it’s just: hard choices, hard life……
yeah it can feel like that sometimes ngl
Make sure your the kind of outsider that still works a job they hate and lives by all the rules of society.
hard pass lmao
Oh no, viewership... now you did it, by fitting in and being the outcast we all romanticize. This is just thoughtful recursion. Love the vid though 😊
hahaha honestly i’ve been laughing at the irony of *this* video being the one that blew up. thank you though :)
Holy moly, this video was good.
thank you :) more to come
Dang. Thats some incredible insight. I'm an autistic (relatively minor, but it majorly affects how I think and interact with the world) highschooler who has never fit in and this video is pretty much a summary of all the lessons I've learned from my experiences at school. I always tried to conform to social norms up until sophomore year, which was when I had the realization that friends just aren't important to me and living my own way, free of care for what others think and not conforming to social rules set by the majority when my ways work just fine, has a much larger impact on my mental states/overall mentality about life. I never gave it as much thought as I do for other chief matters, but this video is an almost perfect reflection of my own understanding of solidarity and the unreasonable fear of leaving the bounds of social norms.
thanks for sharing man, i’m glad you could connect with this :) high school is weird bc you’re stuck with the same 30-50 people each day & that’s the selection pool you’ve got for friends. nobody really talks about how in the ‘real world’ that just doesn’t happen to the same extent - you can find your people & build a social circle that makes your life better in every way. i think the key to attracting the right people, for me at least, was being true to myself (as corny as that sounds). authenticity is everything. seems like you learned it sooner than i did :) all the best
For real? Im crying and dont know why, fuck I really want to be somebody
use those tears & take the first step to become that person you want to be man! i always come back to this idea that you aren’t who you say you are or who you believe you are - you are just the result of what you do. that’s really good news, because it means you can just do the things that it takes to become the best version of yourself, whatever that looks like. you just have to start with something small & keep going :) i’m rooting for you bro
Life becomes so much easier when you stop giving a shit about others peoples thoughts. Constantly trying to adapt to stupid trends that benefit you nothing is THE BIGGEST waste of your money and time, just to get some attention? Bruh, just stop for a moment and think, do what makes you happy not what makes other people happy.
it’s such a simple thing that takes so much intentional effort to put into practice. but once you do, i think it’s really hard to ever go back.
i love the 4:3 format and used to keep taking 4:3 pictures for a long time after it went out of fashion. thank you for bringing it back
thank you! something about it just makes me happy. i’m really glad you like it too :)
GREAT video man and very much suited to the little mental shift I'm going through atm since finishing university. That uncertainty of whether I wanna take on this persona that everyone else does of "career driven" so and so or just be me and live my life. Love the quotes. Much appreciated
i’m in my last year of uni too, so i get where you’re coming from. i think the fact that you see being ‘career driven’ as a persona & not an absolute truth about you says it all! no point accepting a label if it’s not helpful. obviously idk your situation, but here are some questions that might be worth asking yourself: what would you do if money wasn’t a factor? 10 years from now, would you rather regret the pain of trying and failing at something you love, or never trying it at all? what’s stopping you from doing what you love right now? do you even know what you love? if the answer is no, how would you find out? i’m a sucker for some good questions lol, hopefully they can help :) all the best
Hey, while watching this. I just had tears in my eyes. My whole life I've just been pretending, adjusting, not expressing myself honestly. Each day feels like me building a cage for myself. I've friends who i hang out with but still feel a lot lonely.
wow, i’m honoured that this had such an impact on you. use those tears as a wake up call to stop building that cage man! you can just start by doing one little thing today that you can be proud of, & then keep going little by little. progress matters more than perfection. all the best :)
Awesome! Subbed :)
thank you bro :) more to come
0:41 ROFL man, caught me off guard
hahaha i’m glad bro, thanks for the comment
fuck man, the image of you scrolling your phone into the side of your head.... that shit hit
thanks bro, glad you liked it. i was trying so hard to keep a straight face the whole time haha
dang... i dont know how you only have 8ik subscribers you deserve more
haha thank you bro, i had 76 subs when i released this vid so 8k is already crazy to me
6:13 "What's stopping me?" Being a f*cking coward, that's what and I can't change it. So what should I do, if I don't feel that changing that will ever be possible?
give yourself some credit man. you weren’t born with the label “coward” on your forehead, & you probably don’t have a coward gene. it’s just a behaviour, & nothing more. that’s really good news for you - behaviours are entirely within your control. you aren’t what you say you are, you are what you do. i think it was Jocko who said that courage is an unfakeable trait. by definition, if you’re scared of something but do it anyways, that *is* courage. you can *feel* like you’re a coward, but that won’t matter at all if you just do the thing anyways. you’ll never be able to flip a switch & just become perfect overnight. the goal is way simpler than that. as Alex Hormozi says, confidence doesn’t come from saying affirmations in the mirror or just “believing in yourself.” it comes from taking a little step forward every single day until you’ve given yourself an undeniable stack of proof that you are who you say you are. you just have to take the first step bro! i’m rooting for you :) all the best
@@liamzgb damn thanks, fact that you responded and in that elaborated way is already making me feel better. Thanks for kind words, you are right I will try, probably won't succeed, but will try. Once again I'm very greatful that you responded, it means a lot to me
it’s the least i can do man, you already took the first & hardest step forward just by being honest to yourself. all you gotta do is keep taking little steps forward. progress matters more than perfection - the only way to fail is to stop trying. all the best bro :) i’m rooting for you
3:23 🔥
thank you bro :)
What happened to cooperation rather than competition?
