1950's Reclaimed Counter Top Guitar Build
I built this guitar from a counter top I pulled out of an old kitchen reno I was involved with. Tons of fun! If you're interested in having me make one for you shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do! The body design is uniquely my own. The chrome body moulding adds a touch of that "Retro Diner" feel. I sometimes refer to this design as the "Table Top". The matching toaster amp is also a cool little touch.
Because I make this guitar in other variations (not always with the chrome trim and laminate top) I'm looking suggestions for a model name. So if you've got an idea for a cool name for this body style please share it. I'll mention it in an upcoming video and give a shout out. Thanks for watching!

I re-purposed this non-working old radio into a functional bass guitar amplifier. A fun little project that took just under 24 hours. Please like and subscribe (that's what I'm told is a good thing to ask people to do). If there's an idea you have for something you might like to see me make or re-purpose leave a comment. Thanks!

Another video from " You Don't Know Dick TV" Have you ever thought... hmmm, let's see... I've got this old toaster...wonder what I could make with it? Here's what I did with an old toaster and a mini guitar amplifier. This video and content are purely for entertainment purposes. I had to make this one up as I went along. A fun little project. Enjoy. :) Dick Music by: DJ Warkentin

    I'm assuming the tube amp inside wasn't working? Some have an RCA aux input and sound great as-is. Although it sounds pretty great now, too. I would have also taken the opportunity to add a larger speaker.

    I have seen a similar stand that has one step on the bottom support to hold a thinner solid body electric guitar, and the full width stop holds a thicker full sized acoustic.

    Love the details! But I think it's quite heavy?

    This is just awesome, so simple, fun and easy to make....directions were well thought out and planed....made two in one afternoon for gifts thanks so much for sharing. As a note, I used pocket holes to connect the back brace and foot...seems to work well...(I did put wood plugs in to cover the holes made by the jig)

    At 9:20 minute mark, when it collapses.the wood isn't touching flat, likely because of the hinge. Maybe a felt in between would give it a together collapsed feel.

    Great video Dick. I would love to make a stand like this for under $5 but I don't have a compound mitre saw. Any hints or tricks on how best to do this with a hand saw or jig saw? Also, I would like to make this stand to put my Larrivée acoustic on, but it has proven to be prone to cracking in situations with variable humidity, so I actually hesitate to display it on a stand like this. Would you have any tips in such a situation?

    • @bobbuilder1499
      @bobbuilder1499 4 роки тому

      @Clinton Skibitzky Dont put it on a stand like this ! Use one more suitable to your Larrivée acoustic AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