i think it exists everywhere! as corny as it sounds, the person i was yesterday is the only person i care about being better than :)
@liamzgb no never, I'd like to be helpful to both future me and past me
@liamzgb why would you work against yourself ever, compete to be better, when you are the building block of your future?
i think self love is a mix between 2 things: 1. accepting and learning to love the few things you can’t change about yourself (ex. your past, your genetics, etc.) 2. identifying the things you don’t like about yourself that you *can* change (ex. your confidence, conversational skills, fitness, etc.) and putting in the effort to make yourself into this ‘better’ version of yourself. i think accepting your *fixable* negative behaviours as “just the way i am” is borderline egotistical.
@liamzgb if you didn't fix something that wasn't correct, wouldn't that be irrational?
this was made really well and you really conveyed some thoughts I’ve had in a great densely packed way.
thank you, i’m so glad you could connect with it :) all the best
0:32 fake outcast......... real ones don't have any friends
lmao checkmate
looking at this at one of the lowest point right now you are very inspiring I hope everyone here gets help if they need and love if they want <3
i’m glad you liked this man, keep going! tough times won’t last forever
funny you mnetioned this
funny you mentioned how funny it is that i mentioned this
@@liamzgb cause i've been a social outcast for almost 10 years now and i thought it was gonna bother me but it really hasn't
"Whats stopping you?" Perhaps rhetorical question, but I think is an important one to discuss. The feeling of being lonely is a powerful motivator to conform. So powerful that family will yell at you to conform not to stain them with your uniqueness. It's more extreme in Asian cultures, yet happens in westerns as well.
well said - i think that’s one aspect of growth that’s really easy to overlook. it’s easy to say “just stop caring what people think,” but it’s a lot harder to actually do. my thing is, either way is hard. you either deal with the pain of being rejected by certain people around you, or you deal with the pain of not living the life you want. thanks for the comment :)

this video answers and reassures SO many things that have been on my mind for so long. I've always wondered why everyone conformed and stuck to certain ideals and never bothered to just be who they were. I probably still have a lot more to learn at just 15, but it's really comforting seeing many others here share the same sort of curiosities keep up the work! I really look forward to see what other discussions you may bring up, this video alone is incredibly insightful and I imagine you have a lot more things to say
i’m so glad you could connect with this video man. you’re years ahead of most people if you’re that curious & self aware at 15 - never lose it! btw if you like videos like this, i think you’d like the book, The Almanac of Naval Ravikant. it’s free on his website. i first read it at 19 & i still wish i found it sooner haha. all the best bro
Holy shit bro, what a great video. Thanks for that 🙏
thank you man! means a lot to me fr
It is.
mycellphoneisbroken2 lol get it?
Thank you for this video, I cannot tell you how much of it you have gotten right about what I'm experiencing right now as a person figuring themselves out. I appreciate you man
i’m so glad you could get something out of this :) it’s only so accurate because i’m still figuring things out myself haha. all the best
Whats stopping me? The fact that i watch this video at 11 PM about to fall asleep and probably dont have the same motivation as right now to get out of my own hell
“we don’t rise to the level of our motivation, we fall to the level of our systems” one of the harsh realities i learned is that motivation usually comes AFTER taking action, not the other way around. i’m still working on it myself. all you can do is just take one little step forward & stop expecting perfection from yourself. a good start is to get out of bed and do something you can be proud of before checking your phone. progress > perfection :) rooting for you bro just keep going
this the best motivational video i have seen in a while
i’m honoured bro, sometimes it’s nice just being reminded of things we already know :)
Reminds me of Sneako's old videos - great production
big compliment, thank you bro :)
never do things out of fear, only out of spite
spite hurts you just as much imo
BIG WIN!!
thank you!!! happy early birthday :)
I have spent most of my life actively denying myself extrinsic motivation.
it really does take effort but it’s helped me a lot
Looks like it worked for you o7
still figuring things out haha
thanks mate... this is what i needed
i’m glad bro, means a lot to hear :) all the best
I like the shot where you scrolled the reels into your brain. Well done.
thank you man, i was trying to keep a straight face haha
@@liamzgb :D

thank you bro :)
Liam, ur the goat
haha thank you bro you got me blushing
One who doesn't love the road will always dream about unreachable destinations.
haha dreaming can be fun too sometimes but i think it gets old fast if you don’t love doing the work to get there
@@liamzgb true
loved loved the intro it really sum the video up, like you should cut this part but as you said there is no right or wrong why of doing a video
thank you bro, that’s what i love about making these videos! it was a pure fluke that just happened to work perfectly. i appreciate the comment :)
Being bored, and sitting with boredom and the uncomfortable feelings, without running from them, can make you do anything if you sit long enough with it. Stop distracting yourself, and be here, with compassion for yourself.
“all of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone” - someone smarter than me lol
